1برخيز ای اورشليم، برخيز و بار ديگر خود را قوی ساز! ای شهر مقدس، لباس زيبايت را بپوش، زيرا ديگر گناهكاران وارد تو نخواهند شد.2ای اورشليم، از ميان خاک بلند شو! ای اسيرشدگان اورشليم، بندهای اسارت را از گردن خود باز كنيد!3زيرا خداوند میفرمايد: «مفت اسير شدهايد و مفت نيز آزاد خواهيد شد.4در گذشته با ميل خود به مصر رفتيد تا در آنجا زندگی كنيد، اما بعد آشور شما را اسير كرد؛5و اينک در بابل بیجهت بر شما ظلم میكنند. آنها شما را اسير كردهاند و از شادی فرياد برمیآورند و هر روز نام مرا بیحرمت میسازند.6اما روزی خواهد آمد كه شما، ای قوم من، به قدرتی كه در نام من است پی خواهيد برد و خواهيد فهميد كه اين من هستم، بلی من هستم، كه با شما سخن میگويم.»7چه زيباست پاهای پيک خوش خبری كه از كوهستان میآيد و خبر صلح و نجات را میآورد و به اسرائيل میگويد: «خدای تو سلطنت میكند!»8دیدبانان از شادی با صدای بلند سرود میخوانند، زيرا با چشمان خود میبينند كه خداوند دوباره به اورشليم باز میگردد.9ای خرابههای اورشليم با صدای بلند آواز شادمانی سر دهيد، زيرا خداوند اورشليم را آزاد خواهد ساخت و قوم خود را تسلی خواهد داد.10خداوند در برابر چشمان تمام قومها، قدرت مقدس خود را به کار خواهد برد و قوم خود را نجات خواهد داد تا همه آن را ببينند.11اينک خود را از قيد اسارت آزاد سازيد و بابل و تمام مظاهر آن را پشت سر بگذاريد، زيرا آنها ناپاک هستند. شما قوم مقدس خداوند هستيد. ای همهٔ شما كه ظروف خانهٔ خداوند را حمل میكنيد و به وطن باز میگرديد، خود را پاک سازيد!12اين بار ديگر با عجله از سرزمين اسارتتان نخواهيد رفت و لازم نخواهد بود كه بگريزيد، زيرا خداوند پيشاپيش شما خواهد رفت و خود خدای اسرائيل، حافظ شما خواهد بود.
خدمتگزار رنجديدهٔ خداوند
13خداوند میفرمايد: «خدمتگزار من در كار خود كامياب و بسيار سرافراز خواهد شد.14بسياری از مردم با ديدن او متحير میشوند، زيرا صورت او به قدری عوض شده كه ديگر شكل انسان ندارد.15او خون خود را بر قومهای بسيار خواهد پاشيد و آنها را از گناه پاک خواهد ساخت. پادشاهان جهان در حضور او دهان خود را خواهند بست، زيرا چيزهايی را خواهند ديد كه كسی برای آنها تعريف نكرده و چيزهايی را خواهند فهميد كه از كسی نشنيده بودند.»
1Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. He Was Pierced for Our Transgressions
13Behold, my servant shall act wisely;[2] he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted. (اشعيا 42:1)14As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind— (اشعيا 53:2)15so shall he sprinkle[3] many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths because of him, for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand.
