I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 O LORD, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. (Job 42,3; Ps 101,5; Ps 138,6; Iz 57,15; Jer 45,5; Rz 12,16) 

2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. (Mt 18,3; 1 Kor 14,20) 

3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and forevermore. (Ps 130,7)
