Ein Psalmlied von David.2Hör meine Worte, Jahwe, / auf mein Seufzen hab Acht!3Vernimm doch meinen Hilfeschrei, mein König und mein Gott, / denn ich bete allein zu dir.4Frühmorgens schon hörst du meine Stimme, Jahwe. / In aller Frühe bringe ich dir mein Gebet und warte auf dich.5Du bist kein Gott, dem das Unrecht gefällt, / bei dir darf der Böse nicht bleiben.6Überhebliche Prahler willst du nicht sehen. / Wer Böses tut, ist dir verhasst.7Die Lügner lässt du zugrunde gehen. / Mörder und Betrüger sind Jahwe ein Gräuel.8Ich darf dein Haus betreten / dank deiner großen Gunst. / In Ehrfurcht bete ich zu dir, / neige mich zu deinem Heiligtum hin.9Führe mich, Jahwe, nach deiner Gerechtigkeit! / Tue es meinen Feinden zum Trotz! / Und bahne mir den Weg, den ich gehen soll!10Denn aus ihrem Mund kommt kein verlässliches Wort, / ihr Inneres ist voller Verderben. / Ihre Kehle ist wie ein offenes Grab, / ihre Zunge aalglatt.11Lass sie dafür büßen, Gott! / Durch ihre Pläne bring sie zu Fall! / Verstoße sie wegen ihrer vielen Vergehen, / denn sie haben gegen dich rebelliert.12Dann werden die sich freuen, die bei dir geborgen sind. / Ihr Jubel wird kein Ende haben, weil du sie beschirmst. / Und die, die deinen Namen lieben, freuen sich an dir!13Ja, du segnest den Gerechten, Jahwe. / Wie ein Schild umgibt ihn deine Gunst.
