1In the eleventh month of the twelfth[1] year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:2‘Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, “Aha! The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper,”3therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves.4They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock.5Out in the sea she will become a place to spread fishing nets, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She will become plunder for the nations,6and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.7‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: from the north I am going to bring against Tyre Nebuchadnezzar[2] king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, with horsemen and a great army.8He will ravage your settlements on the mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works against you, build a ramp up to your walls and raise his shields against you.9He will direct the blows of his battering-rams against your walls and demolish your towers with his weapons.10His horses will be so many that they will cover you with dust. Your walls will tremble at the noise of the warhorses, wagons and chariots when he enters your gates as men enter a city whose walls have been broken through.11The hooves of his horses will trample all your streets; he will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground.12They will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea.13I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music of your harps will be heard no more.14I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishing nets. You will never be rebuilt, for I the Lord have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord.15‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says to Tyre: will not the coastlands tremble at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan and the slaughter takes place in you?16Then all the princes of the coast will step down from their thrones and lay aside their robes and take off their embroidered garments. Clothed with terror, they will sit on the ground, trembling every moment, appalled at you.17Then they will take up a lament concerning you and say to you: ‘ “How you are destroyed, city of renown, peopled by men of the sea! You were a power on the seas, you and your citizens; you put your terror on all who lived there.18Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall; the islands in the sea are terrified at your collapse.”19‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: when I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths over you and its vast waters cover you,20then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place[3] in the land of the living.21I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.’

1And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,2Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:3Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.4And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.5It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it , saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations.6And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.7For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.8He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.9And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.10By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.11With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.12And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.13And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.14And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it , saith the Lord GOD.15Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?16Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee. pa17And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!18Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.19For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;20When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;21I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more : though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.

Ha! Es ist zerbrochen, das Tor der Völker; es öffnet sich mir! (Eze 26:5; Eze 28:1; Eze 29:18; Da 2:37)8Er wird deine Tochterstädte auf dem Festland mit dem Schwert umbringen, und gegen dich wird er Belagerungstürme aufstellen und einen Wall gegen dich aufwerfen und den Schild gegen dich aufstellen. (2Sa 20:15; Jer 6:6; Jer 32:24)9Er wird auch seine Sturmböcke gegen deine Mauern einsetzen und deine Türme mit seinen Brecheisen niederreißen. (Eze 4:2; Eze 21:27)10Der Staub von der Menge seiner Pferde wird dich bedecken; deine Mauern werden erbeben vor dem Getümmel der Reiter, Räder und Streitwagen, wenn der Feind durch deine Tore einzieht, wie man in eine eroberte Stadt einzuziehen pflegt. (Jos 6:5; Jos 6:20; Jer 8:16; Jer 47:3; Eze 26:7; Eze 26:15; Eze 27:28)11Er wird mit den Hufen seiner Pferde alle deine Gassen zertreten; er wird dein Volk mit dem Schwert töten, und die Gedenksäulen deiner Macht werden zu Boden sinken. (Isa 2:12)12Und sie werden deinen Reichtum rauben und deine Handelsgüter plündern; sie werden deine Mauern niederreißen und deine prächtigen Häuser zerstören; sie werden deine Steine, dein Holz und deinen Schutt ins Wasser werfen. (Pr 11:28; Pr 27:24; Zec 9:3)13So will ich dem Lärm deiner Lieder ein Ende machen, und dein Saitenspiel soll künftig nicht mehr gehört werden. Denn ich, der HERR, habe es gesagt!, spricht GOTT, der Herr. (Eze 24:14; Eze 26:4; Eze 26:5; Eze 28:19)15So spricht GOTT, der Herr, zu Tyrus: Werden nicht von dem Getöse deines Falls, von dem Seufzen der Erschlagenen, von dem Morden in deiner Mitte die Inseln erbeben? (Eze 26:18; Eze 27:28; Eze 27:35; Eze 32:9)16Und alle Fürsten am Meer werden von ihren Thronen herabsteigen; sie werden ihre Mäntel ablegen und ihre gestickten Gewänder ausziehen; in Schrecken werden sie sich kleiden, auf dem Boden sitzen; sie werden jeden Augenblick erzittern und sich über dich entsetzen. (Job 2:13; La 2:10; Jon 3:6)17Und sie werden ein Klagelied über dich anstimmen und zu dir sagen: Ach, wie bist du zugrunde gegangen, in der man über den Meeren thronte, du berühmte Stadt, die mächtig war auf dem Meer, sie und ihre Einwohner, die Schrecken einflößte allen, die um sie her wohnen! (Eze 27:2; Eze 27:25; Eze 27:32; Eze 32:2; Eze 32:16; Re 18:9)18Jetzt werden die Inseln zittern, am Tag deines Falls, ja, die Inseln im Meer sind bestürzt wegen deines Untergangs! (Isa 23:5; Eze 26:15; Re 18:20)19Denn so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Wenn ich dich zur verwüsteten Stadt mache, gleich den unbewohnten Städten, wenn ich die Flut gegen dich aufsteigen lasse und die großen Wasser dich bedecken, (Isa 28:15; Isa 28:18; Eze 26:3; Da 9:26)20dann lasse ich dich hinabfahren mit denen, die in die Grube hinabfahren, zu dem Volk der Vorzeit, dass du in den untersten Örtern der Erde wohnen sollst, gleich uralten Ruinen, mit denen, die in die Grube hinabgefahren sind, damit du unbewohnt bleibst. Aber im Land der Lebendigen schenke ich Herrlichkeit. (Isa 38:19; Eze 31:14; Eze 31:16; Eze 32:18; Mt 22:32; Ac 10:42)21Zum Schrecken will ich dich machen, und du sollst nicht mehr sein! Man wird dich suchen, aber du sollst ewiglich nicht mehr gefunden werden!, spricht GOTT, der Herr. (Ps 37:36; Jer 51:64; Eze 26:16; Eze 27:36; Eze 28:19; Re 18:21)

