Psalm 112

English Standard Version

od Crossway
1 [1] Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! (Ps 1,2; Ps 104,35; Ps 111,10; Ps 115,13; Ps 128,1; Ps 128,4)2 His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. (Ps 25,13; Ps 37,26; Ps 102,28; Przyp 11,21; Przyp 20,7)3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. (Ps 111,3; Przyp 3,16)4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. (Job 11,17; Mt 1,19)5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. (Ps 37,26)6 For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. (Ps 55,22; Przyp 10,7)7 He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD. (Ps 11,1; Ps 57,7; Ps 64,10; Przyp 1,33)8 His heart is steady;[2] he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.9 He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor. (Ps 75,10; 2 Kor 9,9)10 The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! (Job 8,13; Ps 58,8; Mt 8,12; Łk 13,28)
