Einsetzung von Richtern. Bewahrung des Rechts
18Du sollst dir Richter und Vorsteher einsetzen in den Toren aller deiner Städte, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir gibt in allen deinen Stämmen, damit sie das Volk richten mit gerechtem Gericht. (5Mo 1,15; 2Chr 19,5; Ps 82,1; Ps 101,1; Spr 14,34)19Du sollst das Recht nicht beugen. Du sollst auch die Person nicht ansehen und kein Bestechungsgeschenk nehmen, denn das Bestechungsgeschenk verblendet die Augen der Weisen und verdreht die Worte der Gerechten. Verbot des heidnischen Götzendienstes
21Du sollst dir kein Aschera-Standbild von irgendwelchem Holz aufstellen neben dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, den du dir machen wirst, (1Kön 12,28; 1Kön 13,1)22und du sollst dir auch keine Gedenksäule aufrichten, die der HERR, dein Gott, hasst. (2Mo 34,13; 3Mo 26,1; Ps 97,7)

Von den Richtern und Amtleuten
18Richter und Amtleute sollst du dir einsetzen in allen deinen Stadttoren, die dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird, in jedem deiner Stämme, dass sie das Volk richten mit gerechtem Gericht. (4Mo 11,16; 5Mo 1,16)19Du sollst das Recht nicht beugen und sollst auch die Person nicht ansehen und keine Geschenke nehmen. Denn Geschenke machen die Weisen blind und verdrehen die Sache der Gerechten. (1Sam 8,3)20Was recht ist, dem sollst du nachjagen, damit du leben und das Land einnehmen kannst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, geben wird.
Strafe für Götzendienst
21Du sollst dir kein Ascherabild aus Holz errichten bei dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, den du dir machst. (2Mo 4,13; 5Mo 7,5; 2Kön 23,4)22Und du sollst dir kein Steinmal aufrichten; denn das hasst der HERR, dein Gott. (3Mo 26,1; Jer 2,27)

Laubhüttenfest

Verpflichtung zu Wallfahrten
16Dreimal im Jahr sollen alle deine Männer hingehen, um vor dem Angesicht des HERRN, deines Gottes, an der Stätte, die er erwählen wird, zu erscheinen: am Fest der Ungesäuerten Brote, am Wochenfest und am Laubhüttenfest. Man soll nicht mit leeren Händen hingehen, um vor dem Angesicht des HERRN zu erscheinen, (2Mo 23,17; 2Mo 34,18; 5Mo 12,14)17sondern jeder mit seiner Gabe, die dem Segen entspricht, den du vom HERRN, deinem Gott, erhalten hast.
Verhalten der Richter in den Ortschaften
18Richter und Listenführer sollst du in allen Stadtbereichen einsetzen, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir in deinen Stammesgebieten gibt. Sie sollen dem Volk Recht sprechen und gerechte Urteile fällen. (2Mo 23,1; 3Mo 19,15; 5Mo 1,15; Jak 2,9)19Du sollst das Recht nicht beugen. Du sollst kein Ansehen der Person kennen. Du sollst keine Bestechung annehmen; denn Bestechung macht Weise blind und verdreht die Fälle derer, die im Recht sind.20Gerechtigkeit, Gerechtigkeit - ihr sollst du nachjagen, damit du Leben hast und das Land in Besitz nehmen kannst, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir gibt. 13Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing-floor and your winepress.14Be joyful at your festival – you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns.15For seven days celebrate the festival to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.16Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. Judges
18Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly.19Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Worshipping other gods
21Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build to the Lord your God,22and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.

1Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.2Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.3Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.4And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.5Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee:6But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.7And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.8Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein .9Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.10And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God , according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:11And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.12And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.13Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:14And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.15Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.16Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:17Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.18Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.19Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.20That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.21Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.22Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.
