1خدای اسرائيل میفرمايد: «تسلی دهيد! قوم مرا تسلی دهيد!2اهالی اورشليم را دلداری دهيد و به آنان بگوييد كه روزهای سخت ايشان به سر آمده و گناهانشان بخشيده شده، زيرا من به اندازهٔ گناهانشان آنها را تنبيه كردهام.»3صدايی میشنوم كه میگويد: «راهی از وسط بيابان برای آمدن خداوند آماده كنيد. راه او را در صحرا صاف كنيد.4درهها را پر كنيد؛ کوهها و تپهها را هموار سازيد؛ راههای كج را راست و جادههای ناهموار را صاف كنيد.5آنگاه شكوه و جلال خداوند ظاهر خواهد شد و همهٔ مردم آن را خواهند ديد. خداوند اين را وعده فرموده است.»6بار ديگر آن صدا میگويد: «با صدای بلند بگو!» پرسيدم: «با صدای بلند چه بگويم؟» گفت: «با صدای بلند بگو كه انسان مثل گياهی است كه خشک شده، از بين میرود و تمام زيبايی او همچون گلی است كه پژمرده میشود.7وقتی خدا میدمد گياه خشک و گل پژمرده میشود. بلی، انسان مانند گياه از بين میرود.8گياه خشک میشود و گل پژمرده میگردد، اما كلام خدای ما برای هميشه باقی میماند.»9ای قاصد خوش خبر، از قلهٔ كوه، اورشليم را صدا كن. پيامت را با تمام قدرت اعلام كن و نترس. به شهرهای يهودا بگو: «خدای شما میآيد!»10بلی، خداوند میآيد تا با قدرت حكومت كند. پاداشش همراه او است و هر کس را مطابق اعمالش پاداش خواهد داد.11او مانند شبان، گلهٔ خود را خواهد چرانيد؛ برهها را در آغوش خواهد گرفت و ميشها را با ملايمت هدايت خواهد كرد.
خدای بینظير اسرائيل
12آيا كسی غير از خدا میتواند اقيانوس را در دست نگه دارد و يا آسمان را با وجب اندازه گيرد؟ آيا كسی غير از او میتواند خاک زمين را در ترازو بريزد و يا کوهها و تپهها را با قپان وزن كند؟13آيا كسی میتواند خداوند را پند دهد يا معلم و مشاور او باشد؟14آيا او تا به حال به ديگران محتاج بوده است كه به او حكمت و دانش بياموزند و راه راست را به او ياد دهند؟15به هيچ وجه! تمام مردم جهان در برابر او مثل قطرهٔ آبی در سطل و مانند غباری در ترازو، ناچيز هستند. همهٔ جزاير دنيا برای او گردی بيش نيستند و او میتواند آنها را از جايشان تكان دهد.16اگر تمام حيوانات لبنان را برای خدا قربانی كنيم باز كم است و اگر تمام جنگلهای لبنان را برای روشن كردن آتش قربانی به کار بريم باز كافی نيست.17تمام قومها در نظر او هيچ هستند و ناچيز به شمار میآيند.18چگونه میتوان خدا را توصيف كرد؟ او را با چه چيز میتوان مقايسه نمود؟19آيا میتوان او را با يک بت مقايسه كرد؟ بتی كه بت ساز آن را ساخته و با طلا پوشانده و به گردنش زنجير نقرهای انداخته است؟20فقيری كه نمیتواند خدايانی از طلا و نقره درست كند، درختی میيابد كه چوبش با دوام باشد و آن را به دست صنعتگری ماهر میدهد تا برايش خدايی بسازد، خدايی كه حتی قادر به حركت نيست!21آيا تا به حال ندانستهايد و نشنيدهايد و كسی به شما نگفته كه دنيا چگونه به وجود آمده است؟22خدا دنيا را آفريده است؛ همان خدايی كه بر فراز كرهٔ زمين نشسته و مردم روی زمين در نظر او مانند مورچه هستند. او آسمانها را مثل پرده پهن میكند و از آنها خيمهای برای سكونت خود میسازد.23او رهبران بزرگ دنيا را ساقط میكند و از بين میبرد.24هنوز ريشه نزده خدا بر آنها میدمد، و آنها پژمرده شده، مثل كاه پراكنده میگردند.25خداوند قدوس میپرسد: «شما مرا با چه كسی مقايسه میكنيد؟ چه كسی میتواند با من برابری كند؟»26به آسمانها نگاه كنيد! كيست كه همهٔ اين ستارگان را آفريده است؟ كسی كه آنها را آفريده است از آنها مثل يک لشكر سان میبيند، تعدادشان را میداند و آنها را به نام میخواند. قدرت او آنقدر عظيم است كه نمیگذارد هيچكدام از آنها گم شوند.27پس، ای اسرائيل، چرا میگويی خداوند رنجهای مرا نمیبيند و با من به انصاف رفتار نمیكند؟28آيا تا به حال ندانسته و نشنيدهای كه خدای ابدی، خالق تمام دنيا هرگز درمانده و خسته نمیشود و هيچكس نمیتواند به عمق افكار او پی ببرد؟29او به خستگان نيرو میبخشد و به ضعيفان قدرت عطا میكند.30حتی جوانان هم درمانده و خسته میشوند و دلاوران از پای در میآيند،31اما آنانی كه به خداوند اميد بستهاند نيروی تازه میيابند و مانند عقاب پرواز میكنند؛ میدوند و خسته نمیشوند، راه میروند و ناتوان نمیگردند.
1Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. (اشعيا 51:12; نوشتهء لوقا 2:25)2Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare[1] is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. (مزامير 68:4; اشعيا 57:14; ملاكی 3:1; متیٰ 3:3; نوشتهء مَرقُس 1:3; نوشتهء لوقا 3:4; نوشته ء يوحنا 1:23)4Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. (اشعيا 49:11; نوشتهء لوقا 3:5)5And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” (اشعيا 1:20; نوشتهء لوقا 3:6)
The Word of God Stands Forever
6A voice says, “Cry!” And I said,[3] “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty[4] is like the flower of the field. (ايوب 14:2; مزامير 102:11; مزامير 103:15; نامهء يعقوب 1:10; 1پطرس 1:24)7The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.8The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. The Greatness of God
9Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news;[5] lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good news;[6] lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” (اشعيا 52:7)10Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. (اشعيا 59:16; اشعيا 62:11; نوشتهء لوقا 11:22; مکاشفه 22:12)11He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. (اعداد 11:12; حزقيال نبی 34:23; زكريا 11:7; متیٰ 18:12; نوشتهء لوقا 15:5; نوشته ء يوحنا 10:11; نوشته ء يوحنا 21:15; اعمال رسولان مسيح 20:28)12Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? (امثال 30:4)13Who has measured[7] the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? (روم 11:34; 1قرنتس 2:16)14Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding? (ايوب 21:22)15Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, and are accounted as the dust on the scales; behold, he takes up the coastlands like fine dust. (اشعيا 29:5; اشعيا 41:1)16Lebanon would not suffice for fuel, nor are its beasts enough for a burnt offering. (مزامير 50:10)17All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness. A craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts for it silver chains. (اشعيا 40:18)20He who is too impoverished for an offering chooses wood[8] that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to set up an idol that will not move. (اشعيا 44:9; اشعيا 46:6; اِرميا 10:3)21Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? (اشعيا 40:28; اعمال رسولان مسيح 14:17; روم 1:19)22It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; (اعداد 13:33; ايوب 9:8; مزامير 104:2)23who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness. (ايوب 12:21; مزامير 107:40)24Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble. (مزامير 83:13; اشعيا 41:2)25To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. (اشعيا 40:18)26Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing. (مزامير 147:4)27Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God”? (اشعيا 49:4; اشعيا 49:14)28Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. (مزامير 121:4; مزامير 147:5)29He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.30Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
