1Dumnezeule, ne‑ai respins, Te‑ai dezlănțuit împotriva noastră, Te‑ai mâniat! Acum, întoarce‑Te la noi![1] (Ps 16:1)2Ai cutremurat țara și ai despicat‑o. Vindecă‑i fisurile, căci se clatină!3Ai făcut ca poporul Tău să vadă vremuri grele; ne‑ai dat să bem vin amețitor.4Pentru cei ce se tem de Tine însă ai ridicat un steag, sub care să se strângă[4] împotriva arcului[5]. Selah5Pentru ca preaiubiții Tăi să fie salvați, izbăvește prin dreapta Ta și răspunde‑mi!6Dumnezeu a vorbit din Lăcașul Său[6]: „Voi triumfa, voi împărți Șehemul și voi măsura valea Sucot.7Al Meu este Ghiladul, al Meu este și Manase. Efraim este coiful[7] capului Meu, iar Iuda – sceptrul Meu.8Moab este vasul în care Mă spăl. Deasupra Edomului Îmi arunc încălțările, iar strigătele Mele de triumf se aud peste Filistia.“9Cine mă va conduce în cetatea fortificată? Cine mă va călăuzi până în Edom?10Oare nu Tu, Dumnezeule, ne‑ai respins? Dumnezeule, nu vei mai ieși cu oștirile noastre?11Dă‑ne ajutor împotriva vrăjmașului, căci zadarnic este ajutorul omului.12Cu Dumnezeu vom lupta vitejește, și El îi va călca în picioare pe vrăjmașii noștri.
