1 As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. 2 For he says, ‘In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation. (Isa 49:8)

Paul’s hardships

3 We put no stumbling-block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; 5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; 6 in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; 7 in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; 8 through glory and dishonour, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; 10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. 11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. 12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. 13 As a fair exchange – I speak as to my children – open wide your hearts also.

Warning against idolatry

14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial^[1]? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’^[2] (Le 26:12; Jer 32:38; Eze 37:27) 17 Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.’^[3] (Isa 52:11; Eze 20:34; Eze 20:41) 18 And, ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’ (2Sa 7:8; 2Sa 7:14)

1 Als Mitarbeiter Gottes ermahnen wir euch, die Gnade Gottes nicht vergeblich empfangen zu haben, 2 denn er sagt: "Ich habe dich rechtzeitig erhört, und am Tag der Rettung habe ich dir geholfen." Seht doch! Diese Zeit ist jetzt da. Gekommen ist der Rettungstag! (Isa 49:8) 3 Und wir geben in keiner Hinsicht irgendeinen Anstoß, damit dieser Dienst nicht in schlechten Ruf gerät, 4 sondern wir empfehlen uns in allem als Diener Gottes: durch große Standhaftigkeit in Bedrückungen, Notlagen und Ängsten, 5 bei Schlägen, in Gefängnissen und unter aufgehetztem Volk, bei mühevoller Arbeit, in Wachen und Fasten, 6 in Reinheit, Verständnis, Geduld und Güte, durch Heiligen Geist und ungeheuchelte Liebe, 7 im Reden der Wahrheit und in der Kraft Gottes, im Gebrauch der Waffen der Gerechtigkeit zum Angriff und zur Verteidigung, 8 in Ehre und Unehre, bei böser und guter Nachrede, als Verführer verdächtigt und doch wahrhaftig, 9 als Verkannte und Anerkannte, als Sterbende, die doch leben; als misshandelt und nicht getötet; 10 als Traurige, die sich doch allezeit freuen; als Arme, die viele reich machen; als solche, die nichts haben und doch alles besitzen. 11 Wir haben kein Blatt vor den Mund genommen, ihr Korinther, und unser Herz ist weit geöffnet für euch. 12 In uns ist es nicht zu eng für euch, eng ist es nur in eurem Herzen. 13 Als Gegenleistung – ich rede wie zu Kindern – macht auch ihr das Herz weit. 14 Lasst euch nicht mit Ungläubigen in dasselbe Joch spannen. Wie passen denn Gerechtigkeit und Gesetzlosigkeit zusammen? Oder was haben Licht und Finsternis gemeinsam? 15 Welche Übereinstimmung gibt es zwischen Christus und dem Teufel? Was verbindet einen Gläubigen mit einem Ungläubigen? 16 Und wie verträgt sich der Tempel Gottes mit Götzen? Wir sind doch der Tempel des lebendigen Gottes, wie Gott gesagt hat: "Ich werde in ihnen wohnen und unter ihnen sein. Ich bin dann ihr Gott und sie sind mein Volk."^[1] (Le 26:12; Eze 37:27) 17 Darum "zieht weg und trennt euch von ihnen", spricht der Herr, "und rührt nichts Unreines an, dann werde ich euch aufnehmen. 18 Ich werde euer Vater und ihr sollt meine Söhne und Töchter sein", spricht der Herr, der Allmächtige.^[2] (2Sa 7:14; Isa 52:11; Eze 20:40)

1 فَبِمَا أَنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ مَعاً عِنْدَ اللهِ، نَطْلُبُ أَلَّا يَكُونَ قُبُولُكُمْ لِنِعْمَةِ اللهِ عَبَثاً. 2 فَإِنَّهُ يَقُولُ: «فِي وَقْتِ الْقَبُولِ اسْتَجَبْتُ لَكَ، وَفِي يَوْمِ الْخَلاصِ أَعَنْتُكَ». وَالآنَ هُوَ وَقْتُ الْقَبُولِ. الْيَوْمُ يَوْمُ الْخَلاصِ!

