1 DOAMNE, inima mea nu este trufașă, iar ochii mei nu sunt semeți. Nu umblu după lucruri prea mari și prea mărețe pentru mine. 

2 Dimpotrivă, mi‑am culcat și mi‑am liniștit sufletul, ca un copil înțărcat lângă mama lui; sufletul îmi este ca un copil înțărcat. 

3 Israel, nădăjduiește în DOMNUL, de acum și până‑n veci!

I Have Calmed and Quieted My Soul

1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. (Iov 42:3; Ps 101:5; Ps 120:1; Ps 138:6; Is 57:15; Ier 45:5; Ro 12:16) 

2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. (Mat 18:3; 1 Cor 14:20) 

3 O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. (Ps 130:7)
