1‘Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits[1] high; it is to be square, five cubits long and five cubits wide.[2]2Make a horn at each of the four corners, so that the horns and the altar are of one piece, and overlay the altar with bronze.3Make all its utensils of bronze – its pots to remove the ashes, and its shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks and firepans.4Make a grating for it, a bronze network, and make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the network.5Put it under the ledge of the altar so that it is halfway up the altar.6Make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze.7The poles are to be inserted into the rings so they will be on two sides of the altar when it is carried.8Make the altar hollow, out of boards. It is to be made just as you were shown on the mountain.
The courtyard
9‘Make a courtyard for the tabernacle. The south side shall be a hundred cubits[3] long and is to have curtains of finely twisted linen,10with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.11The north side shall also be a hundred cubits long and is to have curtains, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.12‘The west end of the courtyard shall be fifty cubits[4] wide and have curtains, with ten posts and ten bases.13On the east end, towards the sunrise, the courtyard shall also be fifty cubits wide.14Curtains fifteen cubits[5] long are to be on one side of the entrance, with three posts and three bases,15and curtains fifteen cubits long are to be on the other side, with three posts and three bases.16‘For the entrance to the courtyard, provide a curtain twenty cubits[6] long, of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen – the work of an embroiderer – with four posts and four bases.17All the posts around the courtyard are to have silver bands and hooks, and bronze bases.18The courtyard shall be a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide,[7] with curtains of finely twisted linen five cubits[8] high, and with bronze bases.19All the other articles used in the service of the tabernacle, whatever their function, including all the tent pegs for it and those for the courtyard, are to be of bronze.
Oil for the lampstand
20‘Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning.21In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law, Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance among the Israelites for the generations to come.

(Le 16:18; 1Ki 1:50; Ps 118:27)3Mache auch Töpfe für die Fettasche, Schaufeln, Schalen, Gabeln, Kohlenpfannen; alle seine Geräte sollst du aus Bronze machen.4Du sollst auch ein Gitterwerk aus Bronze machen wie ein Netz und vier Ringe aus Bronze an seine vier Enden.5Du sollst es aber unter die Einfassung des Altars legen, von unten her, und das Gitterwerk soll bis zur halben Höhe des Altars reichen.6Und du sollst zu dem Altar auch Stangen machen aus Akazienholz, mit Bronze überzogen.7Und man soll die Stangen in die Ringe tun, dass die Stangen an beiden Seiten des Altars seien, wenn man ihn trägt.8Als einen Kasten von Brettern sollst du ihn machen, dass er inwendig hohl sei, wie er dir auf dem Berge gezeigt wurde. (Ex 26:30)
Der Vorhof
9Du sollst einen Vorhof für die Wohnung machen, Behänge von gezwirntem feinem Leinen, für eine Seite hundert Ellen lang, für die Südseite, (Ex 38:9)10und zwanzig Säulen auf zwanzig Füßen von Bronze und ihre Nägel und ihre Ringbänder von Silber.11Ebenso sollen an der Nordseite Behänge sein, hundert Ellen lang, und zwanzig Säulen auf zwanzig Füßen von Bronze und ihre Nägel und ihre Ringbänder von Silber.12Und nach Westen soll die Breite des Vorhofes Behänge haben, fünfzig Ellen lang, zehn Säulen auf zehn Füßen.13Nach Osten aber soll die Breite des Vorhofes fünfzig Ellen haben,14fünfzehn Ellen Behänge auf einer Seite, dazu drei Säulen auf drei Füßen,15und wieder fünfzehn Ellen auf der andern Seite, dazu drei Säulen auf drei Füßen.16Und in dem Tor des Vorhofes soll eine Decke sein, zwanzig Ellen breit, gewirkt aus blauem und rotem Purpur, Karmesin und gezwirntem feinem Leinen, dazu vier Säulen auf ihren vier Füßen.17Alle Säulen um den Vorhof her sollen silberne Ringbänder und silberne Nägel und Füße aus Bronze haben.18Die Länge des Vorhofes soll hundert Ellen sein, die Breite fünfzig Ellen, die Höhe fünf Ellen, und alle Behänge sollen von gezwirntem feinem Leinen sein und seine Füße aus Bronze.19Alle Geräte der Wohnung für den gesamten Dienst und alle ihre Pflöcke und alle Pflöcke des Vorhofes sollen aus Bronze sein.
Das Öl für den Leuchter
20Gebiete den Israeliten, dass sie zu dir bringen das allerreinste Öl aus zerstoßenen Oliven für den Leuchter, dass man eine Lampe aufsetzen kann, die ständig brennt. (Le 24:2)21In der Stiftshütte, außen vor dem Vorhang, der vor der Lade mit dem Gesetz hängt, sollen Aaron und seine Söhne den Leuchter zurichten, dass er brenne vom Abend bis zum Morgen vor dem HERRN. Das soll eine ewige Ordnung sein für ihre Nachkommen bei den Israeliten.
