1 Пісня сходження. Досить пригнічували мене ще з юності, – нехай скаже Ізраїль, –

2 досить пригнічували мене ще з юності, та не здолали мене!

3 На спині моїй орали орачі, протягнули свої довгі борозни.

4 ГОСПОДЬ праведний: Він розсік пута нечестивців.

5 Нехай осоромляться й назад відсахнуться всі, хто ненавидить Сіон.

6 Нехай стануть вони, як трава на даху, що засихає, перш ніж виросте,

7 якою жнець не наповнить долоні своєї, і той, хто снопи в’яже, не візьме її оберемком.

8 І не скажуть перехожі: «Благословення ГОСПОДНЬОГО вам! Благословляємо вас іменем ГОСПОДА!»

1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.

2 You will eat the fruit of your labour; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots round your table.

4 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord.

5 May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

6 May you live to see your children’s children – peace be on Israel.
