1Numele semințiilor moștenitoare sunt acestea: de la marginea de nord, de‑a lungul drumului spre Hetlon, de la Lebo-Hamat[1] spre Hațar-Enan, până la hotarul de nord al Damascului dinspre Hamat, din partea de răsărit până în apus, să fie o parte pentru Dan.2De la hotarul cu Dan, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Așer.3De la hotarul cu Așer, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Neftali.4De la hotarul cu Neftali, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Manase.5De la hotarul cu Manase, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Efraim.6De la hotarul cu Efraim, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Ruben.7De la hotarul cu Ruben, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie o parte pentru Iuda.8De la hotarul cu Iuda, din partea de răsărit până în partea de apus, să fie ținutul pe care să‑l aduceți drept contribuție prin ridicare. Să aibă douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți[2] lățime, iar lungimea lui să fie cât una din părțile de la răsărit la apus. Sfântul Lăcaș să fie în mijlocul lui. (Ez 40:5)9Ținutul pe care îl veți aduce DOMNULUI drept contribuție prin ridicare să aibă lungimea de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți și lățimea de zece mii de coți[3].10Acest ținut sfânt să fie al preoților: în nord să aibă o lungime de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți, în apus să aibă o lățime de zece mii de coți, în răsărit tot zece mii de coți, iar în sud o lungime de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți. Sfântul Lăcaș al DOMNULUI să fie în mijlocul lui.11El să fie pentru preoții consacrați[4], dintre urmașii lui Țadok, care au păzit îndatoririle Mele și nu s‑au dus în rătăcire ca leviții, atunci când fiii lui Israel rătăceau departe de Mine.12Să fie al lor, ca un dar din suprafața sfântă a țării, un loc preasfânt lângă hotarul leviților.13Leviții să aibă o parte lângă hotarul preoților, de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți lungime și de zece mii de coți lățime; pe toată lungimea să fie de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți și pe lățime să fie de zece mii de coți.14Nu vor putea să vândă sau să schimbe și nici să înstrăineze această cea mai bună parte a țării, căci este sfântă pentru DOMNUL.15Suprafața rămasă, adică cinci mii de coți[5] pe lățime și douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți pe lungime, să fie dată ca loc pentru folosul cetății, pentru locuințe și pentru pășune. Cetatea să fie în mijlocul ei.16Iată care să‑i fie măsurile: în partea de nord – patru mii cinci sute de coți[6], în partea de sud – patru mii cinci sute, în partea de răsărit – patru mii cinci sute și în partea de apus – patru mii cinci sute.17Pășunea pentru cetate să fie de două sute cincizeci de coți[7] în partea de nord, două sute cincizeci în partea de sud, două sute cincizeci în partea de răsărit și două sute cincizeci în partea de apus.18Pământul care mai rămâne pe lungime, alături de ținutul sfânt, va fi de zece mii de coți în partea de răsărit și zece mii în partea de apus, de‑a lungul ținutului sfânt. Venitul lui să fie folosit pentru hrana lucrătorilor cetății.19Lucrătorii cetății, din toate semințiile lui Israel, îl vor munci.20Tot ținutul să fie de douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți lungime și douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți lățime. Să puneți deoparte ținutul sfânt, alături de proprietatea cetății.21Ceea ce mai rămâne de‑o parte și de alta a ținutului sfânt și a proprietății cetății să fie a prințului, de‑a lungul celor douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți ai ținutului sfânt până la hotarul de răsărit, iar în apus, de‑a lungul celor douăzeci și cinci de mii de coți până la hotarul de apus, mergând în paralel cu proprietățile semințiilor. Aceste suprafețe vor fi ale prințului. Ținutul sfânt și Sanctuarul Casei să fie în mijlocul lor.22Astfel, proprietatea leviților și proprietatea cetății vor fi în mijlocul proprietății prințului. Tot ținutul dintre hotarul lui Iuda și hotarul lui Beniamin să fie al prințului.23Iată celelalte seminții moștenitoare: de la răsărit la apus, o parte să fie pentru Beniamin.24De la hotarul cu Beniamin, de la răsărit la apus, să fie o parte pentru Simeon.25De la hotarul cu Simeon, de la răsărit la apus, să fie o parte pentru Isahar.26De la hotarul cu Isahar, de la răsărit la apus, să fie o parte pentru Zabulon.27De la hotarul cu Zabulon, de la răsărit la apus, să fie o parte pentru Gad.28De la hotarul lui Gad, în partea de sud, hotarul să meargă spre sud, de la Tamar înspre apele de la Meribat-Kadeș și apoi de‑a lungul Râului Egiptului[8] până la Marea cea Mare[9]. (Ez 47:19)29Aceasta este țara pe care va trebui s‑o împărțiți ca moștenire semințiilor lui Israel și acestea sunt proprietățile lor, zice Stăpânul DOMN.
