Salmo 66

1 Al direttore del coro. Canto. Salmo.

(Sal 31,22)

Salmo 66

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth; (Sal 81,1; Sal 95,1; Sal 98,4; Sal 100,1)2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! (Gios 7,19; Is 42,12)3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. (Sal 18,44; Sal 65,5)4 All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah (Sal 22,27)5 Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man. (Sal 3,1; Sal 46,8; Sal 66,16)6 He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him, (Eso 14,21; Gios 3,14; Sal 74,15)7 who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah (Sal 11,4)8 Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,9 who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. (Sal 121,3)10 For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. (Giob 23,10)11 You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; (Lam 1,13; Ez 12,13)12 you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance. (Is 43,2; Is 51,23)13 I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you, (Sal 50,14)14 that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble. (Sal 18,6)15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. (Sal 34,11; Sal 66,5)17 I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on[1] my tongue.[2]18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. (Giob 27,9; Giob 36,21; Prov 28,9; Is 59,2; Giov 9,31; Giac 4,3)19 But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. (Sal 116,1; Sal 116,2)20 Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!

Salmo 66

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.6 He turned the sea into dry land : they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place .13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me :19 But verily God hath heard me ; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
