Die Zeltdecken für das Heiligtum

1 „Für die Wohnung sollst du zehn Zeltdecken anfertigen lassen. Sie sollen aus gezwirnten Leinenfäden gewebt und künstlerisch mit Cherubim aus blauen, roten und karmesinroten Fäden bestickt sein. 2 Jede dieser Zeltdecken soll vierzehn Meter lang und zwei Meter breit sein. 3 Je fünf Zeltdecken sollen an den Längsseiten miteinander vernäht werden. 4 Auch die so entstandenen Stücke sollen zusammengefügt werden können. Lass deshalb an den beiden Längsseiten je fünfzig Schlaufen aus blauem Purpur anbringen, 5 die sich genau gegenüberstehen, wenn man die Stücke nebeneinanderlegt. 6 Dann lass fünfzig Haken aus Gold herstellen, mit denen man beide Zeltdecken verbinden kann, sodass es ein Ganzes wird. 7 Weiterhin sollst du für die Überdachung elf Zeltbahnen aus Ziegenhaar herstellen lassen. 8 Jede einzelne Bahn muss fünfzehn Meter lang und zwei Meter breit sein. 9 Fünf dieser Zeltbahnen sollen miteinander verbunden werden und ebenso die anderen sechs. Die sechste Bahn soll dann an der Vorderseite des Zeltes doppelt gelegt werden. 10 Am Ende der beiden großen Stücke, die verbunden werden sollen, lass je fünfzig Schlaufen anbringen. 11 Dann lass fünfzig Bronzehaken herstellen und in die Schlaufen einfügen, sodass es ein Ganzes wird. 12 Die halbe Zeltbahn, die übersteht, soll dann über der Rückseite der Wohnung hängen. 13 Und was von der Länge der Bahnen übersteht, soll links und rechts an den Seiten der Wohnung je einen halben Meter überhängen. 14 Lass schließlich noch eine Decke aus rot gefärbten Fellen von Schafböcken herstellen und oben darüber eine Decke aus Tachasch-Häuten.“

Die Holzwände des Heiligtums

15 „Lass auch Bretter für die Wohnung herstellen! Sie sollen aus Akazienholz sein und aufrecht stehen. 16 Jedes Brett muss fünf Meter lang und dreiviertel Meter breit sein 17 und unten zwei nebeneinanderstehende Zapfen haben. 18 Zwanzig Bretter sollen die Südseite der Wohnung bilden. 19 Unter jedem Brett müssen zwei Bodenplatten aus Silber angebracht sein, für jeden Zapfen eine, vierzig insgesamt. 20 Auch die andere Längsseite der Wohnung, die Nordseite, wird aus zwanzig Brettern 21 mit ihren vierzig silbernen Bodenplatten gebildet, je zwei unter einem Brett. 22 Für die Rückwand nach Westen lass sechs Bretter machen. 23 Dazu kommen zwei Bretter für die Ecken an der Rückseite. 24 Sie sollen die Rückwand mit den Seitenwänden verbinden.^[1] 25 Es sollen also acht Bretter mit sechzehn silbernen Bodenplatten sein, zwei unter jedem Brett. 26 Lass auch Riegel aus Akazienholz anfertigen, um die Bretter der Wohnung zusammenzuhalten, 27 je fünf für die beiden Längsseiten und fünf für die nach Westen gerichtete Rückseite. 28 Der jeweils mittlere Riegel soll in der Mitte der Bretter von einem Ende bis zum anderen durchlaufen.^[2] 29 Die Bretter selbst sollen mit Gold überzogen werden, ebenso die Riegel. Die Ösen für die Riegel sollen aus Gold hergestellt werden. 30 So lass die Wohnung nach dem Bauplan aufrichten, der dir auf dem Berg gezeigt worden ist.“

