Wer da Arbeit verrichtet, der soll sterben. (2Mo 28,1)20Da ging die ganze Gemeinde der Kinder Israels von Mose hinweg.21Und sie kamen — jeder, den sein Herz dazu trieb, und jeder, dessen Geist willig war; sie brachten dem HERRN eine freiwillige Gabe für das Werk der Stiftshütte und seinen ganzen Dienst und für die heiligen Kleider. (1Chr 29,3; Esr 2,68; Neh 7,70; 2Kor 9,7)22Es kamen aber die Männer samt den Frauen, alle, die willigen Herzens waren, und sie brachten Nasenringe, Ohrringe und Fingerringe und Halsketten und allerlei goldene Geräte; alle, die dem HERRN Gold als freiwillige Gabe brachten. (4Mo 31,50; Mt 2,11)23Und wer bei sich blauen und roten Purpur fand und Karmesin und Leinen und Ziegenhaar und rötliche Widderfelle und Seekuhfelle, der brachte es.24Und wer Silber und Erz als freiwillige Gabe darbringen wollte, der brachte es als freiwillige Gabe für den HERRN. Und wer Akazienholz bei sich fand, der brachte es für jegliche Arbeit des Dienstes. (2Mo 35,21; 2Kor 8,12)25Und alle Frauen, die ein weises Herz hatten, spannen mit ihren Händen und brachten das Gesponnene, [Garne] von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesin und von feinem Leinen. (Spr 14,1; Spr 31,10; Lk 8,2; Apg 9,39; Röm 16,1)26Und die Frauen, die ihr Herz dazu trieb und die verständigen Sinnes waren, die spannen das Ziegenhaar. (2Mo 35,21; 2Mo 36,8)27Die Fürsten aber brachten Onyxsteine und Steine zum Besatz für das Ephod und für das Brustschild, (2Mo 35,21)28und Spezerei und Öl für den Leuchter und für das Salböl und für das wohlriechende Räucherwerk. (2Mo 30,23; 2Mo 35,8)29So brachten die Kinder Israels dem HERRN eine freiwillige Gabe — alle Männer und Frauen, die willigen Herzens waren, zu all dem Werk beizutragen, das der HERR durch Mose auszuführen befohlen hatte. (2Mo 35,5; 2Mo 35,21)
Die von Gottes Geist begabten Werkleute
30Da sprach Mose zu den Kindern Israels: Seht, der HERR hat Bezaleel mit Namen berufen, den Sohn Uris, des Sohnes Hurs, vom Stamm Juda, (2Mo 31,1; 2Mo 36,1)31und hat ihn mit dem Geist Gottes erfüllt, mit Weisheit und Verstand und Erkenntnis und mit Geschicklichkeit für jede Arbeit, (1Kor 12,4; Eph 4,7)32um Kunstwerke zu ersinnen und sie auszuführen in Gold und in Silber und in Erz, (2Mo 37,1; 2Mo 37,7; 2Mo 37,17)33und um Steine zum Besatz zu bearbeiten, und um Holz zu schnitzen, sodass er Kunstwerke aller Art ausführen kann. (2Mo 38,23)34Auch hat er ihm ins Herz gegeben, dass er [andere] unterweisen kann; ihm und Oholiab, dem Sohn Ahisamachs, vom Stamm Dan. (Jak 1,16)35Er hat sie mit Weisheit des Herzens erfüllt, damit sie jegliches Werk eines Künstlers machen können, und eines Kunstwebers und Buntwirkers in [Garnen von] blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesin und Leinen, und eines Webers, damit sie jegliche Arbeit ausführen und Kunstwerke ersinnen können. (2Mo 31,3; 2Mo 31,6; 2Mo 35,31; 1Kön 3,12; 1Kön 7,13; 2Chr 2,13)
1Nun berief Mose eine Versammlung aller Israeliten ein und teilte ihnen mit: »Der HERR befiehlt euch Folgendes:2Arbeitet nur sechs Tage pro Woche. Der siebte Tag soll ein Tag völliger Ruhe sein, ein heiliger Tag, der dem HERRN gehört. Jeder, der an diesem Tag arbeitet, muss mit dem Tod bestraft werden. (2Mo 20,9; 2Mo 23,12; 2Mo 31,15; 2Mo 34,21; 4Mo 15,32; 5Mo 5,13)3An diesem Tag dürft ihr in euren Häusern nicht einmal Feuer anzünden.« (2Mo 16,23)
Gaben für das Zelt Gottes
4Dann sagte Mose zur ganzen Gemeinschaft der Israeliten: »Das hat der HERR befohlen: (2Mo 25,1)5Jeder, der es freiwillig tut, soll dem HERRN folgende Abgaben entrichten: Gold, Silber und Bronze,6violettes, purpur- und karmesinfarbenes Garn, feines Leinen; Ziegenhaar,7rot gefärbte Widderfelle und Tachasch-Haut[1], Akazienholz,8Öl für den Leuchter; Gewürze für das Salböl und das Weihrauchgemisch,9Onyx-Steine und andere Edelsteine für den Priesterschurz und die Brusttasche.10Alle, die dazu begabt sind, sollen mithelfen alles anzufertigen, was der HERR befohlen hat: (2Mo 39,1)11das Heiligtum mit seinen Decken, die Haken, Bretter, Riegel, Säulen und Sockel,12die Bundeslade mit ihren Tragstangen, die Deckplatte, den Vorhang vor dem Allerheiligsten;13den Tisch mit seinen Tragstangen, seinen Geräten und den Schaubroten[2],14den Leuchter mit seinen Geräten und Lampen sowie das Öl für den Leuchter,15den Räucheraltar und seine Tragstangen, das Salböl und das wohlriechende Weihrauchgemisch, den Vorhang für den Eingang des Zeltes Gottes,16den Brandopferaltar mit dem dazugehörigen bronzenen Gitter, seine Tragstangen und Geräte, das Reinigungsbecken mit seinem Untergestell,17die Decken für die Wände des Vorhofs und die Säulen und Sockel, den Vorhang für den Eingang zum Vorhof,18die Zeltpflöcke des Heiligtums und des Vorhofs sowie die dazugehörigen Seile,19die heiligen Gewänder für den Dienst des Hohen Priesters Aaron im Heiligtum und die Gewänder seiner Söhne für ihren Priesterdienst.