(At 15,22; At 16,1; At 17,1; Ro 1,7; 1Co 1,2; 2Te 1,1)
(At 2,24; Ro 5,9; 1Co 1,7; Fili 3,20; 1Te 1,3; 1Te 4,14; 1Te 4,16; 1Te 5,9; Tit 2,13; Eb 9,28; 2P 3,12)

The Thessalonians’ Faith and Example
2We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly[1] mentioning you in our prayers, (Ro 1,8; Ro 1,9; Ef 5,20; 1Te 2,13; 2Ti 1,3)3remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Giov 6,29; Ro 8,25; Ro 15,4; Ga 1,4; Ga 5,6; Col 1,4; 2Te 1,3; 2Te 1,4; 2Te 1,11; 1Ti 1,14; Eb 6,10; Giac 2,22; Ap 2,19)4For we know, brothers[2] loved by God, that he has chosen you, (2Te 2,13; 2P 1,10)5because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. (At 20,18; 1Co 2,4; 2Co 6,6; Col 2,2; 1Te 2,10; 2Te 2,14; 2Te 3,7; Eb 2,3)6And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, (Mat 5,12; At 13,52; At 17,5; 1Co 11,1; Ga 5,22; 1Te 2,14; 2Te 3,7; 2Te 3,9)7so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.8For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything. (Ro 1,8; Ro 10,18; Ro 16,19; 2Te 1,4; 2Te 3,1)9For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, (Giov 17,3; At 14,15; 1Co 12,2; Ga 4,8; 1Te 2,1)10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. (Mat 3,7; At 2,24; Ro 5,9; 1Co 1,7; Col 1,13; 1Te 2,16; 1Te 4,16; 1Te 5,9; 2Te 1,10)

1Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.2We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;3Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;4Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.5For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.6And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:7So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.8For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
