9Străduiește‑te să vii la mine cât de repede!10Demas, din dragoste pentru veacul de acum, m‑a părăsit și s‑a dus la Tesalonic. Crescens s‑a dus în Galatia, iar Titus în Dalmația[4].11Numai Luca este cu mine. Ia‑l pe Marcu și adu‑l cu tine, pentru că îmi este de folos în slujire.12Pe Tyhikos l‑am trimis la Efes.13Când vii, adu și mantaua pe care am lăsat‑o în Troa, la Karpos, precum și sulurile, mai ales[5] pergamentele.14Alexandru, căldărarul, mi‑a făcut mult rău. Domnul îl va răsplăti după faptele lui.15Păzește‑te și tu de el, pentru că s‑a împotrivit foarte tare cuvintelor noastre.16La primul meu răspuns de apărare, nimeni nu a stat alături de mine, ci toți m‑au părăsit. Să nu li se ia în considerare lucrul acesta!17Însă Domnul a stat lângă mine și m‑a întărit, pentru ca, prin mine, proclamarea Evangheliei să fie dusă la îndeplinire și toate neamurile s‑o audă. Și am fost scăpat din gura leului[6]!18Domnul mă va scăpa de orice lucru rău și mă va mântui pentru Împărăția Lui cerească. A Lui să fie slava, în vecii vecilor! Amin.19Salută‑i pe Prisca[7] și Akyla și pe cei din casa lui Onisifor!20Erastos a rămas în Corint, iar pe Trofimos l‑am lăsat bolnav în Milet.21Străduiește‑te să vii înainte de iarnă.
