Saul attenta alla vita di Davide; fuga di Davide

1 Saul confidò a Gionatan, suo figlio, e a tutti i suoi servitori che voleva uccidere Davide. Ma Gionatan, figlio di Saul, che voleva un gran bene a Davide, 2 informò Davide della cosa e gli disse: «Saul, mio padre, cerca di ucciderti; quindi ti prego, sta’ in guardia domani mattina, tieniti in un luogo segreto e nasconditi. 3 Io uscirò e mi terrò al fianco di mio padre, nel campo dove tu sarai; parlerò di te a mio padre, vedrò come vanno le cose e te lo farò sapere». 4 Gionatan dunque parlò a Saul, suo padre, in favore di Davide e gli disse: «Non pecchi il re contro il suo servo, contro Davide, poiché egli non ha peccato contro di te, anzi il suo servizio ti è stato di grande utilità. 5 Egli ha rischiato la propria vita, ha ucciso il Filisteo e il Signore ha operato una grande liberazione in favore di tutto Israele. Tu l’hai visto e te ne sei rallegrato; perché dunque peccare contro il sangue innocente, uccidendo Davide senza ragione?» 6 Saul diede ascolto alla voce di Gionatan e fece questo giuramento: «Com’è vero che il Signore vive, egli non sarà ucciso!» 7 Allora Gionatan chiamò Davide e gli riferì tutto questo. Poi Gionatan ricondusse Davide da Saul. Egli rimase al suo servizio come prima. 8 Ricominciò di nuovo la guerra e Davide uscì a combattere contro i Filistei, inflisse loro una grave sconfitta e quelli fuggirono davanti a lui. 9 Allora uno spirito cattivo, permesso dal Signore, s’impossessò di Saul. Egli sedeva in casa sua tenendo in mano una lancia, mentre Davide suonava l’arpa. 10 Allora Saul cercò di inchiodare Davide al muro con la lancia, ma Davide schivò il colpo e la lancia andò a conficcarsi nel muro. Davide fuggì e si mise in salvo quella stessa notte. 11 Saul inviò degli uomini a casa di Davide per tenerlo d’occhio e ucciderlo la mattina dopo; ma Mical, moglie di Davide, lo informò della cosa, dicendo: «Se questa stessa notte non ti metti in salvo, domani sarai morto». 12 Mical calò Davide da una finestra ed egli se ne andò, fuggì e si mise in salvo. 13 Poi Mical prese l’idolo domestico e lo pose nel letto; gli mise in capo un cappuccio di pelo di capra e lo coprì con un mantello. 14 Quando Saul inviò degli uomini a prendere Davide, lei disse: «È malato». 15 Allora Saul inviò di nuovo i suoi uomini perché vedessero Davide, e disse loro: «Portatemelo nel letto, perché possa ucciderlo». 16 Quando giunsero quegli uomini, ecco che nel letto c’era l’idolo domestico con in testa un cappuccio di pelo di capra. 17 Saul disse a Mical: «Perché mi hai ingannato così e hai dato al mio nemico la possibilità di fuggire?» Mical rispose a Saul: «È lui che mi ha detto: “Lasciami andare, altrimenti ti ammazzo!”». 18 Davide dunque fuggì, si mise in salvo, andò da Samuele a Rama e gli raccontò tutto quello che Saul gli aveva fatto. Poi egli e Samuele andarono a stare a Naiot. 19 Questo fu riferito a Saul, dicendo: «Ecco, Davide è a Naiot, presso Rama». 20 Saul inviò i suoi uomini a prendere Davide, ma quando questi videro profetizzare i profeti, riuniti sotto la presidenza di Samuele, lo Spirito di Dio investì gli inviati di Saul che si misero anche loro a profetizzare. 21 Ne informarono Saul, che inviò altri uomini, i quali pure si misero a profetizzare. Saul ne mandò ancora per la terza volta, ma anche questi si misero a profetizzare. 22 Allora si recò egli stesso a Rama. Giunto alla grande cisterna che è a Secu, chiese: «Dove sono Samuele e Davide?» Gli fu risposto: «A Naiot, presso Rama». 23 Egli andò dunque là, a Naiot, presso Rama. Lo Spirito di Dio investì anche lui ed egli continuò il suo viaggio profetizzando finché giunse a Naiot, presso Rama. 24 Anche lui si spogliò delle sue vesti, anche lui profetizzò in presenza di Samuele e rimase steso a terra nudo tutto quel giorno e tutta quella notte. Da lì viene il detto: «Saul, è anche lui tra i profeti?»

