Escucho un idioma que no entiendo:6«Te he quitado la carga de los hombros; tus manos se han librado del pesado cesto.7En tu angustia me llamaste, y te libré; oculto en el nubarrón te respondí; en las aguas de Meribá te puse a prueba. Selah8»Escucha, pueblo mío, mis advertencias; ¡ay Israel, si tan sólo me escucharas!9No tendrás ningún dios extranjero, ni te inclinarás ante ningún dios extraño.10Yo soy el Señor tu Dios, que te sacó de la tierra de Egipto. Abre bien la boca, y te la llenaré.11»Pero mi pueblo no me escuchó; Israel no quiso hacerme caso.12Por eso los abandoné a su obstinada voluntad, para que actuaran como mejor les pareciera.13»Si mi pueblo tan sólo me escuchara, si Israel quisiera andar por mis caminos,14¡cuán pronto sometería yo a sus enemigos, y volvería mi mano contra sus adversarios!15Los que aborrecen al Señor se rendirían ante él, pero serían eternamente castigados.16Y a ti te alimentaría con lo mejor del trigo; con miel de la peña te saciaría.»