Die Pforte der Völker ist zerbrochen; nun fällt es mir zu; ich werde jetzt reich werden, weil Jerusalem wüst liegt!«, (Eze 25:3)3darum, so spricht Gott der HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich, Tyrus, und will viele Völker gegen dich heraufführen, wie das Meer seine Wellen heraufführt.4Die sollen die Mauern von Tyrus zerstören und seine Türme abbrechen; ja, ich will sogar seine Erde von ihm wegfegen und will einen nackten Fels aus ihm machen,5einen Platz im Meer, an dem man Fischnetze aufspannt; denn ich habe es geredet, spricht Gott der HERR, und es soll den Völkern zum Raub werden.6Und seine Tochterstädte auf dem Festland sollen mit dem Schwert geschlagen werden, und sie sollen erfahren, dass ich der HERR bin.7Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Siehe, ich will über Tyrus kommen lassen Nebukadnezar, den König von Babel, von Norden her, den König der Könige, mit Rossen, Wagen, Reitern und einem großen Heer. (Jer 27:6; Da 2:37)8Der soll deine Tochterstädte auf dem Festland mit dem Schwert schlagen; aber gegen dich wird er Bollwerke errichten und einen Wall gegen dich aufschütten und ein Schilddach gegen dich erstellen.9Er wird mit Sturmböcken deine Mauern umstoßen und deine Türme mit seinen Werkzeugen einreißen.10Von der Menge seiner Pferde wird Staub dich bedecken. Deine Mauern werden erbeben von dem Getümmel seiner Rosse, Wagen und Reiter, wenn er in deine Tore eindringt, wie man eindringt in eine erstürmte Stadt.11Er wird mit den Hufen seiner Rosse alle deine Gassen zerstampfen. Dein Volk wird er mit dem Schwert erschlagen und deine stolzen Steinmale zu Boden reißen.12Sie werden deine Schätze rauben und deine Handelsgüter plündern. Deine Mauern werden sie abbrechen und deine schönen Häuser einreißen und werden deine Steine und die Balken und den Schutt ins Meer werfen.13Und ich will dem Getön deiner Lieder ein Ende machen, und den Klang deiner Harfen soll man nicht mehr hören. (Am 5:23)14Und ich will einen nackten Fels aus dir machen, einen Platz, an dem man Fischnetze aufspannt, und du sollst nicht wieder gebaut werden. Denn ich, der HERR, habe geredet, spricht Gott der HERR.15So spricht Gott der HERR gegen Tyrus: Was gilt’s? Werden nicht die Inseln erbeben, wenn du fallen wirst mit Getöse und deine Verwundeten stöhnen werden und das Schwert morden wird in deiner Mitte?16Alle Fürsten am Meer werden von ihren Thronen herabsteigen und ihre Oberkleider ablegen und ihre bunten Gewänder ausziehen und sich in Schrecken hüllen und auf der Erde sitzen und immer von Neuem erzittern und sich entsetzen über dich.17Sie werden über dich ein Klagelied anstimmen und zu dir sagen: Ach, wie bist du zugrunde gegangen, du berühmte Stadt, die du am Meer lagst und so mächtig warst auf dem Meer samt deinen Einwohnern, dass sich das ganze Land vor dir fürchten musste!18Nun entsetzen sich die Inseln am Tag deines Falls, und die Inseln im Meer erschrecken über deinen Untergang.19Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Ich will dich zu einer verödeten Stadt machen gleich den Städten, in denen niemand wohnt, und will eine große Flut über dich kommen lassen, dass hohe Wogen dich bedecken,20und will dich hinunterstoßen zu denen, die in die Grube gefahren sind, zu dem Volk der Vorzeit. Ich will dich wohnen lassen in den Tiefen unter der Erde zwischen den Trümmern der Vorzeit bei denen, die in die Grube gefahren sind, dass du keine Wohnung und keine Stätte mehr hast im Lande der Lebendigen; (Isa 14:11; Isa 14:15)21ja, zum Schrecken will ich dich machen, dass es aus ist mit dir und man dich nie mehr findet, wenn man nach dir sucht, spricht Gott der HERR.