«20Da löste sich die Versammlung der Israeliten auf und die Leute gingen von Mose weg zu ihren Zelten.21Und alle, die freiwillig etwas geben wollten, kamen wieder und brachten dem HERRN eine Gabe für das Zelt Gottes, für den Priesterdienst und für die heiligen Gewänder. (2Mo 25,2; 2Mo 35,5)22Sowohl Männer als auch Frauen kamen, alle, die aus freien Stücken etwas gaben: Sie brachten dem HERRN Spangen, Ohrringe, Fingerringe und Halsketten; goldene Gegenstände aller Art brachten sie als Weihegaben zum HERRN.23Und jeder, der violettes, purpur- und karmesinfarbenes Garn, feines Leinen, Ziegenhaar, rot gefärbte Widderfelle oder Tachasch-Haut[3] besaß, brachte es her. (2Mo 39,1)24Jeder, der Silber oder Bronze oder Akazienholz besaß, gab es her.25Alle Frauen, die gute Spinnerinnen waren, spannen violettes, purpur- und karmesinfarbenes Garn und feines Leinen und brachten es herbei. (2Mo 28,3)26Alle Frauen, die dazu begabt waren, spannen das Ziegenhaar.27Die Stammesfürsten spendeten Onyx-Steine und andere Edelsteine für den Priesterschurz und die Brusttasche. (1Chr 29,6; Esr 2,68)28Sie spendeten auch Gewürze und Öl für die Lampen, für das Salböl und für das wohlriechende Weihrauchgemisch.29So brachten die Israeliten – all diejenigen Männer und Frauen, die gerne einen Beitrag zum Zelt Gottes leisten wollten – dem HERRN freiwillige Gaben. Denn der HERR hatte sie durch Mose dazu aufgefordert. (1Chr 29,9)30Und Mose sagte zu den Israeliten: »Der HERR hat Bezalel, den Sohn Uris und Enkel Hurs, vom Stamm Juda auserwählt. (2Mo 31,1)31Er hat ihn mit dem Geist Gottes erfüllt und ihm große Weisheit, Verstand und Können für alle anstehenden Arbeiten gegeben:32Bezalel kann Kunstwerke entwerfen und Gegenstände aus Gold, Silber und Bronze schaffen.33Er kann Edelsteine schleifen und einfassen und Holz verarbeiten.34Und der HERR hat ihn und Oholiab, den Sohn des Ahisamach aus dem Stamm Dan, befähigt, andere anzuleiten. (2Mo 31,6)35Der HERR hat sie in besonderer Weise zu allen möglichen handwerklichen Arbeiten befähigt und auch zu Webe- und Stickereiarbeiten mit violettem, purpur- und karmesinfarbenem Garn und feinem Leinen. Sie können sie entwerfen und kunstvoll ausführen. (2Mo 31,3; 2Mo 35,31; 1Kön 7,14)
1Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. (2Mo 34,32)2Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. (2Mo 20,9; 2Mo 31,15)3You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.” (2Mo 16,23)
Contributions for the Tabernacle
4Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded.5Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; (2Mo 25,2)6blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats’ hair,7tanned rams’ skins, and goatskins;[1] acacia wood,8oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense,9and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.10“Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded: (2Mo 28,3; 2Mo 31,6; 2Mo 35,25; 2Mo 36,1)11the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; (2Mo 26,1)12the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the veil of the screen; (2Mo 25,10; 2Mo 26,31; 2Mo 26,33; 2Mo 39,34; 2Mo 40,3; 2Mo 40,21; 4Mo 4,5)13the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; (2Mo 25,23; 2Mo 25,30)14the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; (2Mo 25,31; 2Mo 27,20)15and the altar of incense, with its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; (2Mo 26,36; 2Mo 30,1; 2Mo 30,23; 2Mo 30,34)16the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; (2Mo 27,1; 2Mo 30,18)17the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; (2Mo 27,9)18the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords; (2Mo 27,19; 2Mo 39,40)19the finely worked garments for ministering[2] in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.” (2Mo 31,10)20Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.21And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the Lord’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. (2Mo 25,2; 2Mo 36,3)22So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the Lord.23And every one who possessed blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats’ hair or tanned rams’ skins or goatskins brought them. (2Mo 25,4; 2Mo 35,6; 1Chr 29,8)24Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord’s contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. (2Mo 36,3; 2Mo 36,6)25And every skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. (2Mo 35,10)26All the women whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats’ hair. (2Mo 35,21)27And the leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, (1Chr 29,6; Esr 2,68)28and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.29All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord. (2Mo 36,3)
