1 Moab geht es an den Kragen „Bringt ein paar Schafe aus Sela zum Präsidenten des Landes an den Berg Zion, denn er hat das Sagen.“ 2 Folgendes passiert gerade: Die Leute von Moab sind wie aufgescheuchte Hühner und rennen an den Grenzen vom Arnonfluss hin und her. 3 „Hilf uns, eine Entscheidung zu treffen! Beschütze die Menschen, die vertrieben wurden. Sie sollen sich in deinen Schatten stellen, sich bei dir verstecken. 4 Lass die Flüchtlinge aus Moab bei dir Asyl beantragen. Verstecke sie vor den Männern, die sie kaputt machen wollen.“ Aber wenn der, der sie unterdrückt und das Land zerstört, nicht mehr da ist, 5 dann wird eine Regierung installiert, genau da, wo David das Sagen hatte. An deren Spitze wird einer sein, der absolut fähig ist, gerecht zu entscheiden, der voll die Ahnung von Gerechtigkeit hat und der für immer an der Macht sein wird. 6 „Wir haben gehört, dass die Leute von Moab alle total arrogant sind. Sie denken, sie wären die Geilsten, geben die ganze Zeit an wie blöd und labern dabei nur Dünnsinn. 7 Darum werden sie bald über ihre Situation weinen. Sie werden sich nach ihrem leckeren Rosinenkuchen sehnen, den sie in Kir-Hareset immer bekommen haben. Völlig fertig werden sie rumheulen und depressiv sein. 8 Die Terrassen von Hebschon sind alle vertrocknet. Die Weinstöcke von Sibma, mit dessen Wein sich die Chefs der Völker alle totgesoffen haben, sind vergammelt. Ihre Zweige wuchsen bis nach Jaser, bis in die Wüste, bis zum Toten Meer rankten sie. 9 Ich trauer über diesen Verlust genauso wie die Bewohner von Jaser. Ich weine auch über Heschbon und Elale, denn mitten in der Obst- und Weinernte sind die Feinde in euer Land eingefallen. 10 In den Obstplantagen wird keine Party mehr gefeiert. Und aus den Weinbergen kann man auch keine Lieder mehr hören, da freut sich keiner mehr. In den Hallen wird kein Wein mehr gekeltert, dort werden auch keine fröhlichen Lieder mehr gesungen. 11 Darum bin ich voll fertig wegen Moab, und ich weine wegen Kir-Heres. 12 Obwohl man in Moab ohne Ende Opfer am Tempel abfackelt und dort wie blöd betet, es wird nichts bewirken.“ 13 Das waren jetzt alles Sachen, die Gott Jesaja schon vor einiger Zeit über Moab erzählt hatte. 14 Jetzt sagt Gott aber noch konkreter, dass es genau in drei Jahren so weit sein wird. Genau dann wird man über Moab ablachen. Es wird nur noch einen winzigen Rest von denen geben, den kann man ebenso gut vergessen.

1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. 2 For it shall be, that , as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. 3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth. 4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. 5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness. 6 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so. 7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken. 8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea. 9 Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen. 10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease. 11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh. 12 And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail. 13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time. 14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah; the lords of the nations have struck down its branches, which reached to Jazer and strayed to the desert; its shoots spread abroad and passed over the sea. (Jer 48,32) 9 Therefore I weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah; I drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh; for over your summer fruit and your harvest the shout has ceased. (Am 2,1) 14 But now the LORD has spoken, saying, “In three years, like the years of a hired worker, the glory of Moab will be brought into contempt, in spite of all his great multitude, and those who remain will be very few and feeble.” (Jes 10,22; Jes 21,16)
