1Был голод в земле, сверх прежнего голода, который был во дни Авраама; и пошел Исаак к Авимелеху, царю Филистимскому, в Герар.2Господь явился ему и сказал: не ходи в Египет; живи в земле, о которой Я скажу тебе,3странствуй по сей земле, и Я буду с тобою и благословлю тебя, ибо тебе и потомству твоему дам все земли сии и исполню клятву, которою Я клялся Аврааму, отцу твоему;4умножу потомство твое, как звезды небесные, и дам потомству твоему все земли сии; благословятся в семени твоем все народы земные,5за то, что Авраам послушался гласа Моего и соблюдал, что Мною [заповедано] было соблюдать: повеления Мои, уставы Мои и законы Мои.6Исаак поселился в Гераре.7Жители места того спросили о жене его, и он сказал: это сестра моя; потому что боялся сказать: жена моя, чтобы не убили меня, [думал он], жители места сего за Ревекку, потому что она прекрасна видом.8Но когда уже много времени он там прожил, Авимелех, царь Филистимский, посмотрев в окно, увидел, что Исаак играет с Ревеккою, женою своею.9И призвал Авимелех Исаака и сказал: вот, это жена твоя; как же ты сказал: она сестра моя? Исаак сказал ему: потому что я думал, не умереть бы мне ради ее.10Но Авимелех сказал: что это ты сделал с нами? едва один из народа не совокупился с женою твоею, и ты ввел бы нас в грех.11И дал Авимелех повеление всему народу, сказав: кто прикоснется к сему человеку и к жене его, тот предан будет смерти.12И сеял Исаак в земле той и получил в тот год ячменя во сто крат: так благословил его Господь.13И стал великим человек сей и возвеличивался больше и больше до того, что стал весьма великим.14У него были стада мелкого и стада крупного скота и множество пахотных полей, и Филистимляне стали завидовать ему.15И все колодези, которые выкопали рабы отца его при жизни отца его Авраама, Филистимляне завалили и засыпали землею.16И Авимелех сказал Исааку: удались от нас, ибо ты сделался гораздо сильнее нас.17И Исаак удалился оттуда, и расположился шатрами в долине Герарской, и поселился там.18И вновь выкопал Исаак колодези воды, которые выкопаны были во дни Авраама, отца его, и которые завалили Филистимляне по смерти Авраама; и назвал их теми же именами, которыми назвал их отец его.19И копали рабы Исааковы в долине и нашли там колодезь воды живой.20И спорили пастухи Герарские с пастухами Исаака, говоря: наша вода. И он нарек колодезю имя: Есек, потому что спорили с ним.21выкопали другой колодезь; спорили также и о нем; и он нарек ему имя: Ситна.22И он двинулся отсюда и выкопал иной колодезь, о котором уже не спорили, и нарек ему имя: Реховоф, ибо, сказал он, теперь Господь дал нам пространное место, и мы размножимся на земле.23Оттуда перешел он в Вирсавию.24И в ту ночь явился ему Господь и сказал: Я Бог Авраама, отца твоего; не бойся, ибо Я с тобою; и благословлю тебя и умножу потомство твое, ради Авраама, раба Моего.25И он устроил там жертвенник и призвал имя Господа. И раскинул там шатер свой, и выкопали там рабы Исааковы колодезь.26Пришел к нему из Герара Авимелех и Ахузаф, друг его, и Фихол, военачальник его.27Исаак сказал им: для чего вы пришли ко мне, когда вы возненавидели меня и выслали меня от себя?28Они сказали: мы ясно увидели, что Господь с тобою, и потому мы сказали: поставим между нами и тобою клятву и заключим с тобою союз,29чтобы ты не делал нам зла, как и мы не коснулись до тебя, а делали тебе одно доброе и отпустили тебя с миром; теперь ты благословен Господом.30Он сделал им пиршество, и они ели и пили.31И встав рано утром, поклялись друг другу; и отпустил их Исаак, и они пошли от него с миром.32В тот же день пришли рабы Исааковы и известили его о колодезе, который копали они, и сказали ему: мы нашли воду.33И он назвал его: Шива. Посему имя городу тому Беэршива до сего дня.34И был Исав сорока лет, и взял себе в жены Иегудифу, дочь Беэра Хеттеянина, и Васемафу, дочь Елона Хеттеянина;35и они были в тягость Исааку и Ревекке.
