1 Chronicles 10:13

English Standard Version

13 So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. (1Sa 13:13; 1Sa 15:23; 1Sa 28:7) 

New International Version

13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, 

New International Reader’s Version

13 Saul died because he wasn’t faithful to the LORD. He didn’t obey the word of the LORD. He even asked for advice from a person who gets messages from people who have died. 

King James Version

13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it ;
