1 SENHOR, cantar-te-ei um cântico que fale da tua bondade e da tua justiça. Sim, é isso que eu cantarei! 2 Procurarei andar num caminho reto; quando virás até mim? Viverei com integridade na minha casa. 3 Não porei os meus olhos nas pessoas indignas e perversas. Detesto os atos daqueles que fogem de ti e nem ouvir falar disso eu quero! 4 Também recusarei que o meu coração ganhe o gosto pela perversidade; rejeito o contacto com a maldade. 5 Serei intransigente com aqueles que caluniam o próximo nas suas costas. Não posso suportar os orgulhosos, aqueles que têm atitudes altivas e arrogantes. 6 Admiro os que são fiéis nesta terra; esses habitarão comigo. Os que se conduzem na vida com retidão me servirão. 7 Na minha casa nunca habitarão enganadores; não quero mentirosos na minha presença! 8 Sem descanso, dia após dia, serei intolerante com os maus deste reino, para que a cidade do SENHOR fique limpa de todos os que praticam o pecado.

1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music. (Ex 34:7) 2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; (Ex 20:24; 1 Rs 9:4; Sl 4:4; Sl 78:72; Sl 119:1; Pv 11:20; Mt 5:48; Jo 14:23) 3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. (Dt 15:9; Sl 40:4) 4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. (Pv 11:20; Pv 17:20; 1 Co 5:11) 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. (Sl 15:3; Sl 18:27; Sl 101:8; Sl 131:1; Pv 6:17; Pv 16:5; Pv 21:4; Pv 30:13) 6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. (Sl 119:1; Pv 11:20; Mt 5:48) 7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. (Sl 52:2; Sl 102:28) 8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord. (Sl 48:1; Sl 48:8; Sl 73:14; Sl 75:10; Sl 94:4; Is 52:1)
