1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! (Mez 135:1) 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Mez 63:4; Mez 104:33; Mez 145:2) 3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. (Mez 60:11; Mez 108:12; Mez 118:8; Mez 118:9; Yşa 2:22; Yer 17:5) 4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. (Eyü 10:9; Eyü 34:14; Mez 104:29; Vai 12:7) 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, (Mez 2:12; Mez 119:116; Mez 144:15) 6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; (Mez 100:5; Mez 115:15; Mez 117:2) 7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.
