Der Dienst der Leviten beim Aufbruch des Lagers. Die Kahatiter

1 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und zu Aaron und sprach: (4Mo 3,27) 2 Stelle die Gesamtzahl der Söhne Kahats unter den Söhnen Levis fest, nach ihren Sippen, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, 3 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zum fünfzigsten Jahr, alle Diensttauglichen für das Werk an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 8,24; 1Chr 23,3; 1Chr 23,24) 4 Das soll aber der Dienst der Söhne Kahats an der Stiftshütte sein: das Hochheilige. (4Mo 7,9; 4Mo 10,21; 1Chr 9,32; 2Chr 20,19)

5 Wenn das Heer aufbricht, dann sollen Aaron und seine Söhne hineingehen und den verhüllenden Vorhang abnehmen und die Lade des Zeugnisses damit bedecken; (2Mo 25,10; 2Mo 26,31) 6 und sie sollen eine Decke aus Seekuhfellen darauflegen und oben darüber ein Tuch breiten, das ganz aus blauem Purpur besteht, und die Tragstangen einstecken. (2Mo 25,5; 2Mo 26,14) 7 Auch über den Schaubrottisch sollen sie ein Tuch aus blauem Purpur breiten und darauf die Schüsseln, die Kellen, die Opferschalen und die Trankopferkannen stellen; auch soll das beständige Brot darauf liegen. (2Mo 25,23; 3Mo 24,6) 8 Und sie sollen ein Tuch von Karmesin darüberbreiten und es mit einer Decke aus Seekuhfellen bedecken und seine Tragstangen einstecken. 9 Sie sollen auch ein Tuch aus blauem Purpur nehmen und damit den Licht spendenden Leuchter bedecken und seine Lampen, samt seinen Lichtscheren und Löschnäpfen und allen Ölgefäßen, mit denen er bedient wird. (2Mo 25,31) 10 Und sie sollen alle diese Geräte in eine Decke aus Seekuhfellen einhüllen und es auf ein Traggestell legen. 11 Und auch über den goldenen Altar sollen sie ein Tuch aus blauem Purpur breiten und ihn mit einer Decke aus Seekuhfellen bedecken und seine Tragstangen einstecken. (2Mo 30,1) 12 Alle Geräte des Dienstes, mit denen man im Heiligtum dient, sollen sie nehmen und ein Tuch von blauem Purpur darüberlegen und sie mit einer Decke aus Seekuhfellen bedecken und auf ein Traggestell legen. (1Chr 9,28) 13 Sie sollen auch den Altar von der Fettasche reinigen und ein Tuch aus rotem Purpur über ihn breiten. (2Mo 27,1) 14 Alle seine Geräte, mit denen sie auf ihm dienen, sollen sie darauflegen: Kohlenpfannen, Gabeln, Schaufeln und Sprengbecken, samt allen Geräten des Altars, und sie sollen eine Decke aus Seekuhfellen darüberbreiten und seine Tragstangen einstecken. (2Mo 38,3) 15 Wenn nun Aaron und seine Söhne beim Aufbruch des Lagers mit dem Bedecken des Heiligtums und aller seiner Geräte fertig sind, so sollen danach die Söhne Kahats hineingehen, um es zu tragen; sie sollen aber das Heiligtum nicht anrühren, sonst würden sie sterben. Das ist die Arbeit der Söhne Kahats an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 3,38; 4Mo 7,9; 4Mo 10,21; 2Sam 6,6; 1Chr 15,2; 1Chr 15,15; 2Chr 5,7)

16 Eleasar aber, der Sohn Aarons, soll die Aufsicht haben über das Öl für den Leuchter und über das wohlriechende Räucherwerk und über das beständige Speisopfer und das Salböl, die Aufsicht über die ganze Wohnung und alles, was darin ist, über das Heiligtum und seine Geräte. (2Mo 25,6; 2Mo 29,40; 2Mo 30,23; 3Mo 24,2)

17 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und Aaron und sprach: 18 Ihr sollt dafür sorgen, dass der Stamm des Geschlechts der Kahatiter nicht ausgerottet wird unter den Leviten! (4Mo 4,16; 4Mo 4,32; 2Sam 6,6) 19 Darum sollt ihr dies mit ihnen tun, damit sie leben und nicht sterben, wenn sie sich dem Allerheiligsten nahen: Aaron und seine Söhne sollen hineingehen und jedem Einzelnen seine Arbeit und seine Traglast zuweisen. (4Mo 4,4) 20 Jene aber sollen nicht hineingehen, um auch nur einen Augenblick das Heiligtum anzusehen, sonst würden sie sterben! (2Mo 19,21; 1Sam 6,19)

Die Gersoniter

21 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach: 22 Stelle die Gesamtzahl der Söhne Gersons fest, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, nach ihren Sippen; (4Mo 3,18; 4Mo 3,22; 4Mo 3,24) 23 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zum fünfzigsten Jahr sollst du sie zählen, alle Diensttauglichen zur Arbeit an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 4,3) 24 Das soll aber der Dienst der Sippen der Gersoniter sein, worin sie dienen und was sie tragen sollen: 25 Sie sollen die Teppiche der Wohnung tragen und die Stiftshütte, ihre Decke und die Decke aus Seekuhfellen, die oben darüber ist, und den Vorhang am Eingang der Stiftshütte; (4Mo 3,25; 4Mo 7,5) 26 auch die Umhänge des Vorhofs und den Vorhang vom Eingang des Tores zum Vorhof, der rings um die Wohnung und den Altar her ist, auch ihre Seile und ihre Dienstgeräte, samt allem, womit gearbeitet wird; das sollen sie besorgen. (2Mo 27,9; 2Mo 35,18; 4Mo 3,25) 27 Nach dem Befehl Aarons und seiner Söhne soll der ganze Dienst der Söhne der Gersoniter geschehen, bei allem, was sie zu tragen und was sie zu verrichten haben; ihr sollt ihnen alle ihre Aufgaben beim Tragen sorgfältig zuweisen. 28 Das ist der Dienst der Sippen der Söhne der Gersoniter an der Stiftshütte und was sie unter der Aufsicht Itamars, des Sohnes Aarons, des Priesters zu besorgen haben. (4Mo 4,33)

