Jakob empfängt durch Betrug den Erstgeburtssegen

1 Und es geschah, als Isaak alt war und seine Augen dunkel wurden, sodass er nicht mehr sehen konnte, da rief er Esau, seinen älteren Sohn, und sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn! Er aber antwortete ihm: Hier bin ich! (1Mo 48,10; 1Sam 3,2) 

2 Und er sprach: Siehe, ich bin alt und weiß nicht, wann ich sterbe. (Spr 27,1; Lk 12,20; Jak 4,14) 

3 So nimm nun dein Jagdgerät, deinen Köcher und deinen Bogen, und geh aufs Feld und jage mir ein Wildbret, (1Mo 25,27) 

4 und bereite mir ein schmackhaftes Essen, wie ich es gern habe, und bring es mir herein, dass ich esse, damit meine Seele dich segne, bevor ich sterbe! (1Mo 27,25; 1Mo 49,28; 5Mo 33,1) 

5 Rebekka aber hörte zu, als Isaak diese Worte zu seinem Sohn Esau sagte. Und Esau ging aufs Feld, um ein Wildbret zu jagen und es heimzubringen. (1Mo 18,10; 1Mo 25,29) 

6 Da redete Rebekka mit ihrem Sohn Jakob und sprach: Siehe, ich habe gehört, wie dein Vater mit deinem Bruder Esau redete und sagte: 

7 »Bring mir ein Wildbret und bereite mir ein schmackhaftes Gericht, dass ich esse und dich segne vor dem Angesicht des HERRN, ehe ich sterbe!« (1Mo 27,4) 

8 So gehorche nun, mein Sohn, meiner Stimme und tue, was ich dir sage: (1Mo 16,2; Spr 8,34; Apg 5,29) 

9 Geh hin zur Herde und hole mir von dort zwei gute Ziegenböcklein, dass ich deinem Vater ein schmackhaftes Gericht davon bereite, wie er es gern hat. (1Mo 25,28; 1Sam 16,20) 

10 Das sollst du deinem Vater hineintragen, damit er es isst und dich vor seinem Tod segnet! (1Mo 27,4) 

11 Jakob aber sprach zu seiner Mutter Rebekka: Siehe, mein Bruder Esau ist rau, und ich bin glatt. (1Mo 25,25) 

12 Vielleicht könnte mein Vater mich betasten, da würde ich in seinen Augen als ein Betrüger erscheinen; so brächte ich einen Fluch über mich und nicht einen Segen! (1Mo 9,25; 5Mo 27,18) 

13 Da sprach seine Mutter zu ihm: Dein Fluch sei auf mir, mein Sohn! Gehorche du nur meiner Stimme, geh hin und hole es mir! (Mt 27,25) 

14 Da ging er hin und holte es und brachte es seiner Mutter. Und seine Mutter machte ein schmackhaftes Essen, wie es sein Vater gern hatte. (1Mo 25,28) 

15 Rebekka nahm auch die guten Kleider Esaus, ihres älteren Sohnes, die sie bei sich im Haus hatte, und zog sie Jakob, ihrem jüngeren Sohn, an. (1Mo 27,22; Hl 4,11) 

16 Aber die Felle der Ziegenböcklein legte sie ihm um die Hände, und wo er glatt war am Hals; (1Mo 27,22) 

17 und sie gab das schmackhafte Essen und das Brot, das sie bereitet hatte, in die Hand ihres Sohnes Jakob. (1Mo 27,7; 1Mo 27,15) 

18 Und er ging hinein zu seinem Vater und sprach: Mein Vater! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich! Wer bist du, mein Sohn? (1Mo 27,32) 

19 Jakob sprach zu seinem Vater: Ich bin Esau, dein Erstgeborener; ich habe getan, wie du mir gesagt hast. Steh doch auf, setz dich und iss von meinem Wildbret, damit mich deine Seele segne! (1Kön 13,18; 1Kön 14,2; Spr 12,19; Spr 12,22) 

