Wahre Gotteserkenntnis zeigt sich im Halten der Gebote Gottes und in der Bruderliebe
3Und daran erkennen wir, dass wir ihn erkannt haben, wenn wir seine Gebote halten. Warnung vor der Liebe zur Welt
15Habt nicht lieb die Welt, noch was in der Welt ist! Wenn jemand die Welt lieb hat, so ist die Liebe des Vaters nicht in ihm. (Kol 3,2; Jak 4,4)16Denn alles, was in der Welt ist, die Fleischeslust, die Augenlust und der Hochmut des Lebens, ist nicht von dem Vater, sondern von der Welt. (1Mo 3,6; Hi 31,1; Ps 119,37; Mt 23,5; Eph 2,3)17Und die Welt vergeht und ihre Lust; wer aber den Willen Gottes tut, der bleibt in Ewigkeit. (Ps 39,7; Spr 10,25; Spr 23,5; Pred 1,2; Dan 12,3)
Warnung vor der antichristlichen Verführung
18Kinder, es ist die letzte Stunde! Und wie ihr gehört habt, dass der Antichrist[1] kommt, so sind jetzt viele Antichristen aufgetreten; daran erkennen wir, dass es die letzte Stunde ist. (Mt 24,24; Röm 13,11; 2Thess 2,3; 2Thess 2,7; 2Petr 2,1; 1Joh 2,8; 2Joh 1,7; Offb 13,1; Offb 13,11)19Sie sind von uns ausgegangen, aber sie waren nicht von uns; denn wenn sie von uns gewesen wären, so wären sie bei uns geblieben. Aber es sollte offenbar werden, dass sie alle nicht von uns sind. (Apg 20,30; 1Kor 11,19)20Und ihr habt die Salbung von dem Heiligen und wisst alles. (Joh 16,13; 1Kor 2,12; 2Kor 1,21)21Ich habe euch nicht geschrieben, als ob ihr die Wahrheit nicht kennen würdet, sondern weil ihr sie kennt und weil keine Lüge aus der Wahrheit ist. (Spr 1,5; Spr 9,9; Röm 15,14; 1Kor 1,5; 2Petr 1,12)22Wer ist der Lügner, wenn nicht der, welcher leugnet, dass Jesus der Christus ist? Das ist der Antichrist, der den Vater und den Sohn leugnet. (Joh 8,44; 1Joh 2,18)23Wer den Sohn leugnet, der hat auch den Vater nicht. Wer den Sohn bekennt, der hat auch den Vater. (1Joh 4,15; 1Joh 5,12; 2Joh 1,9)24Was ihr nun von Anfang an gehört habt[2], das bleibe in euch! Wenn in euch bleibt, was ihr von Anfang an gehört habt, so werdet auch ihr in dem Sohn und in dem Vater bleiben. (1Joh 4,1)27Und die Salbung, die ihr von ihm empfangen habt, bleibt in euch, und ihr habt es nicht nötig, dass euch jemand lehrt; sondern wie euch die Salbung selbst über alles belehrt, ist es wahr und keine Lüge; und so wie sie euch belehrt hat, werdet ihr in ihm bleiben. The New Commandment
7Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. Do Not Love the World
15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (Röm 12,2; 2Tim 4,10; Jak 4,4)16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life[3]—is not from the Father but is from the world. (Pred 4,8; Pred 5,11; Röm 13,14; Eph 2,3; 1Petr 4,2; 2Petr 2,18)17And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1Kor 7,31)
Warning Concerning Antichrists
18Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. (Mt 24,5; Mt 24,24; 1Tim 4,1; 2Tim 3,1; Jak 5,3; 2Petr 3,3; 1Joh 2,22; 1Joh 4,1; 1Joh 4,3; 2Joh 1,7; Jud 1,18)19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. (5Mo 13,13; Joh 17,12; Apg 20,30; 1Kor 11,19)20But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.[4] (Mk 1,24; Joh 14,26; 2Kor 1,21; 1Joh 2,27)21I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.22Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?