Die Vorhänge für das Heiligtum

31 „Lass einen Vorhang aus gezwirntem Leinen anfertigen, der künstlerisch mit Cherubim aus blauen, roten und karmesinroten Fäden bestickt ist. 32 Den sollst du an vier Säulen aus Akazienholz hängen, die mit Gold überzogen sind, Haken aus Gold haben und auf silbernen Sockeln stehen. 33 Häng den Vorhang an die Haken. Er soll das Heilige vom Höchstheiligen trennen. Hinter den Vorhang stellst du dann die Bundeslade 34 und legst dort, im Höchstheiligen, die Deckplatte darauf. 35 Vor den Vorhang stellst du den Tisch an die Nordseite der Wohnung und ihm gegenüber an die Südseite den Leuchter. 36 Für den Eingang des Zeltes lass einen Vorhang aus gezwirntem Leinen machen, worin blaue, rote und karmesinrote Fäden eingewebt sind. 37 Für den Vorhang lass fünf Säulen aus Akazienholz herstellen, die mit Gold überzogen sind. Sie sollen Haken aus Gold haben, und jede soll auf einem aus Bronze gegossenen Sockel stehen.“

The holy tent

1 ‘Make ten curtains out of finely twisted linen for the holy tent. Make them with blue, purple and bright red yarn. Have a skilled worker sew cherubim into the pattern. 2 Make all the curtains the same size. They must be 14 metres long and 2 metres wide. 3 Join five of the curtains together. Do the same thing with the other five. 4 Make loops out of blue strips of cloth along the edge of the end curtain in one set. Do the same thing with the end curtain in the other set. 5 Make 50 loops on the end curtain of the one set. Do the same thing on the end curtain of the other set. Put the loops opposite each other. 6 Make 50 gold hooks. Use them to join the curtains together so that the holy tent is all one piece. 7 ‘Make a total of 11 curtains out of goat hair to put over the holy tent. 8 Make all 11 curtains the same size. They must be 15 metres long and 2 metres wide. 9 Join five of the curtains together into one set. Do the same thing with the other six. Fold the sixth curtain in half at the front of the tent. 10 Make 50 loops along the edge of the end curtain in the one set. Do the same thing with the other set. 11 Then make 50 bronze hooks. Put them in the loops to join the tent together all in one piece. 12 Let the extra half curtain hang down at the rear of the holy tent. 13 The tent curtains will be half a metre longer on both sides. What is left over will hang over the sides of the holy tent and cover it. 14 Make a covering for the tent. Make it out of ram skins that are dyed red. Put a covering of the other strong leather over that. 15 ‘Make frames out of acacia wood for the holy tent. 16 Make each frame 5 metres long and 75 centimetres wide. 17 Add two small wooden pins to each frame. Make the pins stick out so that they are even with each other. Make all the frames for the holy tent in the same way. 18 Make 20 frames for the south side of the holy tent. 19 And make 40 silver bases to go under them. Make two bases for each frame. Put one under each pin that sticks out. 20 For the north side of the holy tent make 20 frames 21 and 40 silver bases. Put two bases under each frame. 22 Make six frames for the west end of the holy tent. 23 Make two frames for the corners at the far end. 24 At those two corners the frames must be double from top to bottom. They must be fitted into a single ring. Make both of them the same. 25 There will be eight frames and 16 silver bases. There will be two bases under each frame. 26 ‘Also make crossbars out of acacia wood. Make five for the frames on one side of the holy tent. 27 Make five for the frames on the other side. And make five for the frames on the west, at the far end of the holy tent. 28 The centre crossbar must reach from end to end at the middle of the frames. 29 Cover the frames with gold. Make gold rings to hold the crossbars. Also cover the crossbars with gold. 30 ‘Set up the holy tent in keeping with the plan I showed you on the mountain. 31 ‘Make a curtain out of blue, purple and bright red yarn and finely twisted linen. Have a skilled worker sew cherubim into the pattern. 32 Hang the curtain with gold hooks on four posts that are made out of acacia wood. Cover the posts with gold. Stand them on four silver bases. 33 Hang the curtain from the hooks. Place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain. The curtain will separate the Holy Room from the Most Holy Room. 34 Put the cover on the ark of the covenant law in the Most Holy Room. The cover will be the place where sin is paid for. 35 Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the holy tent. And put the lampstand opposite it on the south side. 36 ‘Make a curtain for the entrance to the tent. Make it out of blue, purple and bright red yarn and finely twisted linen. Have a person who sews skilfully make it. 37 Make gold hooks for the curtain. Make five posts out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold. And make five bronze bases for them.
