Jahwe, wer darf Gast in deinem Zelt sein? / Wer darf wohnen auf deinem heiligen Berg?2Wer vorbildlich lebt und tut, was richtig ist vor dir; / wer durch und durch wahrhaftig ist3und andere nicht schlechtmacht; / wer seinem Freund nichts Böses antut / und seinen Nachbarn nicht kränkt.4Wer den Verworfenen nicht achtet, / aber die Gottesfürchtigen ehrt; / wer sein Versprechen nicht ändert, / auch wenn es ihm Nachteile bringt;5wer keine Wucherzinsen nimmt / und sich nicht bestechen lässt, um Schuldlosen zu schaden: / der steht immer auf sicherem Grund.
1LORD, who can live in your sacred tent? Who can stay on your holy mountain?2Anyone who lives without blame and does what is right. They speak the truth from their heart.3They don’t tell lies about other people. They don’t do wrong to their neighbours. They don’t say anything bad about them.4They hate evil people. But they honour those who have respect for the LORD. They keep their promises even when it hurts. They do not change their mind.5They lend their money to poor people without charging interest. They don’t accept money to harm those who aren’t guilty. Anyone who lives like that will always be secure.
