4 Wie lange lauft ihr alle Sturm gegen einen Mann und wollt ihn zertrümmern wie eine überhängende Wand, eine rissige Mauer? Stille zu Gott

1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen, für Jedutun. 2 Meine Seele ist stille zu Gott, der mir hilft. (Jes 30,15) 3 Denn er ist mein Fels, meine Hilfe, mein Schutz, dass ich gewiss nicht wanken werde. (Ps 18,3) 4 Wie lange stellt ihr alle einem nach, wollt alle ihn morden, als wäre er eine hangende Wand und eine rissige Mauer? 5 Sie denken nur, wie sie ihn von seiner Höhe stürzen, sie haben Gefallen am Lügen; mit dem Munde segnen sie, aber im Herzen fluchen sie. Sela. 6 Aber sei nur stille zu Gott, meine Seele; denn er ist meine Hoffnung. 7 Er ist mein Fels, meine Hilfe und mein Schutz, dass ich nicht wanken werde. 8 Bei Gott ist mein Heil und meine Ehre, / der Fels meiner Stärke, meine Zuversicht ist bei Gott. 9 Hoffet auf ihn allezeit, liebe Leute, / schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus; Gott ist unsre Zuversicht. Sela. 10 Aber Menschen sind ja nichts, große Leute täuschen auch; sie wiegen weniger als nichts, so viel ihrer sind. 11 Verlasst euch nicht auf Gewalt und setzt auf Raub nicht eitle Hoffnung; fällt euch Reichtum zu, so hängt euer Herz nicht daran. (Ps 39,1) 2 Nur bei Gott wird meine Seele still, / denn meine Hilfe kommt von ihm. 3 Nur er ist mein Fels, meine Rettung, meine sichere Burg, / in der mir kaum etwas geschehen kann. 4 Wie lange stürmt ihr auf den Einen ein, / ihr alle, um ihn niederzustrecken wie eine überhängende Wand, / eine Mauer kurz vor dem Zusammenbruch? 5 Sie wollen ihn unbedingt stürzen. / Dabei schrecken sie vor keiner Lüge zurück. / Ihr Mund spricht Segenswünsche aus, / doch im Herzen verfluchen sie ihn. ♪ 6 Nur bei Gott wird meine Seele still, / meine Hoffnung kommt von ihm. 7 Nur er ist mein Fels, meine Rettung, meine sichere Burg, / in der mir nichts geschehen wird. 8 Bei Gott liegt meine Ehre und mein Heil. / Er ist meine Zuflucht, mein Fels und mein Halt. 9 Vertraut auf ihn zu jeder Zeit, ihr Leute aus meinem Volk! / Schüttet euer Herz vor ihm aus, denn unsere Zuflucht ist Gott! ♪ 10 Die Menschen sind nur Nebeldunst, / Männer ein täuschendes Nichts. / Auf der Waage schnellen sie hoch; / allesamt sind sie leichter als Luft. 11 Vertraut nicht auf Erpressung! / Betrügt euch nicht durch Raub! / Und wenn der Wohlstand wächst, / hängt das Herz nicht daran! 12 Einmal hat Gott geredet, / zwei Dinge sind es, die ich hörte: / bei Gott ist die Macht; 13 und bei dir, Herr, die Güte, / denn du gibst jedem das, was er verdient.

1 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Ps 33,20; Ps 37,7) 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Ps 9,9; Ps 10,6; Ps 18,2) 3 How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? (Jes 30,13) 4 They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah (Hi 13,11; Ps 28,3) 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. (Ps 1,1) 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (Ps 2,1) 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. 1 It is surely true that I find my rest in God. He is the God who saves me. 2 It is surely true that he is my rock. He is the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me. I will always be secure. 3 How long will you enemies attack me? Will all of you throw me down? I’m like a leaning wall. I’m like a fence about to fall. 4 Surely my enemies only want to pull me down from my place of honour. They take delight in telling lies. They bless me with what they say. But in their hearts they ask for bad things to happen to me. 5 Yes, I must find my rest in God. He is the God who gives me hope. 6 It is surely true that he is my rock and the God who saves me. He is like a fort to me, so I will always be secure. 7 I depend on God to save me and to honour me. He is my mighty rock and my place of safety. 8 Trust in him at all times, you people. Tell him all your troubles. God is our place of safety. 9 Surely ordinary people are only a breath. Important people are not what they seem to be. If they were weighed on a scale, they wouldn’t amount to anything. Together they are only a breath. 10 Don’t trust in money you have taken from others. Don’t put false hope in things you have stolen. Even if your riches grow, don’t put your trust in them. 11 God, I have heard you say two things. One is that power belongs to you, God. 12 The other is that your love, Lord, never ends. You will reward everyone in keeping with what they have done.
