1 Und der HERR redete zu Mose in der Wüste Sinai in der Stiftshütte am ersten Tag des zweiten Monats, im zweiten Jahr nach ihrem Auszug aus dem Land Ägypten, und er sprach: (2Mo 19,1; 2Mo 25,22; 4Mo 10,11; Ps 68,18) 2 Ermittelt die Summe der ganzen Gemeinde der Kinder Israels, nach ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, unter Aufzählung der Namen; alles, was männlich ist, Kopf für Kopf, (2Mo 30,12; 4Mo 26,2; 4Mo 26,63; 2Sam 24,2) 3 von 20 Jahren an und darüber, alle kriegstauglichen Männer in Israel; und zählt sie nach ihren Heerscharen, du und Aaron. (4Mo 26,3) 4 Und je ein Mann von jedem Stamm soll euch beistehen, ein Mann, der das Oberhaupt seines Vaterhauses ist. (4Mo 1,16; 4Mo 7,2; Jos 22,14; 1Chr 27,1; 1Chr 27,16) 5 Das sind aber die Namen der Männer, die euch zur Seite stehen sollen: von Ruben Elizur, der Sohn Schedeurs; (4Mo 2,10; 4Mo 7,30; 4Mo 10,18) 6 von Simeon Schelumiel, der Sohn Zuri-Schaddais; (4Mo 2,12; 4Mo 7,36; 4Mo 10,19) 7 von Juda Nachschon, der Sohn Amminadabs; (4Mo 2,3; 4Mo 7,12; 4Mo 10,14; Rut 4,20; Mt 1,4) 8 von Issaschar Nethaneel, der Sohn Zuars; (4Mo 2,5; 4Mo 7,18; 4Mo 10,15) 9 von Sebulon Eliab, der Sohn Helons; (4Mo 2,7; 4Mo 7,24; 4Mo 10,16) 10 von den Söhnen Josephs: von Ephraim Elischama, der Sohn Ammihuds; von Manasse Gamliel, der Sohn Pedazurs; (4Mo 2,18; 4Mo 2,20; 4Mo 7,48; 4Mo 7,54; 4Mo 10,22; 4Mo 10,23) 11 von Benjamin Abidan, der Sohn Gideonis; (4Mo 2,22; 4Mo 7,60; 4Mo 10,24) 12 von Dan Achieser, der Sohn Ammi-Schaddais; (4Mo 2,25; 4Mo 7,66; 4Mo 10,25) 13 von Asser Pagiel, der Sohn Ochrans; (4Mo 2,27; 4Mo 7,72; 4Mo 10,26) 14 von Gad Eljasaph, der Sohn Deguels; (4Mo 2,14; 4Mo 7,42; 4Mo 10,20) 15 von Naphtali Achira, der Sohn Enans. (4Mo 2,29; 4Mo 7,78; 4Mo 10,27) 16 Das sind die Berufenen der Gemeinde, die Fürsten der Stämme ihrer Väter; dies sind die Häupter über die Tausende Israels. (2Mo 18,21; 2Mo 18,25; 4Mo 1,4; 5Mo 1,15) 17 Und Mose und Aaron nahmen diese Männer, die mit Namen bezeichnet waren, 18 und sie versammelten die ganze Gemeinde am ersten Tag des zweiten Monats. Und sie ließen sich eintragen in die Geburtsregister, nach ihren Sippen und ihren Vaterhäusern, unter Aufzählung der Namen, von 20 Jahren an und darüber, Kopf für Kopf. (Neh 7,61; Ps 87,6) 19 Wie der HERR es Mose geboten hatte, so musterte er sie in der Wüste Sinai. (4Mo 1,2; 4Mo 26,2) 20 Und die Söhne Rubens, des erstgeborenen Sohnes Israels, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, Haupt für Haupt, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 29,32) 21 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Ruben waren 46 500.[1] (4Mo 2,10; 4Mo 26,7) 22 Die Söhne Simeons, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, Haupt für Haupt, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 29,33; 4Mo 2,12) 23 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Simeon waren 59 300. (4Mo 2,13) 24 Die Söhne Gads, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,10; 4Mo 2,14) 25 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Gad waren 45 650. (4Mo 2,15; 4Mo 26,18) 26 Die Söhne Judas, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 29,35; 4Mo 2,3) 27 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Juda waren 74 600. (4Mo 2,4; 4Mo 26,22) 28 Die Söhne Issaschars, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,18; 4Mo 2,5) 29 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Issaschar waren 54 400. (4Mo 1,6; 4Mo 26,50) 30 Die Söhne Sebulons, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,19; 4Mo 2,7) 31 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Sebulon waren 57 400. (4Mo 2,8) 32 Die Söhne Josephs, nämlich von den Söhnen