Wer einsichtig bleibt, findet Glück

1 Besser ein Armer, der schuldlos seinen Weg geht, als ein Dummer mit verlogenen Lippen. (Spr 28,6) 2 Unvernünftige Begierde ist nicht gut, und wer hastig läuft, tritt fehl. (Spr 21,5; Spr 29,20) 3 Seine eigene Torheit führt den Menschen in die Irre, sein Herz aber zürnt über den HERRN. 4 Vermögen vermehrt die Zahl der Freunde, der Arme aber wird von seinem Freund verlassen. (Spr 14,20; Spr 19,6) 5 Ein falscher Zeuge bleibt nicht ungestraft, und wer Lügen vorbringt, wird nicht entkommen. (Spr 6,19; Spr 21,28) 6 Viele schmeicheln dem Vornehmen, und wer Geschenke verteilt, hat jeden zum Freund. (Spr 17,8; Spr 19,4) 7 Den Armen verschmähen alle seine Brüder, und auch seine Freunde bleiben ihm fern^[1]. 8 Wer sich Verstand erwirbt, liebt sein Leben, wer einsichtig bleibt, findet Glück. 9 Ein falscher Zeuge bleibt nicht ungestraft, und wer Lügen vorbringt, geht zugrunde. (Spr 6,15) 10 Einem Dummen steht es nicht zu, in Wohlstand zu leben, noch weniger einem Sklaven, über Fürsten zu herrschen. (Spr 26,1; Spr 30,22; Pred 10,6) 11 Einsicht macht einen Menschen geduldig, und ehrenvoll ist es für ihn, über Verfehlungen hinwegzugehen. (Spr 14,29; Spr 20,22) 12 Wie das Knurren des Löwen ist der Zorn des Königs, und wie Tau auf dem Gras ist seine Gunst. (Spr 16,14) 13 Ein dummer Sohn ist ein Unglück für den Vater, und die Streitsucht einer Frau ist wie ein ständig tropfendes Dach. (Spr 10,1; Spr 21,9) 14 Haus und Habe sind das Erbe der Väter, eine verständige Frau aber ist ein Geschenk des HERRN. (Spr 12,4) 15 Faulheit lässt in tiefen Schlaf fallen, und wer träge ist, wird Hunger leiden. (Spr 6,11) 16 Wer das Gebot hält, schützt sein Leben, wer nicht auf seine Wege achtet, wird sterben. (Spr 16,17) 17 Wer sich des Armen erbarmt, leiht dem HERRN, und der wird ihm seine gute Tat vergelten. (Spr 22,9; Spr 28,27; Mt 10,42) 18 Züchtige deinen Sohn, solange noch Hoffnung ist, doch lass dich nicht hinreissen, ihn zu töten. (5Mo 21,18; Spr 13,24) 19 Wer jähzornig ist, muss bestraft werden, denn wenn du ihn schonst, machst du es noch schlimmer. (Spr 6,19) 20 Höre auf den Rat und nimm die Unterweisung an, damit du weise wirst für die Zukunft. (Spr 1,2) 21 Im Herzen eines Mannes sind viele Pläne, aber der Ratschluss des HERRN wird Wirklichkeit. (Ps 16,9; Ps 33,10; Spr 21,30) 22 Die Güte eines Menschen macht ihn begehrenswert, und ein Armer ist besser als ein Lügner. 23 Die Furcht des HERRN führt zum Leben: satt geht man schlafen, erfährt nichts Böses. (Spr 3,24; Spr 11,19) 24 Hat ein Fauler mit seiner Hand in die Schüssel gegriffen, so bringt er sie nicht einmal zum Mund zurück. (Spr 6,6; Spr 26,15) 25 Schlägst du einen Spötter, wird ein Einfältiger klug, und weist man einen Verständigen zurecht, gewinnt er Erkenntnis. 27 Hör auf, mein Sohn, dir Unterweisung anzuhören und dann doch abzuirren von den Worten der Erkenntnis. 28 Ein nichtsnutziger Zeuge verspottet das Recht, und der Mund der Frevler verbreitet Unheil^[2]. 1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. 2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. 3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. 4 Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour. 5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. 6 Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts. 7 All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him . 8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. 9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. 10 Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes. 11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression. 12 The king' wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass. 13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping. 14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD. 15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger. 16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die. 17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. 18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. 19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again. 20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21 There are many devices in a man' heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. 22 The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. 23 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. 24 A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. 25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. 26 He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. 27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. 28 An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. 29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.
