1O SENHOR disse a Arão: “Você, os seus filhos e a família de seu pai serão responsáveis pelas ofensas contra o santuário; você e seus filhos serão responsáveis pelas ofensas cometidas no exercício do sacerdócio.2Traga também os seus irmãos levitas, que pertencem à tribo de seus antepassados, para se unirem a você e o ajudarem quando você e seus filhos ministrarem perante a tenda que guarda as tábuas da aliança.3Eles ficarão a seu serviço e cuidarão também do serviço da Tenda, mas não poderão aproximar-se dos utensílios do santuário ou do altar; se o fizerem, morrerão, tanto eles como vocês.4Eles se unirão a vocês e terão a responsabilidade de cuidar da Tenda do Encontro, realizando todos os trabalhos necessários. Ninguém mais poderá aproximar-se de vocês.5“Vocês terão a responsabilidade de cuidar do santuário e do altar, para que não torne a cair a ira divina sobre os israelitas.6Eu mesmo escolhi os seus irmãos, os levitas, dentre os israelitas, como um presente para vocês, dedicados ao SENHOR para fazerem o trabalho da Tenda do Encontro.7Mas somente você e seus filhos poderão servir como sacerdotes em tudo o que se refere ao altar e ao que se encontra além do véu. Dou a vocês o serviço do sacerdócio como um presente. Qualquer pessoa não autorizada que se aproximar do santuário terá que ser executada”.
As Ofertas Destinadas aos Sacerdotes e aos Levitas
8Então o SENHOR disse a Arão: “Eu mesmo o tornei responsável pelas contribuições trazidas a mim; todas as ofertas sagradas que os israelitas me derem, eu as dou como porção a você e a seus filhos.9Das ofertas santíssimas vocês terão a parte que é poupada do fogo. Dentre todas as dádivas que me trouxerem como ofertas santíssimas, seja oferta de cereal, seja pelo pecado, seja de reparação, tal parte pertence a você e a seus filhos.10Comam-na como algo santíssimo; todos os do sexo masculino a comerão. Considerem-na santa.11“Também dou a você, e a seus filhos e filhas, por decreto perpétuo, as contribuições que cabe a vocês de todas as ofertas dos israelitas e que devem ser ritualmente movidas. Todos os da sua família que estiverem cerimonialmente puros poderão comê-las.12“Dou a você o melhor azeite e o melhor vinho novo e o melhor trigo que eles apresentarem ao SENHOR como primeiros frutos da colheita.13Todos os primeiros frutos da terra que trouxerem ao SENHOR serão seus. Todos os da sua família que estiverem cerimonialmente puros poderão comê-los.14“Tudo o que em Israel for consagrado a Deus pertencerá a você.15O primeiro nascido de todo ventre, oferecido ao SENHOR, seja homem, seja animal, será seu. Mas você deverá resgatar todo filho mais velho, como também toda primeira cria de animais impuros.16Quando tiverem um mês de idade, você deverá resgatá-los pelo preço de resgate estabelecido em sessenta gramas[1] de prata, com base no peso padrão do santuário, que são doze gramas[2].17“Não resgate, porém, a primeira cria de uma vaca, de uma ovelha ou de uma cabra. Derrame o sangue deles sobre o altar e queime a sua gordura como uma oferta preparada no fogo, de aroma agradável ao SENHOR.18A carne desses animais pertence a você, como também o peito da oferta movida e a coxa direita.19Tudo aquilo que for separado dentre todas as dádivas sagradas que os israelitas apresentarem ao SENHOR eu dou a você e a seus filhos e filhas como decreto perpétuo. É uma aliança de sal perpétua perante o SENHOR, para você e para os seus descendentes”.20Disse ainda o SENHOR a Arão: “Você não terá herança na terra deles, nem terá porção entre eles; eu sou a sua porção e a sua herança entre os israelitas.21“Dou aos levitas todos os dízimos em Israel como retribuição pelo trabalho que fazem ao servirem na Tenda do Encontro.22De agora em diante os israelitas não poderão aproximar-se da Tenda do Encontro, caso contrário, sofrerão as consequências do seu pecado e morrerão.23É dever dos levitas fazer o trabalho na Tenda do Encontro e assumir a responsabilidade pelas ofensas contra ela. Este é um decreto perpétuo pelas suas gerações. Eles não receberão herança alguma entre os israelitas.24Em vez disso, dou como herança aos levitas os dízimos que os israelitas apresentarem como contribuição ao SENHOR. É por isso que eu disse que eles não teriam herança alguma entre os israelitas”.25O SENHOR disse depois a Moisés:26“Diga o seguinte aos levitas: Quando receberem dos israelitas o dízimo que dou a vocês como herança, vocês deverão apresentar um décimo daquele dízimo como contribuição pertencente ao SENHOR.27Essa contribuição será considerada equivalente à do trigo tirado da eira e do vinho do tanque de prensar uvas.28Assim, vocês apresentarão uma contribuição ao SENHOR de todos os dízimos recebidos dos israelitas. Desses dízimos vocês darão a contribuição do SENHOR ao sacerdote Arão.29E deverão apresentar como contribuição ao SENHOR a melhor parte, a parte sagrada de tudo o que for dado a vocês.30“Diga aos levitas: Quando vocês apresentarem a melhor parte, ela será considerada equivalente ao produto da eira e do tanque de prensar uvas.31Vocês e suas famílias poderão comer dessa porção em qualquer lugar, pois é o salário pelo trabalho de vocês na Tenda do Encontro.32Ao apresentarem a melhor parte, vocês não se tornarão culpados e não profanarão as ofertas sagradas dos israelitas, para que não morram”.
