1بيابان به وجد خواهد آمد، صحرا پر از گل خواهد شد2و سرود و شادی همه جا را پر خواهد ساخت. بيابانها مانند كوههای لبنان سبز و خرم خواهند شد و صحراها همچون چراگاههای كرمل و چمنزارهای شارون حاصلخيز خواهند گرديد. خداوند شكوه و زيبايی خود را نمايان خواهد ساخت و همه آن را خواهند ديد.3مردم دلسرد و مأيوس را با اين خبر شاد كنيد.4به آنانی كه میترسند، قوت قلب دهيد و بگوييد: «دلير باشيد و نترسيد، زيرا خدای شما میآيد تا از دشمنانتان انتقام بگيرد و آنها را به سزای اعمالشان برساند.»5وقتی او بيايد چشمهای كوران را بينا و گوشهای كران را شنوا خواهد ساخت.6لنگ مانند آهو جست و خيز خواهد كرد و لال سرود خواهد خواند. در بيابان، چشمهها و در صحرا، نهرها جاری خواهند شد.7شورهزار به بركه، و زمين خشک و تشنه به چشمه تبديل خواهند گرديد. آنجا كه شغالها در آن میخوابيدند از علف و بوريا و نی پر خواهد شد.8در زمين ويران راهی باز خواهد شد و آن را«شاهراه مقدس» خواهند ناميد و هيچ شخص بدكار از آن عبور نخواهد كرد. در آنجا خداوند همراه شما خواهد بود و كسانی كه در آن گام بردارند اگرچه جاهل باشند گمراه نخواهند شد.9در كنار آن راه نه شيری كمين خواهد كرد و نه خطر ديگری وجود خواهد داشت. نجات يافتگان در آن سفر خواهند كرد.10و كسانی كه خداوند آزادشان كرده، سرودخوانان با شادی جاودانی، از آن راه به اورشليم خواهند آمد. غم و نالهٔ آنان برای هميشه پايان خواهد يافت و جای خود را به شادی و سرود خواهد داد.
1The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; (اشعيا 32:15; اشعيا 55:12)2it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God.
