di Biblica1Se credete che Gesù è il Cristo, Figlio di Dio e nostro Salvatore, allora siete diventati figli di Dio. E chi ama un padre, ama anche i suoi figli.2Perciò, se amiamo Dio e osserviamo i suoi comandamenti, amiamo anche i figli di Dio.3Amare Dio significa osservare i suoi comandamenti, che non sono troppo gravosi.4Ogni figlio di Dio può osservarli, sconfiggendo il peccato e le passioni del mondo con unʼarma vittoriosa: la fede.5Chi potrebbe mai combattere e vincere questa battaglia, se non chi crede che Gesù è davvero il Figlio di Dio?6-8E noi ne siamo convinti, perché Dio lo disse dal cielo, quando Gesù fu battezzato e lo ripeté alla sua morte. E ce lo conferma lo Spirito Santo, che dice sempre la verità. Perciò noi abbiamo questi tre testimoni: lo Spirito Santo nel nostro cuore, la voce che parlò dal cielo al battesimo di Cristo, e la voce che parlò prima della sua morte. Tutti e tre sono concordi su questo fatto: che Gesù Cristo è il Figlio di Dio.9Se accettiamo la testimonianza degli uomini nei tribunali, ancor più possiamo credere alla testimonianza di Dio. E Dio afferma che Gesù è suo Figlio.10Chiunque crede in questo sa nel proprio cuore che è vero. Chi, invece, non crede a Dio, gli dà del bugiardo, perché non crede a ciò che egli ha detto riguardo a suo Figlio.11E che cosa ha detto il Signore? Che ci ha dato la vita eterna, e che questa vita è in suo Figlio.12Perciò, chi ha il Figlio di Dio ha la vita; chi, invece, non ha il Figlio di Dio non ha la vita.13Ho scritto queste cose a voi che credete nel Figlio di Dio, perché siate certi di avere già la vita eterna.14E siamo convinti di questo: che Dio ci ascolterà ogni qual volta gli chiederemo qualcosa che rientri nella sua volontà.15E se sappiamo che ci ascolta, quando gli parliamo e facciamo le nostre richieste, allora possiamo essere certi che egli ci esaudirà.16Se uno vede un fratello nella fede commettere un peccato che non porta alla morte, preghi il Signore di perdonarlo, e Dio gli darà la vita, sempre che non abbia commesso un peccato che porta alla morte. Ma cʼè un peccato che porta alla morte e non è per quello che vi dico di pregare.17Naturalmente, ogni cosa che facciamo contro la volontà di Dio è peccato, ma ora non parlo di questi peccati, mi riferisco a quello che porta alla morte.[1]18Sappiamo bene che chi è diventato figlio di Dio non pecca di continuo, perché Cristo, il Figlio di Dio, lo protegge e il diavolo non può toccarlo.19Noi sappiamo di essere figli di Dio, mentre tutto il resto del mondo intorno a noi è in balia del diavolo.20Sappiamo anche che Cristo, il Figlio di Dio, è venuto e ci ha aiutato a conoscere il vero Dio. Ed ora noi siamo uniti a Dio, perché siamo in Gesù Cristo, suo Figlio. È lui lʼunico vero Dio e la vita eterna.21Figli miei, state in guardia da tutto ciò che potrebbe prendere il posto di Dio nel vostro cuore! Giovanni.

Testimony Concerning the Son of God
6This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. (Giov 14,17; Giov 15,26; Giov 16,13; At 5,32; 1G 5,8)7For there are three that testify:8the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.9If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. That You May Know
13I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