3 وَلَسْنَا نَتَصَرَّفُ أَيَّ تَصَرُّفٍ يَكُونُ عَثْرَةً لأَحَدٍ، حَتَّى لَا يَلْحَقَ الْخِدْمَةَ أَيُّ لَوْمٍ. 4 وَإِنَّمَا نَتَصَرَّفُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ بِمَا يُبَيِّنُ أَنَّنَا فِعْلاً خُدَّامُ اللهِ: فِي تَحَمُّلِ الْكَثِيرِ؛ فِي الشَّدَائِدِ وَالْحَاجَاتِ وَالضِّيقَاتِ وَالْجَلْدَاتِ 5 وَالسُّجُونِ وَالاضْطِرَابَاتِ وَالأَتْعَابِ وَالسَّهَرِ وَالصَّوْمِ؛ 6 فِي الطَّهَارَةِ وَالْمَعْرِفَةِ وَطُولِ الْبَالِ وَاللُّطْفِ؛ فِي الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ الْخَالِصَةِ مِنَ الرِّيَاءِ؛ 7 فِي كَلِمَةِ الْحَقِّ وَقُدْرَةِ اللهِ؛ بِأَسْلِحَةِ الْبِرِّ فِي الْهُجُومِ وَالدِّفَاعِ؛ 8 بِالْكَرَامَةِ وَالْهَوَانِ؛ بِالصِّيتِ السَّيِّئِ وَالصِّيتِ الْحَسَنِ. نُعَامَلُ كَمُضَلِّلِينَ وَنَحْنُ صَادِقُونَ، 9 كَمَجْهُولِينَ وَنَحْنُ مَعْرُوفُونَ، كَمَائِتِينَ وَهَا نَحْنُ نَحْيَا، كَمُعَاقَبِينَ وَلا نُقْتَلُ، 10 كَمَحْزُونِينَ وَنَحْنُ دَائِماً فَرِحُونَ، كَفُقَرَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُغْنِي كَثِيرِينَ، كَمَنْ لَا شَيْءَ عِنْدَهُمْ وَنَحْنُ نَمْلِكُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ. 11 إِنَّنَا كَلَّمْنَاكُمْ، يَا أَهْلَ كُورِنْثُوسَ، بِصَرَاحَةِ فَمٍ وَرَحَابَةِ قَلْبٍ. 12 إِنَّكُمْ مُتَضَايِقُونَ، لَا بِسَبَبِنَا بَلْ بِسَبَبِ ضِيقِ عَوَاطِفِكُمْ 13 وَلَكِنْ، عَلَى سَبِيلِ الْمُعَامَلَةِ بِالْمِثْلِ، وَأُخَاطِبُكُمْ كَأَوْلادٍ، لِتَكُنْ قُلُوبُكُمْ أَيْضاً رَحْبَةً!

تحذير من الوثنية

14 لَا تَدْخُلُوا مَعَ غَيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تَحْتَ نِيرٍ وَاحِدٍ. فَأَيُّ ارْتِبَاطٍ بَيْنَ الْبِرِّ وَالإِثْمِ؟ وَأَيَّةُ شَرِكَةٍ بَيْنَ النُّورِ وَالظَّلامِ؟ 15 وَأَيُّ تَحَالُفٍ لِلْمَسِيحِ مَعَ إِبْلِيسَ؟ وَأَيُّ نَصِيبٍ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ مَعَ غَيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ؟ 16 وَأَيُّ وِفَاقٍ لِهَيْكَلِ اللهِ مَعَ الأَصْنَامِ؟ فَإِنَّنَا نَحْنُ هَيْكَلُ اللهِ الْحَيِّ، وَفْقاً لِمَا قَالَهُ اللهُ: «سَأَسْكُنُ فِي وَسَطِهِمْ، وَأَسِيرُ بَيْنَهُمْ، وَأَكُونُ إِلهَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَكُونُونَ شَعْباً لِي». 17 لِذلِكَ «اخْرُجُوا مِنْ وَسْطِهِمْ، وَكُونُوا مُنْفَصِلِينَ»، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ، «وَلا تَلْمَسُوا مَا هُوَ نَجِسٌ، 18 فَأَقْبَلَكُمْ»، وَ«أَكُونَ لَكُمْ أَباً، وَتَكُونُوا لِي بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ»، هَذَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
