1 SENHOR, a ti clamo, do profundo desespero em que caí. 2 Ouve-me, Senhor! Dá atenção aos meus rogos! 3 Se considerares os nossos pecados, SENHOR, quem é que poderá sequer manter-se vivo? 4 Mas tu és um Deus que perdoa; é isso que faz com que sejas temido. 5 Confio em ti, esperando a tua resposta, segundo o que prometeste. 6 Anseio por ti, Senhor, mais do que as sentinelas pelo romper da madrugada. Sim, mais do que elas! 7 Espera no SENHOR, ó povo de Israel, porque ele é cheio de misericórdia e deseja salvar-te perfeitamente! 8 Ele redimirá Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.

(2 Cr 6:40; Sl 86:6; Sl 140:6) 3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? (Jó 10:14; Sl 76:7; Sl 90:8; Sl 143:2; Am 2:15; Na 1:6; Ml 3:2; Ef 6:13; Ap 6:17) 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
