de Biblica1Esta é a mensagem do SENHOR para Ciro, o ungido de Deus: “Eu escolhi-te para que conquistes muitas terras. Dou força ao teu braço e esmagarás o poder de reis poderosos. Abrir-te-ei as portas da Babilónia, as quais nunca mais se te fecharão na frente.2Irei adiante de ti, Ciro, nivelarei os montes no teu caminho, arrombarei as portas de bronze e quebrarei as trancas de ferro.3Dar-te-ei riquezas escondidas em lugares sem luz, tesouros secretos, e saberás que sou eu quem faz isso, o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, aquele que te chama pelo teu nome.4Afinal, por que razão te nomeei para esse trabalho? Por causa de Jacob, meu servo, Israel, o meu eleito. Chamei-te pelo teu nome, mesmo antes de me conheceres.5Eu sou o SENHOR! Não há outro Deus! Dar-te-ei força e encaminhar-te-ei para a vitória, mesmo que ainda não me conheças.6Todo o mundo, do oriente ao ocidente, verificará que não há outro Deus. Eu sou o SENHOR e não há outro para além de mim!7Faço a luz e faço as trevas. Sou eu quem tem domínio sobre os bons como sobre os maus tempos. Eu, o SENHOR, faço estas coisas.8Que os céus derramem a justiça! Abra-se a Terra e que a salvação e a justiça se espalhem, pois fui eu, o SENHOR, quem as criou.9Ai do homem que luta contra o seu Criador! Será que o vaso de barro se põe a argumentar contra o oleiro que o fabricou? Já alguma vez se viu o barro a disputar com aquele entre cujas mãos está a ser moldado e dizer: ‘O que estás a fazer?’ Será que o vaso diz: ‘O oleiro não tem mãos!’?10Ai daquele que diz ao pai: ‘O que foi que geraste?’ Infeliz da criança que diz à mãe: ‘O que é que deste à luz?’ ”11O SENHOR, o Santo de Israel, o Criador de Israel, diz: “Que direito têm de contestar aquilo que faço? Quem são vocês para me dar ordens ou indicações quanto ao trabalho das minhas mãos?12Fiz a Terra e criei o homem para viver nela. Com as minhas próprias mãos estendi os céus e comando todo o universo das estrelas.13Eu mesmo suscitei Ciro para dar cumprimento aos meus justos propósitos, por isso, guiá-lo-ei em todos os seus caminhos. Restaurará a minha cidade e libertará o meu povo cativo, e não o fará na esperança duma recompensa.”14Diz o SENHOR: “Os egípcios, os cuchitas e os habitantes de Seba ser-te-ão sujeitos. Virão ter contigo com as suas riquezas, com tudo o que produzem, e serão teus. Seguir-te-ão como prisioneiros em cadeias; dobrarão os seus joelhos perante ti e dirão: ‘O único Deus que existe é o teu!’ ”15Na verdade, ó Deus de Israel, ó Salvador, tens formas misteriosas de agir!16Todos os que adoram ídolos ficarão dececionados.17Mas Israel será salvo pelo SENHOR com uma salvação eterna; nunca serão desiludidos pelo seu Deus, por toda a eternidade.18Porque o SENHOR que criou os céus, o Deus que formou a Terra e pôs tudo no seu lugar, para que fosse habitada e não para que ficasse vazia ou no caos. Ele mesmo diz: “Eu sou o SENHOR e não há outro como eu!19Não foram palavras obscuras que balbuciei num canto escuro. Nunca mandei Israel inquirir de mim aquilo que nunca planeei dar-lhe, porque eu, o SENHOR, só anuncio a verdade e o que é reto!20Reúnam-se e venham juntas as nações que escaparam a Ciro! Que loucura essa, a de fazer procissões com ídolos esculpidos e dirigir rezas a deuses que não podem salvar!21Cheguem-se e discutam entre vós se vale a pena adorar um ídolo! Quem, senão Deus, pôde dar garantia de que tudo isto viria a acontecer? Alguma vez algum ídolo vos prometeu algum acontecimento futuro? É porque não há outro Deus além de mim, um Deus justo, um Salvador; não há um só sequer!22Olhem para mim e serão salvos, vocês todos os habitantes do mundo inteiro, pois eu sou Deus! Não há outro!23Jurei, por mim mesmo, e nunca volto atrás com a minha palavra dada: Perante mim, todo o joelho se dobrará e toda a língua me jurará submissão.24‘Só no SENHOR há justiça e poder!’, é o que toda a gente há de declarar.” E todos os que se revoltaram contra ele voltarão confundidos à sua presença.25No SENHOR todas as gerações de Israel serão justificadas e triunfarão.

(Is 43:1; Jr 50:37; Jr 51:13)4For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. (Is 45:3; Is 62:2)5I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, (Jó 12:21; Is 22:21; Is 44:8)6that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other. (Is 37:20; Ml 1:11)7I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things. (Is 41:23; Am 3:6)8“Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the Lord have created it. (Dt 32:2; Sl 85:11; Os 10:12)9“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’? (Ec 6:10; Is 10:15; Is 64:8; Rm 9:20)10Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’ or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’”11Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: “Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?[2] (Is 29:23; Is 41:23; Is 64:8; Jr 31:9; Ez 39:7)12I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. (Gn 2:1; Is 42:5; Is 44:24; Jr 27:5)13I have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his ways level; he shall build my city and set my exiles free, not for price or reward,” says the Lord of hosts. (Is 41:2; Is 44:28; Is 45:2; Is 49:25; Is 51:14; Is 52:3)
The Lord, the Only Savior
14Thus says the Lord: “The wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you and be yours; they shall follow you; they shall come over in chains and bow down to you. They will plead with you, saying: ‘Surely God is in you, and there is no other, no god besides him.’” (Is 14:2; Is 43:3)15Truly, you are a God who hides himself, O God of Israel, the Savior. (Is 57:17)16All of them are put to shame and confounded; the makers of idols go in confusion together. (Is 42:17)17But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity. (Is 54:4)18For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the Lord, and there is no other. (Gn 1:2; Sl 115:16; Is 42:5)19I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in vain.’[3] I the Lord speak the truth; I declare what is right. (Dt 30:11; Is 45:23; Is 48:16; Jr 29:13)20“Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols, and keep on praying to a god that cannot save. (Is 41:1; Is 44:17; Is 44:18; Is 46:1; Is 46:7; Is 48:5; Jr 10:5)21Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me. (Is 41:22; Is 41:26; Is 43:9; Is 43:11)22“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. (Is 11:12; Is 43:5)23By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’[4] (Gn 22:16; Is 45:19; Rm 14:11; Fp 2:10)24“Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. (Is 26:4; Is 41:11; Is 44:8)25In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory.”