1En ese tiempo hubo mucha hambre en aquella región, además de la que hubo en tiempos de Abraham. Por eso Isaac se fue a Guerar, donde se encontraba Abimélec, rey de los filisteos.2Allí el SEÑOR se le apareció y le dijo: «No vayas a Egipto. Quédate en la región de la que te he hablado.3Vive en ese lugar por un tiempo. Yo estaré contigo y te bendeciré, porque a ti y a tu descendencia os daré todas esas tierras. Así confirmaré el juramento que le hice a tu padre Abraham.4Multiplicaré tu descendencia como las estrellas del cielo, y le daré todas esas tierras. Por medio de tu descendencia, todas las naciones de la tierra serán bendecidas,5porque Abraham me obedeció y cumplió mis preceptos y mis mandamientos, mis normas y mis enseñanzas».6Isaac se quedó en Guerar.7Y, cuando la gente del lugar le preguntaba a Isaac acerca de su esposa, él respondía que ella era su hermana. Tan bella era Rebeca que Isaac tenía miedo de decir que era su esposa, pues pensaba que por causa de ella podrían matarlo.8Algún tiempo después, mientras Abimélec, el rey de los filisteos, miraba por una ventana, vio a Isaac acariciando a su esposa Rebeca.9Entonces mandó llamar a Isaac y le dijo: ―¡Conque ella es tu esposa! ¿Por qué dijiste que era tu hermana? ―Yo pensé que por causa de ella podrían matarme —contestó Isaac.10―¿Por qué nos hiciste esto? —replicó Abimélec—. Alguno de nosotros podría haberse acostado con tu esposa, ¡y tú nos habrías hecho a todos culpables de ese pecado!11Por eso Abimélec envió esta orden a todo el pueblo: ―Si alguien molesta a este hombre o a su esposa, será condenado a muerte.12Isaac sembró en aquella región, y ese año cosechó al ciento por uno, porque el SEÑOR lo había bendecido.13Así Isaac fue acumulando riquezas, hasta que llegó a ser muy rico.14Esto causó que los filisteos comenzaran a tenerle envidia, pues llegó a tener muchas ovejas, vacas y siervos.15Ahora bien, los filisteos habían cegado todos los pozos de agua que los siervos del padre de Isaac habían cavado.16Así que Abimélec le dijo a Isaac: ―Aléjate de nosotros, pues ya eres más poderoso que nosotros.17Isaac se fue de allí y acampó en el valle de Guerar, donde se quedó a vivir.18Abrió nuevamente los pozos de agua que habían sido cavados en tiempos de su padre Abraham, y que los filisteos habían tapado después de su muerte, y les puso los mismos nombres que su padre les había dado.19Cierta vez, cuando los siervos de Isaac estaban cavando en el valle, encontraron un manantial.20Pero los pastores de Guerar discutieron acaloradamente con los pastores de Isaac, alegando que el agua era de ellos. Por eso Isaac llamó a ese pozo Pleito,[1] porque habían peleado con él.21Después sus siervos cavaron otro pozo, por el cual también se pelearon. Por eso Isaac lo llamó Enemistad.[2]22Entonces Isaac se fue de allí y cavó otro pozo, pero esta vez no hubo ninguna disputa. A este pozo lo llamó Espacios libres,[3] y dijo: «El SEÑOR nos ha dado espacio para que prosperemos en esta región».23De allí Isaac se dirigió a Berseba.24Esa noche se le apareció el SEÑOR, y le dijo: «Yo soy el Dios de tu padre Abraham. No temas, porque yo estoy contigo. Por amor a mi siervo Abraham, te bendeciré y multiplicaré tu descendencia».25Allí Isaac construyó un altar e invocó el nombre del SEÑOR. Acampó en ese lugar, y sus siervos cavaron un pozo.26Cierto día, Abimélec fue a ver a Isaac desde Guerar. Llegó acompañado de su consejero Ajuzat, y de Ficol, el jefe de su ejército.27Isaac les preguntó: ―Si tanto me odiáis que hasta me echasteis de vuestra tierra, ¿para qué venís a verme?28―Nos hemos dado cuenta de que el SEÑOR está contigo —respondieron—. Hemos pensado que tú y nosotros debiéramos hacer un pacto, respaldado por un juramento. Ese pacto será el siguiente:29Tú no nos harás ningún daño, ya que nosotros no te hemos perjudicado, sino que te hemos tratado bien y te hemos dejado ir en paz. ¡Ahora el bendecido del SEÑOR eres tú!30Isaac les preparó un banquete, y comieron y bebieron.31A la mañana siguiente se levantaron muy temprano, e hicieron un compromiso mutuo. Luego Isaac los despidió, y ellos se fueron en calidad de amigos.32Aquel mismo día, los siervos de Isaac fueron y le informaron acerca de un pozo que habían cavado, y le dijeron: ―¡Hemos encontrado agua!33Isaac llamó a ese pozo Juramento.[4] Por eso la ciudad se llama Berseba[5] hasta el día de hoy.
Isaac bendice a Jacob
34Esaú tenía cuarenta años de edad cuando se casó con Judit hija de Beerí, el hitita. También se casó con Basemat, hija de un hitita llamado Elón.35Estas dos mujeres les causaron mucha amargura a Isaac y a Rebeca.
1Now there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar to Abimelech king of the Philistines. Isaac and Abimelech
6So Isaac settled in Gerar.7When the men of the place asked him about his wife, he said, “She is my sister,” for he feared to say, “My wife,” thinking, “lest the men of the place should kill me because of Rebekah,” because she was attractive in appearance. (Быт 12:13; Быт 20:2; Быт 20:13; Быт 24:16; Прит 29:25)8When he had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out of a window and saw Isaac laughing with[1] Rebekah his wife.9So Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Behold, she is your wife. How then could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I thought, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”10Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.” (Быт 20:9)11So Abimelech warned all the people, saying, “Whoever touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”12And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. (Быт 21:30)16And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.”17So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there.18And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,29that you will do us no harm, just as we have not touched you and have done to you nothing but good and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed of the Lord.” (Быт 24:31)30So he made them a feast, and they ate and drank.31In the morning they rose early and exchanged oaths. And Isaac sent them on their way, and they departed from him in peace. (Быт 21:31)32That same day Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well that they had dug and said to him, “We have found water.”33He called it Shibah;[5] therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day. (Быт 21:31; Быт 22:19)34When Esau was forty years old, he took Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite to be his wife, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite, (Быт 28:9; Быт 36:2)35and they made life bitter[6] for Isaac and Rebekah.