Ephraims, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 48,20; 4Mo 2,18; 4Mo 26,35) 33 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Ephraim waren 40 500. (4Mo 2,19) 34 Die Söhne Manasses, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 41,51; 4Mo 2,20) 35 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Manasse waren 32 200. (4Mo 2,21) 36 Die Söhne Benjamins, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 35,16; 1Mo 46,21) 37 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Benjamin waren 35 400. (4Mo 2,23) 38 Die Söhne Dans, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,5; 1Mo 46,23) 39 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Dan waren 62 700. (4Mo 2,26) 40 Die Söhne Assers, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,12; 1Mo 46,17) 41 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Asser waren 41 500. (4Mo 2,28) 42 Die Söhne Naphtalis, nach ihrer Abstammung, ihren Geschlechtern und ihren Vaterhäusern, an Zahl der Namen, alle kriegstauglichen Männer von 20 Jahren und darüber, (1Mo 30,7; 1Mo 46,24) 43 die Gemusterten vom Stamm Naphtali waren 53 400. (4Mo 2,30) 44 Das sind die Gemusterten, die Mose und Aaron musterten, samt den zwölf Fürsten Israels, von denen je einer über die Vaterhäuser [seines Stammes] gesetzt war. (4Mo 1,2) 45 Und die Gesamtzahl der Gemusterten der Kinder Israels, nach ihren Vaterhäusern, von 20 Jahren und darüber, was in Israel kriegstauglich war, (4Mo 1,3) 46 ihre Gesamtzahl betrug 603 550. (4Mo 2,32) 47 Aber die Leviten mit ihrem väterlichen Stamm waren in dieser Musterung nicht inbegriffen. (4Mo 1,49; 4Mo 2,33; 4Mo 3,39; 4Mo 26,62) 48 Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach: 49 Nur den Stamm Levi sollst du nicht mustern und seine Zahl nicht unter die Kinder Israels rechnen; (4Mo 1,47) 50 sondern du sollst die Leviten über die Wohnung des Zeugnisses setzen und über alle ihre Geräte und über alles, was dazugehört. Sie sollen die Wohnung tragen samt allen ihren Geräten, und sie sollen sie bedienen und sich um die Wohnung her lagern. (2Mo 38,21; 4Mo 3,6; 1Chr 23,3; Hes 48,13) 51 Und wenn die Wohnung aufbricht, so sollen die Leviten sie abbauen; wenn aber die Wohnung sich lagert, so sollen die Leviten sie aufschlagen. Kommt ihr aber ein Fremder zu nahe, so soll er getötet werden. (4Mo 10,17; 4Mo 10,21; 4Mo 18,22; 1Sam 6,19) 52 Und die Kinder Israels sollen sich nach ihren Heerscharen lagern, jeder in seinem Lager und jeder bei seinem Banner[2]. (4Mo 2,2; 4Mo 24,2) 53 Aber die Leviten sollen sich um die Wohnung des Zeugnisses her lagern, damit nicht ein Zorngericht über die Gemeinde der Kinder Israels kommt; so sollen die Leviten den Dienst an der Wohnung des Zeugnisses versehen. (4Mo 1,50; 4Mo 2,17; 4Mo 3,23; 4Mo 3,29; 4Mo 3,35; 4Mo 8,19; 4Mo 8,24; 4Mo 18,3; 4Mo 18,5; 2Chr 13,10) 54 Und die Kinder Israels machten alles genau so, wie der HERR es Mose geboten hatte; genau so machten sie es. (2Mo 23,22; 2Mo 39,32; 2Mo 39,43; 2Mo 40,16)

1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying, (2Mo 19,1; 2Mo 25,22; 4Mo 10,11) 2 “Take a census of all the congregation of the people of Israel, by clans, by fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, every male, head by head. (2Mo 30,12; 2Mo 38,26; 4Mo 1,18; 4Mo 1,20; 4Mo 1,22; 4Mo 3,47; 4Mo 26,2; 2Sam 24,2; 1Chr 21,2; 1Chr 23,3; 1Chr 23,24) 3 From twenty years old and upward, all in Israel who are able to go to war, you and Aaron shall list them, company by company. (2Mo 12,51; 2Mo 30,14; 4Mo 14,29) 4 And there shall be with you a man from each tribe, each man being the head of the house of his fathers. 