Psalm 112

Neue evangelistische Übersetzung

von Karl-Heinz Vanheiden
1 Halleluja, preist Jahwe!

Psalm 112

New International Reader’s Version

von Biblica
1 Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who have respect for the LORD. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.2 Their children will be powerful in the land. Because they are honest, their children will be blessed.3 Their family will have wealth and riches. They will always be blessed for doing what is right.4 Even in the darkness light shines on honest people. It shines on those who are kind and tender and godly.5 Good things will come to those who are willing to lend freely. Good things will come to those who are fair in everything they do.6 Those who do what is right will always be secure. They will be remembered for ever.7 They aren’t afraid when bad news comes. They stand firm because they trust in the LORD.8 Their hearts are secure. They aren’t afraid. In the end they will see their enemies destroyed.9 They have spread their gifts around to poor people. Their good works continue for ever. They will be powerful and honoured.10 Evil people will see it and be upset. They will grind their teeth and become weaker and weaker. What evil people long to do can’t succeed.

Psalm 112

English Standard Version

1 [1] Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! (Ps 1,2; Ps 104,35; Ps 111,10; Ps 115,13; Ps 128,1; Ps 128,4)2 His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. (Ps 25,13; Ps 37,26; Ps 102,28; Spr 11,21; Spr 20,7)3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. (Ps 111,3; Spr 3,16)4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. (Hi 11,17; Ps 97,11; Mt 1,19)5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. (Ps 37,26)6 For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. (Ps 55,22; Spr 10,7)7 He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. (Ps 11,1; Ps 57,7; Ps 64,10; Spr 1,33)8 His heart is steady;[2] he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.9 He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor. (Ps 75,10; 2Kor 9,9)10 The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked will perish! (Hi 8,13; Hi 16,9; Ps 58,8; Mt 8,12; Lk 13,28)