1So the LORD said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your father’s house with you shall bear iniquity connected with the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear iniquity connected with your priesthood. (Ex 28:38; Nm 18:23)2And with you bring your brothers also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, that they may join you and minister to you while you and your sons with you are before the tent of the testimony. (Gn 29:34; Nm 3:6)3They shall keep guard over you and over the whole tent, but shall not come near to the vessels of the sanctuary or to the altar lest they, and you, die. (Nm 3:25; Nm 3:31; Nm 3:36; Nm 4:15; Nm 16:40)4They shall join you and keep guard over the tent of meeting for all the service of the tent, and no outsider shall come near you. (Nm 17:13)5And you shall keep guard over the sanctuary and over the altar, that there may never again be wrath on the people of Israel. (Ex 27:21; Ex 30:7; Lv 10:6; Lv 24:3; Nm 3:38)6And behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from among the people of Israel. They are a gift to you, given to the LORD, to do the service of the tent of meeting. (Nm 3:9; Nm 3:12; Nm 3:45; Nm 8:19)7And you and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and that is within the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood as a gift,[1] and any outsider who comes near shall be put to death.” (Nm 1:51; Nm 3:10; Hb 9:3; Hb 9:6)8Then the LORD spoke to Aaron, “Behold, I have given you charge of the contributions made to me, all the consecrated things of the people of Israel. I have given them to you as a portion and to your sons as a perpetual due. (Ex 29:29; Ex 40:13; Ex 40:15; Lv 7:32; Nm 5:9)9This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering of theirs and every sin offering of theirs and every guilt offering of theirs, which they render to me, shall be most holy to you and to your sons. (Lv 4:22; Lv 4:27; Lv 6:25; Lv 6:26; Lv 7:7; Lv 14:13)10In a most holy place shall you eat it. Every male may eat it; it is holy to you.11This also is yours: the contribution of their gift, all the wave offerings of the people of Israel. I have given them to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat it. (Ex 29:27; Ex 29:28; Lv 7:30; Lv 7:34; Lv 10:14; Lv 22:2; Lv 22:3; Lv 22:11; Dt 18:3)12All the best of the oil and all the best of the wine and of the grain, the firstfruits of what they give to the LORD, I give to you. (Ex 23:19; Ex 34:26; Dt 18:4; Ne 10:35; Ne 10:36)13The first ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to the LORD, shall be yours. Everyone who is clean in your house may eat it. (Ex 22:29; Lv 2:14; Nm 18:11; Dt 26:2)14Every devoted thing in Israel shall be yours. (Lv 27:28)15Everything that opens the womb of all flesh, whether man or beast, which they offer to the LORD, shall be yours. Nevertheless, the firstborn of man you shall redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. (Ex 13:2; Ex 13:13; Ex 34:20)16And their redemption price (at a month old you shall redeem them) you shall fix at five shekels[2] in silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. (Ex 30:13; Lv 27:2; Lv 27:6; Nm 3:47)17But the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall burn their fat as a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. (Dt 15:19)18But their flesh shall be yours, as the breast that is waved and as the right thigh are yours. (Ex 29:26; Ex 29:28; Lv 7:31; Lv 7:32; Lv 7:34)19All the holy contributions that the people of Israel present to the LORD I give to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. It is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD for you and for your offspring with you.” (Lv 2:13; Nm 18:11; 2 Cr 13:5)20And the LORD said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the people of Israel. (Nm 18:23; Dt 10:9; Dt 12:12; Dt 14:27; Dt 18:1; Dt 18:2; Js 13:33; Js 14:3; Js 18:7; Ez 44:28)21“To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting, (Gn 14:20; Gn 28:22; Lv 27:30; Lv 27:32; Nm 18:24; Dt 14:22; Ne 10:37; Ne 12:44; Hb 7:5; Hb 7:8; Hb 7:9)22so that the people of Israel do not come near the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin and die. (Lv 22:9; Nm 1:51)23But the Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, and among the people of Israel they shall have no inheritance. (Nm 3:7; Nm 18:1)24For the tithe of the people of Israel, which they present as a contribution to the LORD, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said of them that they shall have no inheritance among the people of Israel.” (Nm 18:21; Nm 18:26; Nm 18:29)25And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,26“Moreover, you shall speak and say to the Levites, ‘When you take from the people of Israel the tithe that I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present a contribution from it to the LORD, a tithe of the tithe. (Ne 10:38)27And your contribution shall be counted to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress. (Nm 18:30)28So you shall also present a contribution to the LORD from all your tithes, which you receive from the people of Israel. And from it you shall give the LORD’s contribution to Aaron the priest.29Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the LORD; from each its best part is to be dedicated.’30Therefore you shall say to them, ‘When you have offered from it the best of it, then the rest shall be counted to the Levites as produce of the threshing floor, and as produce of the winepress. (Nm 18:27)31And you may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is your reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting. (Mt 10:10; Lc 10:7; 1 Co 9:4; 1 Tm 5:17; 1 Tm 5:18)32And you shall bear no sin by reason of it, when you have contributed the best of it. But you shall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, lest you die.’” (Lv 19:8; Lv 22:2; Lv 22:15; Lv 22:16)