1 Saul aber redete mit seinem Sohn Jonatan und mit allen seinen Knechten davon, dass er David töten wolle. Aber Jonatan, Sauls Sohn, hatte David sehr lieb. (1Sam 18,3) 2 Und Jonatan sagte es ihm weiter und sprach: Mein Vater Saul trachtet danach, dass er dich töte. Nun, so hüte dich morgen früh und bleib verborgen und verstecke dich. 3 Ich aber will hinausgehen und mich neben meinen Vater stellen auf dem Felde, wo du bist, und über dich mit meinem Vater reden; und was ich erfahre, will ich dir kundtun. 4 Und Jonatan redete das Beste von David mit seinem Vater Saul und sprach zu ihm: Es versündige sich der König nicht an seinem Knechte David, denn er hat sich nicht an dir versündigt, und sein Tun ist dir sehr nützlich. 5 Er hat sein Leben gewagt und den Philister erschlagen, und der HERR hat großes Heil für ganz Israel vollbracht. Das hast du gesehen und dich darüber gefreut. Warum willst du dich denn an unschuldigem Blut versündigen, dass du David ohne Grund tötest? (1Sam 17,50) 6 Da hörte Saul auf die Stimme Jonatans und schwor: So wahr der HERR lebt: Er soll nicht sterben! 7 Da rief Jonatan David und sagte ihm alle diese Worte und brachte ihn zu Saul; und David diente ihm wie früher.

Michal rettet David

8 Es erhob sich aber wieder ein Kampf, und David zog aus und kämpfte gegen die Philister und schlug sie so hart, dass sie vor ihm flohen. 9 Aber der böse Geist vom HERRN kam über Saul, und Saul saß in seinem Hause und hatte seinen Spieß in der Hand. David aber spielte mit der Hand auf den Saiten. (1Sam 16,14; 1Sam 16,23; 1Sam 18,10) 10 Und Saul trachtete danach, David mit dem Spieß an die Wand zu spießen. Er aber wich aus vor Saul, und der Spieß fuhr in die Wand. David aber floh und entrann in jener Nacht. 11 Saul sandte aber Boten zu Davids Haus, ihn zu bewachen und am Morgen zu töten. Doch Michal, Davids Frau, sagte es ihrem Mann und sprach: Wirst du nicht diese Nacht dein Leben retten, so musst du morgen sterben. (Sal 59,1) 12 Da ließ ihn Michal durchs Fenster hinab, dass er hinging, entfloh und entrann. (Gios 2,15) 13 Dann nahm Michal den Hausgott und legte ihn aufs Bett und ein Geflecht von Ziegenhaaren zu seinen Häupten und deckte ihn mit einem Kleid zu. (Gen 31,19) 14 Da sandte Saul Boten, David zu holen. Sie aber sprach: Er ist krank. 15 Saul sandte abermals Boten, nach David zu sehen, und sprach: Bringt ihn her zu mir samt dem Bett, dass er getötet werde! 16 Als nun die Boten kamen, siehe, da lag der Hausgott im Bett und das Geflecht von Ziegenhaaren zu seinen Häupten. 17 Da sprach Saul zu Michal: Warum hast du mich so betrogen und meinen Feind entrinnen lassen? Michal sprach zu Saul: Er sagte zu mir: Lass mich gehen oder ich töte dich!

