(Ps 9,13; Ps 10,12; Spr 23,18)20Steh auf, o HERR, damit der Mensch nicht die Oberhand gewinnt, dass die Heidenvölker gerichtet werden vor deinem Angesicht! (Ps 26,7; Ps 86,12)3Ich will mich über dich freuen und deinen Namen loben, du Höchster. (Ps 66,2; Ps 92,2; Ps 104,34)4Meine Feinde fliehen, sie stürzen und kommen um vor dir. (Ps 27,2; Ps 56,10)5Denn dein Urteil fiel zu meinen Gunsten aus, von deinem Thron aus richtest du gerecht. (Ps 47,9; Ps 140,13; 1Petr 2,23)6Du hast den Völkern gedroht und die Bösen vernichtet, du hast ihre Namen für immer ausgelöscht. (Ps 69,29; Ps 119,21)7Meine Feinde sind am Ende, ihre Städte liegen für immer in Trümmern. Keiner erinnert sich mehr an ihre zerstörten Städte. (Ps 34,17; Ps 40,16)8Der HERR aber herrscht in Ewigkeit, von seinem Thron aus hält er Gericht. (Ps 10,16; Ps 89,15)9Er wird die Welt gerecht richten und in Gerechtigkeit über die Völker herrschen. (Ps 96,13)10Die Unterdrückten finden beim HERRN Zuflucht. In schweren Zeiten beschützt er sie. (Ps 18,3; Ps 37,39; Ps 59,10)11Die deinen Namen kennen, vertrauen auf dich, denn du, HERR, verlässt keinen, der dich sucht. (Ps 37,28; Ps 91,14; Ps 94,14)12Lobt den HERRN, der in Jerusalem[1] wohnt. Erzählt der Welt von seinen Taten. (Ps 76,3; Ps 105,1)13Denn er, der jeden Mord rächt, steht den Hilflosen bei und vergisst ihren Hilferuf nicht. (1Mo 9,5; Ps 72,14)14HERR, hab Erbarmen mit mir. Sieh, wie ich durch die leide, die mich hassen. Entreiße mich aus der Gewalt des Todes, (Ps 30,4; Ps 38,20; Ps 86,13)15damit ich dich vor den Toren Jerusalems loben und mich über meine Rettung freuen kann. (Ps 13,6; Ps 20,6; Ps 35,9; Ps 51,14; Ps 106,2)16Die Völker sind in die Gruben gefallen, die sie anderen gegraben haben. Ihre eigenen Fallen wurden ihnen zum Verhängnis. (Ps 7,16; Ps 35,8)17Der HERR ist bekannt für seine Gerechtigkeit. Die Bösen haben sich in ihren eigenen Fallen verfangen.18Die Gottlosen müssen hinab zu den Toten[2]. Das ist das Schicksal aller Völker, die Gott nicht achten! (Ps 49,15; Ps 50,22)19Denn die Armen werden nicht für immer vergessen, die Hoffnungen der Notleidenden werden nicht auf ewig verloren sein! (Ps 9,13; Ps 62,6; Ps 71,5)20Erhebe dich, HERR! Lass nicht zu, dass die Menschen zu mächtig werden! Die Völker sollen vor dir gerichtet werden! (4Mo 10,35; 2Chr 14,10)21Lass sie zittern vor Furcht, HERR, damit die Völker erkennen, dass sie Menschen sind. (Ps 62,10)

(5Mo 9,14; 5Mo 29,20; Ps 68,30; Spr 10,7)6The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.7But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice,8and he judges the world with righteousness; he judges the peoples with uprightness. (Ps 58,11; Ps 96,10; Ps 96,13; Ps 98,9)9The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. (Ps 91,14)11Sing praises to the Lord, who sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his deeds! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before you! (Ps 3,7; Ps 10,18)20Put them in fear, O Lord! Let the nations know that they are but men! (Ps 9,19)

1LORD, I will give thanks to you with all my heart. I will tell about all the wonderful things you have done.2I will be glad and full of joy because of you. Most High God, I will sing the praises of your name.3My enemies turn back. They fall down and die right in front of you.4You have proved that I haven’t done anything wrong. You have sat on your throne and judged fairly.5You have punished the nations. You have destroyed evil people. You have erased their names from your book for ever and ever.6My enemies have been destroyed for ever. You have levelled their cities to the ground. Even the memory of them is gone.7The LORD rules for ever. He has set up his throne so that he can judge people.8He rules the world in keeping with what is right. He judges all its people fairly.9The LORD is a place of safety for those who have been treated badly. He keeps them safe in times of trouble.10LORD, those who know you will trust in you. You have never deserted those who look to you.11Sing the praises of the LORD. He rules from his throne in Zion. Tell among the nations what he has done.12The God who pays back murderers remembers. He doesn’t forget the cries of those who are hurting.13LORD, see how badly my enemies treat me! Help me! Don’t let me go down to the gates of death!14Then I can give praise to you at the gates of the city of Zion. There I will be full of joy because you have saved me.15The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug. Their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.16The LORD is known to be fair by the things he does. Evil people are trapped by what they have done.17Sinful people go down to the place of the dead. So do all the nations that forget God.18But God will never forget needy people. The hope of those who are hurting will never die.19LORD, rise up. Don’t let people win the battle. Let the nations come to you and be judged.20LORD, strike them with terror. Let the nations know they are only human beings.
