Noah’s Descendants
18The sons of Noah who went forth from the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) (Gen 5,32; Gen 10,1)19These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the people of the whole earth were dispersed.[2] (Gen 10,32)20Noah began to be a man of the soil, and he planted a vineyard.[3]21He drank of the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent.22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside.23Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Los hijos de Noé
18Los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam, que fue el padre de Canaán, y Jafet.19Éstos fueron los tres hijos de Noé que con su descendencia poblaron toda la tierra.20Noé se dedicó a cultivar la tierra, y plantó una viña.21Un día, bebió vino y se embriagó, quedándose desnudo dentro de su carpa.22Cam, el padre de Canaán, vio a su padre desnudo y fue a contárselo a sus hermanos, que estaban afuera.23Entonces Sem y Jafet tomaron un manto, se lo echaron sobre los hombros, y caminando hacia atrás, cubrieron la desnudez de su padre. Como miraban en dirección opuesta, no lo vieron desnudo.24Cuando Noé despertó de su borrachera y se enteró de lo que su hijo menor le había hecho,25declaró: «¡Maldito sea Canaán!
