від Biblica1Брати, бажання мого серця й молитва до Бога за ізраїльтян – про їхнє спасіння.2Бо я свідчу їм, що вони ревно ставляться до Бога, але без належного пізнання.3Оскільки, не знаючи Божої праведності й намагаючись встановити власну, вони не підкорилися Божій праведності.4Бо Христос є метою Закону[1] для виправдання кожного, хто вірить.5Мойсей пише про праведність від Закону: «Людина, яка виконуватиме його настанови, буде жити ними».[2]6Але про праведність від віри говорить: «Не кажи у своєму серці: „Хто зійде на небо?“[3] (щоб привести Христа додолу)7або „Хто зійде в безодню?“[4] (щоб Христа воскресити з мертвих)».8Але що каже Писання? «Слово біля тебе, у твоїх устах і у твоєму серці».[5] Це слова віри, яку ми проповідуємо.9Якщо ти визнаєш устами, що Ісус є Господом, і повіриш своїм серцем, що Бог воскресив Його з мертвих, то будеш спасенний.10Бо серцем віримо для виправдання, а устами проголошуємо для спасіння.11Як говорить Святе Письмо: «Кожен, хто вірить у Нього, не буде осоромлений».[6]12Адже немає різниці між юдеєм та язичником: Той Самий Господь над усіма, щедро благословляє всіх, хто кличе Його,13бо«кожний, хто прикличе ім’я Господнє, буде спасенний».[7]14Але як зможуть покликати Того, у Кого не повірили? І як зможуть повірити в Того, про Кого не чули? І як зможуть почути без проповідника?15І як будуть проповідувати, якщо їх не буде послано? Як написано: «Які гарні ноги тих, хто приносить Добру Звістку!»[8]16Однак не всі сприйняли Добру Звістку. Бо Ісая каже: «Господи, хто повірив почутому від нас?»[9]17Тож віра приходить від слухання, а слухання – через Слово Христа.18Але я запитую: невже вони не чули? Навпаки! «По всій землі розходиться їхній голос, і до краю всесвіту – їхні слова».[10] (Пс 18:5)19Ще раз запитую: хіба Ізраїль не знав? Першим говорить Мойсей: «Я спонукаю вас до ревнощів через тих, хто не є народом; через народ, який не має розуміння, роздратую вас».[11]20А Ісая сміливо каже: «Мене знайшли ті, хто не шукав; Я відкрив Себе тим, хто не питав про Мене».[12]21А про Ізраїль він каже: «Цілий день Я простягав Свої руки до непокірного й впертого народу».[13]

від Biblica1Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.2For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.3Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.4Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.5Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: ‘The person who does these things will live by them.’ (Лев 18:5)6But the righteousness that is by faith says: ‘Do not say in your heart, “Who will ascend into heaven?” ’ (that is, to bring Christ down) (Повт 30:12)7‘or “Who will descend into the deep?” ’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). For Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our message?’ (Іс 53:1)17Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.18But I ask: did they not hear? Of course they did: ‘Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.’ (Пс 19:4)19Again I ask: did Israel not understand?
