Altında kurtlar kaynaşacak, Üstünü kurtçuklar kaplayacak.12Ey parlak yıldız[2], seherin oğlu, Göklerden nasıl da düştün! Ey ulusları ezip geçen, Nasıl da yere yıkıldın!13İçinden, ‹‹Göklere çıkacağım›› dedin, ‹‹Tahtımı Tanrı'nın yıldızlarından daha yükseğe koyacağım; İlahların toplandığı dağda, Safon'un doruğunda oturacağım.14Bulutların üstüne çıkacak, Kendimi Yüceler Yücesi'yle eşit kılacağım.››15Ancak ölüler diyarına, Ölüm çukurunun dibine İndirilmiş bulunuyorsun.16-17Seni görenler bakıp bakıp şöyle düşünecekler: ‹‹Dünyayı sarsan, ülkeleri titreten, Yeryüzünü çöle çeviren, Kentleri yerle bir eden, Tutsakları evlerine salıvermeyen adam bu mu?››18Ulusların bütün kralları tek tek, Görkemli mezarlarda yatıyor.19Ama sen reddedilen bir dal gibi Mezarından dışarı atıldın; Bedenleri kılıçla delinip Ölüm çukurunun dibine atılmış ölülerle örtülüsün; Ayak altında çiğnenen leş gibisin.20Ülkeni harap edip halkını katlettiğin için Başkaları gibi gömülmeyeceksin. Kötülük yapan soy bir daha anılmayacak.21Atalarının suçundan ötürü Babil Kralı'nın oğullarını boğazlamak için yer hazırlayın. Kalkıp dünyayı sahiplenmesinler, Yeryüzünü kentlerle doldurmasınlar.22‹‹Babil halkına karşı harekete geçeceğim›› Diyor Her Şeye Egemen RAB, ‹‹Babil'in adını, sağ kalanlarını, Oğullarını, torunlarını dünyadan sileceğim.›› Böyle diyor RAB.23‹‹Babil'i baykuş yuvasına, bataklığa çevirecek, Yıkım süpürgesiyle süpüreceğim›› Diyor Her Şeye Egemen RAB.
Rab Asurlular'ı Cezalandıracak
24Her Şeye Egemen RAB ant içerek şöyle dedi: ‹‹Düşündüğüm gibi olacak, Tasarladığım gibi gerçekleşecek.25Asurlular'ı kendi ülkemde ezecek, Dağlarımda çiğneyeceğim. Halkım Asur'un boyunduruğundan, Omuzlarındaki yükten kurtulacak.26İşte bütün dünya için belirlenen tasarı budur. Bütün uluslara karşı elim kalkmış durumda.27Her Şeye Egemen RAB'bin tasarısını kim boşa çıkarabilir? Kalkmış durumdaki elini kim indirebilir?››
Tanrı Filistliler'i Cezalandıracak
28Kral Ahaz'ın öldüğü yıl gelen bildiri:29Ey Filistliler, sizi döven değnek kırıldı diye sevinmeyin. Çünkü yılanın kökünden engerek türeyecek, Onun ürünü uçan yılan olacak.30Yoksulların en yoksulu doyacak, Düşkünler güvenlikte yatacak. Ama sizin kökünüzü kıtlıkla kurutacağım, Sağ kalanlarınız da ölecek.31Ulumaya başla ey kapı! Ey kent, feryat et! Ey Filistliler, eridiniz baştan başa. Kuzeyden toz duman yükseliyor, Düşman askerleri sıra sıra geliyor.32O ulusun elçilerine ne yanıt verilecek? ‹‹RAB Siyon'un temelini attı, Halkının düşkünleri oraya sığınacak›› denecek.
1For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will again choose Israel, and will set them in their own land, and sojourners will join them and will attach themselves to the house of Jacob. Israel’s Remnant Taunts Babylon
3When the Lord has given you rest from your pain and turmoil and the hard service with which you were made to serve,4you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: “How the oppressor has ceased, the insolent fury[2] ceased! (Yer 51:13; Mik 2:4; Hab 2:6; Va 18:16)5The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of rulers, (Yşa 9:4)6that struck the peoples in wrath with unceasing blows, that ruled the nations in anger with unrelenting persecution. (Yer 50:23)7The whole earth is at rest and quiet; they break forth into singing. (Yşa 44:23; Yşa 49:13; Yşa 54:1; Yşa 55:12)8The cypresses rejoice at you, the cedars of Lebanon, saying, ‘Since you were laid low, no woodcutter comes up against us.’ (Yşa 2:13; Yşa 37:24; Hez 31:16)9Sheol beneath is stirred up to meet you when you come; it rouses the shades to greet you, all who were leaders of the earth; it raises from their thrones all who were kings of the nations.10All of them will answer and say to you: ‘You too have become as weak as we! An Oracle Concerning Assyria
24The Lord of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand, (Özd 19:21)25that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and on my mountains trample him underfoot; and his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden from their shoulder.” (Yşa 9:4; Yşa 10:27; Yşa 37:36)26This is the purpose that is purposed concerning the whole earth, and this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations. (Yas 4:34)27For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back? An Oracle Concerning Philistia
28In the year that King Ahaz died came this oracle: (2 Kr 16:20; Yşa 13:1)29Rejoice not, O Philistia, all of you, that the rod that struck you is broken, for from the serpent’s root will come forth an adder, and its fruit will be a flying fiery serpent.