David flieht zu Samuel

18 David aber war geflohen und entrann und kam zu Samuel nach Rama und sagte ihm alles, was ihm Saul angetan hatte. Und er ging mit Samuel, und sie blieben zu Najot. 19 Und es wurde Saul angesagt: Siehe, David ist zu Najot in Rama. 20 Da sandte Saul Boten, um David zu holen. Und sie sahen die Schar der Propheten in Verzückung und Samuel an ihrer Spitze. Da kam der Geist Gottes auf die Boten Sauls, dass auch sie in Verzückung gerieten. (Nu 11,25; 1Sam 10,10) 21 Als das Saul angesagt wurde, sandte er andere Boten; die gerieten auch in Verzückung. Da sandte Saul zum dritten Mal Boten; die gerieten auch in Verzückung. 22 Da ging er selbst nach Rama. Und als er zum großen Brunnen kam, der in Sechu ist, fragte er: Wo sind Samuel und David? Da wurde ihm gesagt: Siehe, zu Najot in Rama. 23 Und er ging dorthin nach Najot in Rama. Und der Geist Gottes kam auch über ihn, und er ging einher in Verzückung, bis er nach Najot in Rama kam. 24 Da zog auch er seine Kleider aus und war in Verzückung vor Samuel und fiel hin und lag nackt den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht. Daher sagt man: Ist Saul auch unter den Propheten?

1 And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David. 2 But Jonathan Saul' son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place , and hide thyself: 3 And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art , and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee. 4 And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good: 5 For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it , and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause? 6 And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain. 7 And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past. 8 And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him. 9 And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand. 10 And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul' presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night. 11 Saul also sent messengers unto David' house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David' wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain. 12 So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped. 13 And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats'hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth. 14 And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick. 15 And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him. 16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats'hair for his bolster. 17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee? 18 So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth. 19 And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah. 20 And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. 21 And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also. 22 Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah. 23 And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24 And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Saúl intenta matar a David

1 Saúl les comunicó a su hijo Jonatán y a todos sus funcionarios su decisión de matar^[1] a David. Pero como Jonatán le tenía tanto afecto a David, 2 le advirtió: «Mi padre Saúl está buscando una oportunidad para matarte. Así que ten mucho cuidado mañana; escóndete en algún sitio seguro, y quédate allí. 3 Yo saldré con mi padre al campo donde tú estés, y le hablaré de ti. Cuando averigüe lo que pasa, te lo haré saber.» 4 Jonatán le habló a su padre Saúl en favor de David: —¡No vaya Su Majestad a hacerle daño a su siervo David! —le rogó—. Él no le ha hecho ningún mal; al contrario, lo que ha hecho ha sido de gran beneficio para Su Majestad. 5 Para matar al filisteo arriesgó su propia vida, y el Señor le dio una gran victoria a todo Israel. Su Majestad mismo lo vio y se alegró. ¿Por qué ha de hacerle daño a un inocente y matar a David sin motivo? 6 Saúl le hizo caso a Jonatán, y exclamó: —Tan cierto como que el Señor vive, te juro que David no morirá. 7 Entonces Jonatán llamó a David y, después de contarle toda la conversación, lo llevó ante Saúl para que estuviera a su servicio como antes. 8 Volvió a estallar la guerra. David salió a pelear contra los filisteos, y los combatió con tal violencia que tuvieron que huir. 9 Sin embargo, un espíritu maligno de parte del Señor se apoderó de Saúl. Estaba sentado en el palacio, con una lanza en la mano. Mientras David tocaba el arpa, 10 intentó clavarlo en la pared con la lanza, pero David esquivó el golpe de Saúl, de modo que la lanza quedó clavada en la pared. Esa misma noche David se dio a la fuga. 11 Entonces Saúl mandó a varios hombres a casa de David, para que lo vigilaran durante la noche y lo mataran al día siguiente. Pero se encontraron con un grupo de profetas, dirigidos por Samuel, que estaban profetizando. Entonces el Espíritu de Dios vino con poder sobre los hombres de Saúl, y también ellos cayeron en trance profético. 21 Al oír la noticia, Saúl envió otro grupo, pero ellos también cayeron en trance. Luego mandó un tercer grupo, y les pasó lo mismo. 22 Por fin, Saúl en persona fue a Ramá y llegó al gran pozo que está en Secú. —¿Dónde están Samuel y David? —preguntó. —En Nayot de Ramá —alguien le respondió. 23 Saúl se dirigió entonces hacia allá, pero el Espíritu de Dios vino con poder también sobre él, y Saúl estuvo en trance profético por todo el camino, hasta llegar a Nayot de Ramá. 24 Luego se quitó la ropa y, desnudo y en el suelo, estuvo en trance en presencia de Samuel todo el día y toda la noche. De ahí viene el dicho: «¿Acaso también Saúl es uno de los profetas?»
