1 În strâmtorarea mea strig către DOMNUL, și El îmi răspunde.^[1] (Ps 135:1) 2 DOAMNE, scapă‑mi sufletul de buzele mincinoase și de limba înșelătoare! 3 Ce‑ți va da El ție, ce‑ți va aduce El, limbă înșelătoare? 4 Săgețile ascuțite ale unui viteaz, cu cărbuni de verigel^[2]. (Iov 30:4) 5 Vai de mine, căci locuiesc la Meșek, sălășluiesc în corturile din Chedar! 6 Mult mi‑a mai locuit sufletul împreună cu cei ce urăsc pacea! 7 Eu sunt pentru pace, dar când vorbesc eu, ei sunt pentru război.

Deliver Me, O Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. (Ex 34:24; 1 Re 12:27; Is 30:29) 2 Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue? (1 Sam 3:17) 4 A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree! (Ps 45:5; Ps 127:4; Ps 140:10; Prov 25:22; Ier 50:9)
