1 Livra-me, ó Deus! Apressa-te, SENHOR, a ajudar-me! 2 Sejam humilhados e frustrados os que procuram tirar-me a vida; retrocedam desprezados os que desejam a minha ruína. 3 Retrocedam em desgraça os que zombam de mim. 4 Mas regozijem-se e alegrem-se em ti todos os que te buscam; digam sempre os que amam a tua salvação: “Como Deus é grande!” 5 Quanto a mim, sou pobre e necessitado; apressa-te, ó Deus. Tu és o meu socorro e o meu libertador; SENHOR, não te demores!

1 To the choirmaster. Of David, for the memorial offering. Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me! (1 Cr 16:4; Sl 38:1; Sl 40:13) 2 Let them be put to shame and confusion who seek my life! Let them be turned back and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt! 3 Let them turn back because of their shame who say, “Aha, Aha!” 4 May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!” 5 But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay! (Sl 141:1)
