English Standard Version

8 And he built the city all around from the Millo in complete circuit, and Joab repaired the rest of the city. 

New International Version

8 He built up the city around it, from the terraces[1] to the surrounding wall, while Joab restored the rest of the city. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 He built up the city around the fort. He filled in the low places. He built a wall around it. During that time, Joab built up the rest of the city. 

King James Version

8 And he built the city round about, even from Millo round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city.