20 Isaak aber sprach zu seinem Sohn: Mein Sohn, wie hast du es so bald gefunden? Er antwortete: Der HERR, dein Gott, ließ es mir begegnen! (2Mo 20,7; Hi 13,7) 

21 Da sprach Isaak zu Jakob: Tritt herzu, mein Sohn, dass ich dich betaste, ob du wirklich mein Sohn Esau bist oder nicht! (1Mo 27,12) 

22 Und Jakob trat zu seinem Vater Isaak. Und als er ihn betastet hatte, sprach er: Die Stimme ist Jakobs Stimme, aber die Hände sind Esaus Hände! (1Mo 27,12) 

23 Aber er erkannte ihn nicht, denn seine Hände waren rau, wie die Hände seines Bruders Esau. Und so segnete er ihn. (1Mo 27,16) 

24 Und er fragte ihn: Bist du wirklich mein Sohn Esau? Er antwortete: Ja, ich bin’s! (Ps 120,2; Spr 30,8) 

25 Da sprach er: So bringe es mir her, damit ich von dem Wildbret meines Sohnes esse, dass dich meine Seele segne! Da brachte er es ihm, und er aß; er reichte ihm auch Wein, und er trank. (1Mo 27,4) 

26 Und Isaak, sein Vater, sprach zu ihm: Komm her, mein Sohn, und küsse mich! (1Mo 27,21) 

27 Und er trat hinzu und küsste ihn. Und als er den Geruch seiner Kleider roch, segnete er ihn und sprach: Siehe, der Geruch meines Sohnes ist wie ein Geruch des Feldes, das der HERR gesegnet hat. (Hl 4,11; Hos 14,6; Hebr 11,20) 

28 Gott gebe dir vom Tau des Himmels und vom fettesten Boden und Korn und Most in Fülle! (5Mo 8,7; 5Mo 11,14; 5Mo 33,13; 5Mo 33,28; Ps 65,10; Ps 133,3) 

29 Völker sollen dir dienen und Geschlechter sich vor dir beugen; sei ein Herr über deine Brüder, und die Söhne deiner Mutter sollen sich vor dir beugen. Verflucht sei, wer dir flucht, und gesegnet sei, wer dich segnet! (1Mo 12,3; 1Mo 22,17; 1Mo 25,23; 1Kön 5,1; Jer 11,3; Sach 2,12; Phil 2,9) 

Esaus Reue über den verlorenen Segen

30 Und es geschah, als Isaak den Segen über Jakob vollendet hatte, und Jakob kaum von seinem Vater Isaak hinausgegangen war, ja, da geschah es, dass sein Bruder Esau von der Jagd kam. (1Mo 27,3) 

31 Der machte auch ein schmackhaftes Essen und trug es zu seinem Vater hinein und sprach zu ihm: Steh auf, mein Vater, und iss von dem Wildbret deines Sohnes, damit mich deine Seele segne! (1Mo 27,4) 

32 Da antwortete ihm sein Vater Isaak: Wer bist du? Er sprach: Ich bin dein Sohn Esau, dein Erstgeborener! (1Mo 27,18; 1Mo 27,19) 

33 Da entsetzte sich Isaak über die Maßen und sprach: Wer ist denn der Jäger, der ein Wildbret gejagt und mir aufgetragen hat? Ich habe von allem gegessen, ehe du kamst, und habe ihn gesegnet; er wird auch gesegnet bleiben! (1Mo 28,3; Hi 21,6; Röm 11,29; Hebr 11,20) 

34 Als Esau diese Worte seines Vaters hörte, schrie er laut auf und wurde über die Maßen betrübt und sprach zu seinem Vater: Segne doch auch mich, mein Vater! (Hebr 12,17) 