Porțile Ierusalimului
30Iată care vor fi ieșirile cetății: în partea de nord, care măsoară patru mii cinci sute de coți,31vor fi trei porți (porțile cetății vor purta numele semințiilor lui Israel): o poartă pentru Ruben, o poartă pentru Iuda și o poartă pentru Levi.32În partea de răsărit, care măsoară patru mii cinci sute de coți, vor fi trei porți: o poartă pentru Iosif, o poartă pentru Beniamin și o poartă pentru Dan.33În partea de sud, care măsoară patru mii cinci sute de coți, vor fi trei porți: o poartă pentru Simeon, o poartă pentru Isahar și o poartă pentru Zabulon.34În partea de apus, care măsoară patru mii cinci sute de coți, vor fi trei porți: o poartă pentru Gad, o poartă pentru Așer și o poartă pentru Neftali.35De jur împrejurul cetății vor fi optsprezece mii de coți[10] și, din ziua aceea, numele ei va fi: «DOMNUL este acolo»[11].“

The temple will be in the centre of that strip of land.9‘Give that special share of land to me. It will be 10 miles long and 4 miles wide.10It will be the sacred share of land for the priests. It will be 10 miles long on the north side. It will be 4 miles wide on the west side. It will be 4 miles wide on the east side. And it will be 10 miles long on the south side. My temple will be in the centre of it.11This share of land will be for the priests who are set apart to me. They will come from the family line of Zadok. The members of that family served me faithfully. They did not go astray as the Levites and other Israelites did.12Their share of land will be a special gift to them. It will be part of the sacred share of the land. It will be very holy. Its border will run along the territory of the Levites.13‘The Levites will receive a share. It will be next to the territory of the priests. The Levites’ share will be 10 miles long and 4 miles wide.14They must not sell or trade any of it. It is the best part of the land. It must not be handed over to anyone else. It is set apart to me.15‘The area that remains is 2 miles wide. It is 10 miles long. It will not be holy. The people in Jerusalem can build houses there. They can use some of it as grasslands. The city will be in the centre of it.16Each of the four sides of the city will be 1.75 miles long.17Each of the four sides of the city’s grasslands will be 150 metres long.18What remains of the area will be 4 miles long on the east and west sides. Its border will run along the border of the sacred share. Its crops will supply food for the city workers.19They will farm the area. They will come from all the tribes of Israel.20The entire area will be a square. Each of its four sides will be 10 miles long. Set the sacred share apart as a special gift to me. Do the same thing with the property of the city.21‘The area that remains on both sides will belong to the prince. So his land does not include the sacred share and the property of the city. The eastern part of his land will reach from the sacred share all the way to the eastern border. The western part will reach from the sacred share to the western border. The sacred share itself is 10 miles long on its east and west sides. Both of those areas will be right next to the borders of the two tribes on the north and south sides. They will belong to the prince. The sacred share will be in the centre of them. It will have the temple in it.22The property of the Levites will lie in the centre of the prince’s share. So will the property of the city. The prince’s land will lie between the borders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin.23‘Here is the land for the rest of the tribes. ‘Benjamin will receive one share. It will reach from the eastern border to the western border.24Simeon will receive one share. It will border the territory of Benjamin from east to west.25Issachar will receive one share. It will border the territory of Simeon from east to west.26Zebulun will receive one share. It will border the territory of Issachar from east to west.27Gad will receive one share. It will border the territory of Zebulun from east to west.28The southern border of Gad will run south from Tamar to the waters of Meribah Kadesh. It will continue along the Wadi of Egypt. It will end at the Mediterranean Sea.29‘This is the land you must divide among the tribes of Israel. And these will be the shares they will receive,’ announces the LORD and King.
The gates of the new city
30‘Here is a list of the gates of the city. ‘Start with its north side. It will be 1.75 miles long.31The city gates will be named after the tribes of Israel. The north side will have three gates. They will be the gates of Reuben, Judah and Levi.32The east side will be 1.75 miles long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Joseph, Benjamin and Dan.33The south side will be 1.75 miles long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Simeon, Issachar and Zebulun.34The west side will be 1.75 miles long. It will have three gates. They will be the gates of Gad, Asher and Naphtali.35‘The city will be 6.5 miles round. ‘From that time on, its name will be “The LORD Is There.” ’