Die Merariter

29 Auch die Söhne Meraris sollst du mustern, nach ihren Vaterhäusern und ihren Sippen; (4Mo 3,33) 30 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zum fünfzigsten Jahr, sollst du sie zählen, alle Diensttauglichen für die Arbeit an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 4,3; 4Mo 4,23) 31 Und dies ist ihre Aufgabe beim Tragen, entsprechend ihrem ganzen Dienst an der Stiftshütte: die Bretter der Wohnung und ihre Riegel und ihre Säulen und ihre Füße, (4Mo 3,36; 4Mo 7,8) 32 dazu die Säulen des Vorhofs ringsum und ihre Füße und ihre Nägel und ihre Seile, samt allen ihren Geräten und aller Arbeit, die an ihnen getan werden muss; ihr sollt ihnen die Geräte, die sie zu tragen haben, mit Namen zuweisen. (4Mo 3,37) 33 Das ist der Dienst der Sippen der Söhne Meraris, entsprechend ihrem ganzen Dienst an der Stiftshütte unter der Aufsicht Itamars, des Sohnes Aarons, des Priesters. (4Mo 4,28; 4Mo 7,8; Jos 3,6)

Die Musterung der dienstfähigen Leviten

34 Und Mose und Aaron samt den Fürsten der Gemeinde musterten die Kahatiter nach ihren Vaterhäusern und ihren Sippen, (4Mo 4,2) 35 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zu 50 Jahren, alle Diensttauglichen für die Arbeit an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 4,3; 4Mo 4,23; 4Mo 4,30; 4Mo 8,24)

36 Und ihre Musterung nach ihren Sippen ergab 2 750. (4Mo 3,27) 37 Das sind die Gemusterten der Sippen der Kahatiter, alle die, welche Dienst tun konnten an der Stiftshütte, die Mose und Aaron musterten nach dem Befehl des HERRN unter der Führung Moses. (4Mo 3,31) 38 Auch die Söhne Gersons wurden gemustert nach ihren Vaterhäusern und ihren Sippen, (4Mo 3,18) 39 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zu 50 Jahren, alle Diensttauglichen für die Arbeit an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 4,35) 40 Und ihre Musterung nach ihren Sippen und ihren Vaterhäusern ergab 2 630. (4Mo 3,32) 41 Das sind die Gemusterten der Sippen der Söhne Gersons, die tauglich waren für den Dienst an der Stiftshütte, die Mose und Aaron musterten nach dem Befehl des HERRN. (4Mo 4,22) 42 Auch die Söhne Meraris wurden gemustert nach ihren Vaterhäusern und ihren Sippen, (4Mo 3,20) 43 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zu 50 Jahren, alle Diensttauglichen für die Arbeit an der Stiftshütte. (4Mo 4,35) 44 Und die Musterung nach ihren Sippen ergab 3 200. (4Mo 3,34) 45 Das sind die Gemusterten der Sippen der Söhne Meraris, die Mose und Aaron einsetzten nach dem Befehl des HERRN durch Mose. (4Mo 4,29) 46 Alle Gemusterten, die eingestellt wurden, als Mose und Aaron samt den Fürsten Israels die Leviten zählten nach ihren Sippen und ihren Vaterhäusern, (4Mo 1,19) 47 von 30 Jahren an und darüber, bis zu 50 Jahren, alle, die antraten zur Verrichtung irgendeines Dienstes oder um eine Last zu tragen an der Stiftshütte; (4Mo 4,35; 1Chr 23,3; 1Chr 23,27) 48 alle Gemusterten zählten 8 580. (4Mo 3,39) 49 Nach dem Befehl des HERRN musterte man sie unter der Leitung Moses, jeden Einzelnen für seinen Dienst und für seine Traglast, und sie wurden von ihm eingesetzt, wie der HERR es Mose geboten hatte. 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers, 3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things: 5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it: 6 And shall put thereon the covering of badgers'skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof. 7 And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon: 8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers'skins, and shall put in the staves thereof. 9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it: 10 And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers'skins, and shall put it upon a bar. 11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers'skins, and shall put to the staves thereof: 12 And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers'skins, and shall put them on a bar: 13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon: 14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers'skins, and put to the staves of it. 15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it : but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation. 16 And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is , in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof. 17 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, 18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites: 19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden: 20 But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die. 21 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 22 Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families; 23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens: 25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers'skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, 26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve. 27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens. 28 This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 29 As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof, 32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden. 33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 34 And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers, 35 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation: 36 And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. 37 These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 38 And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers, 39 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 40 Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty. 41 These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD. 42 And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, 43 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation, 44 Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred. 45 These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses. 46 All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers, 47 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation, 48 Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore. 49 According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