35 Er aber sprach: Dein Bruder ist mit List gekommen und hat deinen Segen weggenommen! (Jer 9,4; Jer 12,6) 

36 Da sprach er: Er heißt mit Recht Jakob; denn er hat mich nun zweimal überlistet! Mein Erstgeburtsrecht hat er weggenommen, und siehe, nun nimmt er auch meinen Segen! Und er sprach: Hast du mir keinen Segen zurückbehalten? (1Mo 25,31) 

37 Da antwortete Isaak und sprach zu Esau: Siehe, ich habe ihn zum Herrn über dich gesetzt, und alle seine Brüder habe ich ihm zu Knechten gegeben; mit Korn und Most habe ich ihn versehen. Was kann ich nun für dich tun, mein Sohn? (Röm 9,12) 

38 Esau sprach zu seinem Vater: Hast du denn nur einen Segen, mein Vater? Segne doch auch mich, mein Vater! Und Esau erhob seine Stimme und weinte. (Hebr 12,17) 

39 Da antwortete Isaak, sein Vater, und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, fern vom Fett der Erde wird dein Wohnsitz sein, und fern vom Tau des Himmels von oben. (Jos 11,17; Jos 24,4; Hes 35,1) 

40 Von deinem Schwert wirst du leben und deinem Bruder dienen. Es wird aber geschehen, wenn du dich befreien kannst, wirst du sein Joch von deinem Hals reißen. (1Mo 27,29; 2Chr 21,8; 2Chr 28,17) 

Jakobs Flucht zu Laban

41 Und Esau wurde dem Jakob feind wegen des Segens, womit sein Vater ihn gesegnet hatte; und Esau sprach in seinem Herzen: Die Zeit, da man um meinen Vater trauern wird, ist nicht mehr weit; dann will ich meinen Bruder Jakob umbringen! (1Mo 27,2; 1Mo 27,29; 1Mo 32,6; 1Mo 37,20; 2Mo 20,13; 1Joh 3,15) 

42 Da wurden der Rebekka die Worte Esaus, ihres älteren Sohnes, hinterbracht. Und sie schickte hin und ließ Jakob, ihren jüngeren Sohn, rufen und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, dein Bruder Esau will an dir Rache nehmen und dich töten! (1Mo 27,41; 1Mo 32,11; 1Mo 33,4; Spr 25,11) 

43 Und nun gehorche meiner Stimme, mein Sohn: Mache dich auf und flieh zu meinem Bruder Laban, nach Haran, (1Mo 11,31; 1Mo 24,29; 1Mo 27,8) 

44 und bleib eine Zeit lang bei ihm, bis sich der Grimm deines Bruders gelegt hat (1Mo 31,38; 1Mo 31,41) 

45 und bis sich sein Zorn von dir wendet und er vergisst, was du ihm angetan hast; so will ich dann nach dir schicken und dich von dort holen lassen. Warum sollte ich an einem Tag euch beide verlieren? (Spr 19,21; Eph 4,26) 

46 Und Rebekka sprach zu Isaak: Mir ist das Leben verleidet wegen der Töchter Hets; wenn Jakob eine Frau nimmt von den Töchtern Hets, wie diese da, von den Töchtern des Landes, was soll mir dann das Leben! (1Mo 25,22; 1Mo 26,34)

1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. 

2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: 

3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; 

4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. 

5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it . 

6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying, 

7 Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death. 

8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee. 

9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth: 

10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death. 

11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man: 

12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing. 

13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them . 

14 And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved. 

15 And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son: 

16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck: 

17 And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob. 

18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son? 

19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. 

20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me. 

21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not. 

22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob' voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. 

23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau' hands: so he blessed him. 

24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am . 

25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son' venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank. 

26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. 

27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed: 

28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: 

29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother' sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. 

30 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. 

31 And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son' venison, that thy soul may bless me. 

32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau. 

33 And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed. 

34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father. 

35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. 

36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? 

37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? 

38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. 

39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; 

40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. 

41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob. 

42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee. 

43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; 

44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother' fury turn away; 

45 Until thy brother' anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day? 

46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
