English Standard Version

29 Of the Benjaminites, the kinsmen of Saul, 3,000, of whom the majority had to that point kept their allegiance to the house of Saul. (2Sa 2:8; 1Ch 12:2) 

New International Version

29 from Benjamin, Saul’s tribe – 3,000, most of whom had remained loyal to Saul’s house until then; 

New International Reader’s Version

29 The men from Benjamin were from Saul’s tribe. Most of them had remained faithful to Saul’s family until that time. The total number of them was 3,000. 

King James Version

29 And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
