English Standard Version

34 Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar. Joab was commander of the king’s army. (1Ki 1:7; 1Ch 11:6; 1Ch 24:6; 1Ch 27:5) 

New International Version

34 (Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar.) Joab was the commander of the royal army. 

New International Reader’s Version

34 Jehoiada and Abiathar became the next advisers after Ahithophel. Jehoiada was the son of Benaiah. Joab was the commander of the royal army. 

King James Version

34 And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king' army was Joab.