Construction of the Tabernacle
30Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; (2Mo 31,1)31and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, (1Kön 7,14; 2Chr 2,14)32to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze,33in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft.34And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan.35He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. (2Mo 35,31)
1Moses gathered the whole community of Israel together. He said to them, ‘Here are the things the LORD has commanded you to do.2You must do your work in six days. But the seventh day will be your holy day. It will be a day of sabbath rest to honour the LORD. You must rest on it. Anyone who does any work on it must be put to death.3Do not even light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.’
Supplies for the holy tent
4Moses spoke to the whole community of Israel. He said, ‘Here is what the LORD has commanded.5Take an offering for the LORD from what you have. Those who want to can bring an offering to the LORD. Here is what they can bring. ‘gold, silver and bronze6blue, purple and bright red yarn and fine linen goat hair7ram skins that are dyed red another kind of strong leather acacia wood8olive oil for the lights spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet-smelling incense9onyx stones and other jewels for the linen apron and the chest cloth10‘All the skilled workers among you must come. They must make everything the LORD has commanded11for the holy tent and its covering. Here is what they must make. ‘hooks, frames, crossbars, posts and bases12the ark of the covenant law, the poles and cover for the ark, and the curtain that hides the ark13the table for the holy bread, the poles and all the things for the table, and the holy bread14the lampstand for light and everything used with it, the lamps, and the olive oil that gives light15the altar for burning incense, the poles for the altar, the anointing oil and the sweet-smelling incense the curtain for the entrance to the holy tent16the altar for burnt offerings with its bronze grate, its poles and all its tools the large bronze bowl with its stand17the curtains of the courtyard with their posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard18the ropes and tent stakes for the holy tent and for the courtyard19and the sacred clothes for Aaron the priest and the clothes for his sons when they serve as priests’20Then the whole community of Israel left Moses.21Everyone who wanted to give offerings to the LORD brought them to him. The offerings were for the work on the tent of meeting. They were also for the sacred clothes and for any other purpose at the tent.22Every man and woman who wanted to give came. They brought gold jewellery of all kinds. They brought pins, earrings, rings and other jewellery. All of them gave their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.23People brought what they had. They brought blue, purple or bright red yarn or fine linen. They brought goat hair, ram skins dyed red, or the other kind of strong leather.24Some brought silver or bronze as an offering to the LORD. Others brought acacia wood for any part of the work.25All the skilled women spun yarn with their hands. They brought blue, purple or bright red yarn or fine linen.26All the skilled women who wanted to spin the goat hair did so.27The leaders brought onyx stones and other jewels for the linen apron and the chest cloth.28They also brought spices and olive oil. They brought them for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet-smelling incense.29All the men and women of Israel who wanted to bring offerings to the LORD brought them to him. The offerings were for all the work the LORD had commanded Moses to tell them to do.
Bezalel and Oholiab
30Then Moses spoke to the people of Israel. He said, ‘The LORD has chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri. Uri is the son of Hur. Bezalel is from the tribe of Judah.31The LORD has filled him with the Spirit of God. He has filled him with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skill.32Bezalel can make beautiful patterns in gold, silver and bronze.33He can cut and set stones. He can work with wood. In fact, he can work in all kinds of arts and crafts.34And the LORD has given both him and Oholiab the ability to teach others. Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, is from the tribe of Dan.35The LORD has filled Bezalel and Oholiab with skill to do all kinds of work. They can carve things and make patterns. They can sew skilfully with blue, purple and bright red yarn and on fine linen. They use thread to make beautiful cloth. Both of them have the skill to work in all kinds of crafts.
