1 Alleluia. Anima mia, loda il Signore. 2 Io loderò il Signore finché vivrò, salmeggerò al mio Dio finché esisterò. 3 Non confidate nei prìncipi, né in alcun figlio d’uomo, che non può salvare. 4 Il suo fiato se ne va, ed egli ritorna alla sua terra; in quel giorno periscono i suoi progetti. 5 Beato colui che ha per aiuto il Dio di Giacobbe e la cui speranza è nel Signore, suo Dio, 6 che ha fatto il cielo e la terra, il mare e tutto ciò che è in essi; che mantiene la fedeltà in eterno, 7 che rende giustizia agli oppressi, che dà il cibo agli affamati. Il Signore libera i prigionieri, 8 il Signore apre gli occhi ai ciechi, il Signore rialza gli oppressi, il Signore ama i giusti, 9 il Signore protegge i forestieri, sostenta l’orfano e la vedova, ma sconvolge la via degli empi. 10 Il Signore regna per sempre; il tuo Dio, o Sion, regna per ogni età. Alleluia.

1 Halleluja! Lobe den HERRN, meine Seele! (Sal 103,1) 2 Loben will ich den HERRN mein Leben lang, will spielen meinem Gott, solange ich bin. (Sal 104,33; Sal 145,1) 3 Vertraut nicht auf Edle, auf einen Menschensohn, bei dem keine Rettung ist! (Sal 118,8; Ger 17,5) 4 Sein Geist geht aus, er kehrt wieder zu seiner Erde: am selben Tag gehen seine Pläne verloren. (Sal 145,14; Mat 9,30; Lu 13,13; Giov 9,32; At 26,18) 9 Der HERR behütet die Fremdlinge, Waisen und Witwen hilft er auf; aber er krümmt den Weg der Gottlosen. 1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! (Sal 135,1) 2 I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (Sal 63,4; Sal 104,33; Sal 145,2) 3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. (Sal 60,11; Sal 108,12; Sal 118,8; Sal 118,9; Is 2,22; Ger 17,5) 4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. (Sal 104,29; Ec 12,7) 5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, (Sal 2,12; Sal 119,116; Sal 144,15) 6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; (Sal 100,5; Sal 115,15; Sal 117,2) 7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: 8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous: 9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. 10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations.
