Ezechiele 39

Nuova Riveduta 2006

(Is 54,8; Is 59,21; Ez 36,26; Gioe 3,1; Mi 7,19; Zac 12,10)

Ezechiele 39

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 “And you, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech[1] and Tubal. (Ez 2,1; Ez 13,8; Ez 38,2; Ez 38,3)2 And I will turn you about and drive you forward,[2] and bring you up from the uttermost parts of the north, and lead you against the mountains of Israel. (Ez 6,2; Ez 32,30; Ez 38,4; Ez 38,6; Ez 38,15)3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand, and will make your arrows drop out of your right hand. (Sal 76,3)4 You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your hordes and the peoples who are with you. I will give you to birds of prey of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. (Ez 38,6; Ez 38,9; Ez 38,21; Ez 38,22; Ez 39,2; Ez 39,17)5 You shall fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Lord God. (Ez 17,21)6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the Lord. (Ez 6,7; Ez 27,3; Ez 27,6; Ez 27,15; Ez 28,18; Ez 30,8; Ez 30,14; Ez 30,16; Ez 38,2; Ez 38,8; Ez 38,14; Ez 38,22)7 “And my holy name I will make known in the midst of my people Israel, and I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore. And the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. (Is 45,11; Ez 20,39; Ez 36,23; Ez 39,22)8 Behold, it is coming and it will be brought about, declares the Lord God. That is the day of which I have spoken. (Ez 21,7; Ez 38,17)9 “Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and make fires of the weapons and burn them, shields and bucklers, bow and arrows, clubs[3] and spears; and they will make fires of them for seven years, (1Sam 17,40; Sal 46,9; Is 9,5)10 so that they will not need to take wood out of the field or cut down any out of the forests, for they will make their fires of the weapons. They will seize the spoil of those who despoiled them, and plunder those who plundered them, declares the Lord God. (Is 33,1; Ez 39,9)11 “On that day I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea. It will block the travelers, for there Gog and all his multitude will be buried. It will be called the Valley of Hamon-gog.[4] (Ez 38,2; Ez 39,15)12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land. (De 21,23; Ez 39,14)13 All the people of the land will bury them, and it will bring them renown on the day that I show my glory, declares the Lord God. (Ez 28,22)14 They will set apart men to travel through the land regularly and bury those travelers remaining on the face of the land, so as to cleanse it. At[5] the end of seven months they will make their search. (Ez 39,12)15 And when these travel through the land and anyone sees a human bone, then he shall set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon-gog. (Ez 39,11)16 (Hamonah[6] is also the name of the city.) Thus shall they cleanse the land.17 “As for you, son of man, thus says the Lord God: Speak to the birds of every sort and to all beasts of the field: ‘Assemble and come, gather from all around to the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood. (Is 34,6; Ger 12,9; Ez 2,1; Ez 39,4; So 1,7; Ap 19,17)18 You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth—of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, of bulls, all of them fat beasts of Bashan. (Sal 22,12; Ap 19,18)19 And you shall eat fat till you are filled, and drink blood till you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you.20 And you shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all kinds of warriors,’ declares the Lord God.21 “And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them. (Eso 7,4; Ez 28,22; Ez 36,23; Ez 37,28; Ez 38,23; Ez 39,7; Ez 39,13)22 The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward. (Ez 6,7; Ez 39,28; Gioe 2,27)23 And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they dealt so treacherously with me that I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword. (Le 26,25; De 29,24; De 31,17)24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their transgressions, and hid my face from them. (Ez 18,30)25 “Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name. (Ger 30,3; Ez 5,13; Ez 20,9; Ez 20,40)26 They shall forget their shame and all the treachery they have practiced against me, when they dwell securely in their land with none to make them afraid, (Ez 32,24; Ez 34,25; Ez 34,27; Ez 34,28; Ez 38,8)27 when I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies’ lands, and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations. (Ez 11,17; Ez 20,41; Ez 28,25)28 Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations and then assembled them into their own land. I will leave none of them remaining among the nations anymore. (Ez 39,22)29 And I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord God.” (Ez 39,23; Gioe 2,28)

Ezechiele 39

King James Version

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it , saith the Lord GOD.6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them ; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man' bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies'lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
