1Komm hoch, Jerusalem, komm hoch! Zieh dir deine besten Klamot- ten an, du bist eine ganz besondere Stadt, du bist heilig! Ab sofort soll keiner mehr in dir leben, der vor Gott nicht okay und unrein ist.2Geh duschen, wasch den ganzen Dreck von dir ab. Steh auf und setz dich wieder hin. Befreie dich von den Handschellen, du bist keine Gefangene mehr!3Gott sagt zu dir: „Du wurdest verkauft, ohne Geld dafür zu bekommen. Und jetzt sollst du auch freikommen, ohne dass man was dafür bezahlen muss.4Am Anfang mussten meine Leute in Ägypten als Gastarbeiter leben. Später, als sie wieder in ihrem eigenen Land waren, kamen die Assyrer und haben sie fertiggemacht.5Aber was ist denn hier jetzt passiert? Man hat sie abgeführt wie Schwerverbrecher! Die Männer, die sie besiegt haben, machen einen auf dicke Hose, sie verarschen mich, sie lachen mich aus, den ganzen Tag lästern sie über mich.6Darum werden meine Leute noch mal sehen, was ich draufhabe. An einem ganz bestimmten Tag werden es alle merken, wenn ich sage: ‚Hallo, hier bin ich!‘“
Gott kommt mit seinen Leuten wieder zurück
7Wie gut kommt es, wenn man schon von Weitem den Briefträger sieht, der gute Nachrichten bringt. Der Typ kommt und sagt zu Zion: „Dein Gott ist der Chef, er ist der Chef über die ganze Welt!“8Hört her! Die Securityleute, die auf die Stadt aufpassen, fangen vor Freude an, voll laut zu schreien. Denn sie können mit ihren eigenen Augen sehen, wie Gott auf den Berg Zion zurückkommt.9Fangt an zu brüllen, freut euch! Die kaputte Stadt Jerusalem soll abgehen vor Freude, denn Gott hat seine Leute lieb, er tröstet sie, und er befreit Jerusalem.10Er zeigt, was er draufhat, er lässt seine Muskeln spielen vor den Augen aller Menschen. Jeder bekommt mit, wie unser Gott uns rettet.11Haut ab, haut ab! Verschwindet von da und rührt nichts von den Sachen an, die für Gott nicht okay sind. Haut ab, lasst das Ganze radikal hinter euch. Macht euch sauber von allem, besonders die Leute, die die Geräte aus dem Tempel tragen.12Denn diesmal müsst ihr nicht panisch eure Sachen packen und fliehen, weil Gott höchstpersönlich vor euch hergeht. Er wird auch hinter euch hergehen und euch beschützen.
Der Mitarbeiter von Gott
13Gott sagt: „Pass auf, mein Mitarbeiter wird cool drauf sein, er wird immer mit Köpfchen handeln. Er wird ganz oben sein, alle werden Respekt vor ihm haben, er steht über allem.14Viele fanden ihn total schrecklich, weil er so gruselig aussah. Er sah so gruselig aus wie ein Zombie, er war so potthässlich, dass man ihn eigentlich als Mensch gar nicht mehr erkennen konnte.15Außerdem werden viele Völker über ihn sehr erstaunt sein, viele Präsidenten kriegen den Mund nicht mehr zu, wenn sie ihn erleben. Denn sie werden von ihm Sachen hören, die man vorher noch nie ausgesprochen hat, sie werden Dinge sehen, die man vorher noch nie gesehen hat.“