5 And these are the names of the men who shall assist you. (2Mo 18,21; 2Mo 18,25; 4Mo 7,2; 4Mo 26,9; 1Chr 27,16) 17 Moses and Aaron took these men who had been named, (1Chr 12,31; 1Chr 16,41; 2Chr 28,15; 2Chr 31,19; Esr 8,20) 18 and on the first day of the second month, they assembled the whole congregation together, who registered themselves by clans, by fathers’ houses, according to the number of names from twenty years old and upward, head by head, 19 as the Lord commanded Moses. So he listed them in the wilderness of Sinai. 20 The people of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war: (4Mo 2,3) 21 those listed of the tribe of Reuben were 46,500. (4Mo 26,7) 22 Of the people of Simeon, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, those of them who were listed, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war: 23 those listed of the tribe of Simeon were 59,300. (4Mo 26,14) 24 Of the people of Gad, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war: 25 those listed of the tribe of Gad were 45,650. (4Mo 26,18) 26 Of the people of Judah, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 27 those listed of the tribe of Judah were 74,600. (4Mo 26,22; 2Sam 24,9) 28 Of the people of Issachar, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 29 those listed of the tribe of Issachar were 54,400. (4Mo 26,25) 30 Of the people of Zebulun, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 31 those listed of the tribe of Zebulun were 57,400. (4Mo 26,27) 32 Of the people of Joseph, namely, of the people of Ephraim, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 33 those listed of the tribe of Ephraim were 40,500. (4Mo 26,37) 34 Of the people of Manasseh, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 35 those listed of the tribe of Manasseh were 32,200. (4Mo 26,34) 36 Of the people of Benjamin, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 37 those listed of the tribe of Benjamin were 35,400. (4Mo 26,41) 38 Of the people of Dan, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 39 those listed of the tribe of Dan were 62,700. (4Mo 26,43) 40 Of the people of Asher, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 41 those listed of the tribe of Asher were 41,500. (4Mo 26,47) 42 Of the people of Naphtali, their generations, by their clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war: 43 those listed of the tribe of Naphtali were 53,400. (4Mo 26,50) 44 These are those who were listed, whom Moses and Aaron listed with the help of the chiefs of Israel, twelve men, each representing his fathers’ house. (4Mo 26,64) 45 So all those listed of the people of Israel, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, every man able to go to war in Israel— 46 all those listed were 603,550. (2Mo 12,37; 2Mo 38,26; 4Mo 11,21; 4Mo 26,51) 47 But the Levites were not listed along with them by their ancestral tribe. (4Mo 2,33; 4Mo 26,57; 4Mo 26,62) 48 For the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 49 “Only the tribe of Levi you shall not list, and you shall not take a census of them among the people of Israel. 50 But appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall take care of it and shall camp around the tabernacle. (2Mo 38,21; 4Mo 3,7; 4Mo 3,23; 4Mo 4,15) 51 When the tabernacle is to set out, the Levites shall take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. And if any outsider comes near, he shall be put to death. (4Mo 3,10; 4Mo 3,38; 4Mo 10,17; 4Mo 10,21; 4Mo 18,22; 1Sam 6,19; 2Sam 6,6; 1Chr 13,10) 52 The people of Israel shall pitch their tents by their companies, each man in his own camp and each man by his own standard. (4Mo 2,2; 4Mo 2,34) 53 But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the people of Israel.
